Abhimanyu spends time talking with Ruhi, who tells him that he should become a hairdresser instead of a doctor. Meanwhile, Manjiri tells Arohi that Ruhi has become Abhimanyu’s entire world. Arohi lovingly watches Abhimanyu and Ruhi together, while Manjiri asks if she thinks Ruhi values her less because of Abhimanyu. Arohi says no and admits that without Abhimanyu and Ruhi, she would have been completely lost. She adds that Ruhi does not miss Neil as much because Abhimanyu is always there for her.

Abhimanyu asks Ruhi to get ready for school, while Manjiri scolds the staff for not arriving on time. She warns them to value time, as they may regret it later if they fail to do so. Abhimanyu asks Manjiri to relax, and he, Arohi and Ruhi leave for school.
Meanwhile, Abhir and Abhinav return home and inform Akshara that they have sold the jam. Akshara praises them for their efforts, and they decide to open the gift Manish sent them. However, when Akshara, Abhir and Abhinav check the gift, Abhir becomes upset after finding a girl’s dress inside. He wonders why Manish has sent him clothes meant for a girl.
Later, Ruhi and Abhimanyu return home, and Arohi and Manjiri feed Ruhi. Ruhi asks Manjiri to feed her, while Arohi tells her that she can open her surprise gift once she finishes eating. Ruhi becomes excited, and she and Abhimanyu open the gift together. However, Ruhi is shocked to find boys’ clothes inside and wonders why Manish has sent her clothes meant for a boy.
Abhir and Ruhi confront Manish about the exchanged gifts. Manish apologises to both children and explains that the gifts were mixed up by mistake.
Meanwhile, Akshara and Abhimanyu try to contact Manish using a mobile phone, but Akshara is unable to reach him. She asks Abhinav why he never keeps his phone charged, and he suggests that she call Manish from her own phone. Manish eventually speaks to Abhimanyu and apologises for the mix-up, assuring him that he will not repeat the mistake. When Akshara calls Manish, he explains that the gifts were exchanged by accident. Akshara says she is glad it happened because it helped her learn Ruhi’s age. Manish then asks if she will come to meet them, but Akshara refuses to visit the Goenkas.
Ruhi eventually accepts that Manish exchanged the gifts by mistake. Abhimanyu explains that Manish has another grandchild as well. However, Ruhi decides that she will not share Abhimanyu, the Goenkas or Arohi with anyone. Meanwhile, Manjiri suffers an attack, leaving the family concerned.
Mahima becomes angry with Abhimanyu for bringing up Akshara’s name. She and Anand warn him not to try to bring their two worlds together. Later, Abhimanyu walks along the road and refuses to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings. A priest nearby prays to Lord Shiva, asking him to bless Abhimanyu with whatever he desires.
Elsewhere, Akshara, Abhir and Abhinav spend time together. Abhir asks Akshara to sing, but she tells him that she does not know how to sing. Akshara continues looking for ways to sell more jam so she can buy a new taxi. Meanwhile, Abhinav receives a gift from Akshara and notices his photo frame. He thanks her for filling the frames with memories, explaining that he was once so lonely that he used to sing solo parts of songs meant for duets.
Akshara then learns that Abhinav has bought her a saree. She confronts him for spending money unnecessarily and asks him to return the saree and buy himself a pair of shoes instead. Abhinav and Akshara argue about the matter until Abhir joins them. He tells them that he dreams of having his own room and demands that Abhinav arrange one for him.
Akshara asks Abhir to go inside, but he becomes angry with Abhinav for not fulfilling his demand. Abhinav feels hurt, while Akshara advises him not to give in to every demand Abhir makes. However, Abhinav asks her not to scold their son.
Meanwhile, Mahima, Abhimanyu, Anand, Parth, Rohan and Arohi attend a meeting. Mahima becomes furious when she discovers that Ruhi has ruined some important papers. She blames Abhimanyu and Arohi for failing to control Ruhi and warns that the child is becoming spoiled. Abhimanyu defends Ruhi, but Mahima insists that they must take control of the situation. She then asks Abhimanyu to travel to Shimla for a press conference. Abhimanyu refuses because Ruhi has an exam, so Parth decides to go in his place.
Elsewhere, Shefali asks Manjiri why they need to visit the hospital for regular check-ups when they could manage things at home. Manjiri explains that they do not have the necessary machines at home. Arohi later bumps into Shefali and notices the swelling on her body. Mahima calls Shefali and tells her to cover the marks with makeup. Shefali becomes upset by the situation.
Meanwhile, Akshara tries to talk to Abhir, but he refuses to discuss Abhinav. Akshara then explains how Abhinav saved their lives during a difficult time.
In a flashback, Abhinav is seen praying for Akshara and her baby. He begs God to save them both and pleads with the doctor to do everything possible to protect Akshara and Abhir. When Abhinav holds Abhir for the first time, he becomes emotional. Abhir is amazed as he listens to the story of how Abhinav helped them. Akshara explains that Abhinav carried him in his arms for four days because she was too weak to care for him herself. The doctor praises Abhinav for taking such good care of the newborn, and Akshara thanks him for looking after her child.
