Between You And Me on zee one Sunday 8th January 2023 update, Devina asking Pushpa has any proof that she is Birju’s wife. She threatens her. Akhilesh’s friend Chandu comes with Pushpa and Birju’s marriage photo and certificate. Akhilesh hugs Chandu. Pushpa says I called him here. She shows the photo and certificate to Devina. She gets inside the house. She hits the kalash and breaks Devina and Birju’s pic. Devina gets worried seeing the bungalow getting spoiled. She scolds Pushpa for spoiling the costly carpet. Pushpa asks the children to touch her feet. Devina says my children don’t touch anyone’s feet. Akhilesh goes to Devina.

She asks what do you want. Akhilesh touches Devina’s feet. He says I didn’t come to snatch anyone’s rights, we all are going through the same pain, till Birju comes back,
we should stay together. He goes to his room. Devina calls lawyer to ask about Birju’s will. Desai says I m doing someone else’s work. He sees Ira and cooks food. Devina asks him to come home and meet. Akhilesh gets settled. Chandu says you have right on the things here. Akhilesh says no, its a tough time for everyone, I m eldest one here, I came here to do my duties.
Ira feeds dhokla to her brother Bhavik. He asks her to thank Akhilesh. She refuses. He says he has helped you a lot. She says no way, I won’t go there again. He says I won’t cook today. She says fine, I will say thanks to him. Devina cries for her carpet. Pushpa asks about the temple area in the house. Akhilesh says don’t worry, I will complete this house, I will place a temple here. He gets an idol and places. She worries when diya blows off. He says nothing will happen to dad. They all do aarti. Birju’s son asks him to stop drama and raises hand. Akhikesh holds his hand and says its not the time to fight, sit in jagrata.
Devina and Pushpa argue. Akhilesh and Chandu sign. Pushpa asks Devina to serve everyone. Pushpa sees some shadow and goes. She goes and catches the person. She sees Laali. Chandu says she is from our locality, she had run away. Laali cries and hugs Pushpa. She says I m pregnant. Pushpa says you are unmarried, are you not ashamed, who is the father of child, I will get you married to him. Laali says he is here. Pushpa asks Chandu. Chandu asks what. The men doubt on each other. Laali says Akhilesh. They all get shocked. Laali lies. Ira hears her and says Akhilesh is so disgusting, I had come here to thank him. She leaves. Birju calls Desai and says you have the answer outside your house. Desai gets the envelop. He checks. Birju says this is my decision, this is only way to get my two wives’ attention off me.
Akhilesh saying I didn’t meet Laali, she is lying. Laali lies a lot. Pushpa and Chandu laugh and say Laali is cleanly lying. Laali says I want justice, where will I go with this child, I won’t go anywhere till Akhilesh accepts my child. She faints. Devina gets a letter in her purse. She says she is really pregnant, Akhilesh’s name is written as child’s father, how could you. She shows it to Pushpa. Laali gets conscious. Devina cares for her. Laali blames Akhilesh.
Akhilesh says this baby is not mine. Laali argues with him. She says police will get justice for me. Devina says Birju’s respect will be ruined, if Birju knows this, he will never come back to you. Akhilesh says I didn’t do this thing, everyone would be joking about dad’s two marriages.
Pushpa says I can’t bear his insult. She prays. Devina says there is a way, you shouldn’t stay here till Birju comes back. Pushpa sees Akhilesh.
Ira tells Bhavik that Akhilesh made a girl pregnant, he is so mean, its good that girl exposed his truth, he should go back to his village. Pushpa gets her bag. She says Laali will complaint and get you arrested. Akhilesh says this is wrong, why should we go. Devina says I will manage everything here. Desai comes with Birju’s will. They get shocked reading the will, that his entire properties in his absence will be his first grandson. Pushpa dances happily. She explains Akhilesh that all this belongs to him now, he has to marry Laali and get a son soon. Laali gets shocked. Pushpa asks her to get happy, the baby is getting a name. She asks Lakhan to start marriage mantras. Devina says wait, but Akhilesh is denying that its his child, what if he is saying true. Pushpa says any girl won’t say a lie in such case, marriage will happen today.
Akhilesh says I don’t want to marry. Laali says I haven’t meet Akhilesh before. Akhilesh asks do they believe him now. Pushpa says I had no doubt on you. Laali says Devina made me do this, she paid me money for this drama. They get shocked. Akhilesh asks Desai to leave them alone. Desai goes. Akhilesh scolds Laali for playing with their emotions. Laali apologizes to Pushpa.
Pushpa goes to Devina. Devina vents out her frustration. Akhilesh gets angry and asks Devina and her children to leave. Devina asks did you go mad. He scolds her. He says you got Birju’s love for 25 years, why are you frustrated, my mum stayed without him, your children got his love, I didn’t get his love and blessing, I should have frustration in my heart. Pushpa says great. Akhilesh asks them to leave. Devina says I came here as Birju’s wife, I will go after my death, I will swallow this diamond and die. They all stop her. Akhilesh cries and asks them to stay here. He says you, Aditya, Siddhi, Bhumi can stay here. Devina gets glad. Akhilesh says just trouble my mum, I can’t tolerate this. Devina thanks him and smiles. Akhilesh comes to Pushpa and asks her to drop her anger. She asks him to agree for marriage soon, so that she gets a grandchild. She emotionally blackmails to convince him. She says we came here for Birju, maybe he will come back to see his grandson, else we will go back. He agrees to marry. She asks him to marry only if he is happy. He says I m happy. She says how will we find a city girl for you, we will give ad in the paper.
Pushpa saying I have kept Akhilesh’s swayamvar today. Devina asks seriously, who will marry that emotional joker. Ira and Bhavik get emotional hearing their mum’s recording. Lakhan gets shocked seeing Pushpa with face pack. She says I have to look good today. He says its Akhilesh’s swayamvar, you shouldn’t wear this saree, I will get you a makeover. Bhavik tells Ira about Akhilesh’s Swayamvar. She says you think I will marry that man. He says I m sure this is Aditya’s swayamvar, I have to look after your alliance, get ready now. She says Devina mansion again.
Devina makes Akhilesh wear Birju’s blazer. She compliments him. Akhilesh says I didn’t wear such clothes before. She says I want you to look handsome today. Ira talks to her mum. She says
all this feminine things don’t suit me. She gets an idea and says I will surely get rejected now. Chandu asks where is Pushpa. She says I m here. She gets a makeover and turns into modern woman. She tries to talk in english. She gets emotional seeing Akhilesh. He says I have just worn dad’s clothes, my character is not like him. Chandu takes their selfie. Devina says I have selected some girls, come. Akhilesh says Devina is not bad hearted. Aditya asks Devina why is she helping them, we may come on road if Akhilesh gets married and gets a child. Devina says I have to win their hearts, I will sabotage this Swayamvar, think of something. The girls see Akhilesh’s multi career pictures and praise him. Aditya says the girls will beat him when they know his truth. Ira comes as a villager so that Devina rejects him. Siddhi asks Akhilesh to read the speech she has written, girls will get impressed. The girls like Akhilesh.
Akhilesh welcomes all the girls by reading the speech. Everyone smiles. The girls get angry on him. They scold Pushpa and insult Akhilesh. Ira looks on. Pushpa says you should have shame, I don’t know what mistake Akhilesh did, I just know he is one in a million, what if he is not literate, his heart is very big. The girls scold Pushpa. Pushpa cries. Ira gets angry and scolds the girls to support Pushpa and Akhilesh. She asks them to ask those people who don’t have mum. She tells them what a mum means. Pushpa asks them to leave. Akhilesh thanks Ira for saying in favor of his mum. He asks who are you. Pushpa says she is your would be mum, city girls are like paper rose, this girl is like real rose, she has values and: emotions, she will become your bride.
