A flashback shows Mahima telling Kashvi that Arjun would never sign the custody papers because he loves her too much and wants to build a happy family with her and Karun. She warns that Arjun will keep visiting, which could disturb Karun. Kashvi, torn between her love for Arjun and Karun’s well-being, expresses her dilemma. Mahima then suggests a way out—reminding Kashvi of the night she left Arjun after seeing him with another woman. She tells Kashvi to stage a similar scene with Aditya. Once Arjun believes she has moved on, he will walk away on his own, ensuring Karun’s peace.
Back in the present, Kashvi is in tears. Aditya tells her that only a mother could make such a painful sacrifice, choosing her child’s safety over love. He reassures her that now Arjun will hate her and stay away from Karun, preventing his panic attacks. Kashvi, guilt-ridden, silently apologizes to Arjun for hurting him.
Meanwhile, a devastated Arjun wanders the streets and steps in front of a speeding car. Mahima arrives just in time and pulls him to safety.
Back at home, Kashvi is crying when Karun asks why. She tells him she has hurt someone she loves deeply. Karun advises her to apologize to that person or to God, assuring her that everything will be fine. Kashvi, overwhelmed with emotion, thinks to herself that she did it all for Karun’s sake.
Arjun, still shaken, asks Mahima why she saved him. Pretending to be concerned, she urges him to share his pain, acting as if she doesn’t already know. When Arjun reveals that he saw Kashvi in bed with Aditya, Mahima feigns shock and manipulates him further. She tells him she thought Kashvi loved him but has clearly moved on. As Arjun falls deeper into despair, Mahima secretly revels in her success, pleased that her plan to separate Arjun and Kashvi is working.
Later, Arjun returns home with Mahima. Jagdish is surprised to see them together and questions Arjun, but Arjun brushes it off, saying he will explain later. Mahima takes Arjun to his room and urges him to calm down. Arjun thanks her for her support but firmly states that they can never be together again. Mahima pretends to understand, saying she is only helping him as a friend. Before leaving, she tells him she’ll be staying at the Grand Hotel if he ever wants to talk.
The next day, Micky informs Arjun that someone has come to meet him. A court official hands Arjun a summons for Karun’s custody hearing, scheduled for the next day. Overwhelmed, Arjun realizes Kashvi is fighting to take Karun away from him. Mahima arrives with a lawyer and tells Arjun they should fight together as Karun’s parents. She insists that they will win and ensure Karun stays with them.
Meanwhile, Kashvi asks her lawyer if she stands a chance in the case. The lawyer reassures her that they will fight to win Karun’s custody.
Back at Arjun’s house, his lawyer explains that winning custody will be difficult if he remains single since Karun has lived with Kashvi for six years. Arjun is shocked when the lawyer says he must be married to improve his chances. Frustrated, Arjun realizes Mahima’s true intentions and confronts her, but Mahima insists she is only trying to help.
At court, Arjun and Mahima arrive together, and Mahima holds his hand. In a flashback, Arjun tells her he needs to talk. He asks the lawyer if there’s another solution, but there isn’t. Reluctantly, Arjun agrees to stay with Mahima, but only for appearances—to win Karun’s custody.
Kashvi, seeing them together, assumes Arjun is selfish and moved on quickly. Holding Aditya’s hand, she decides to play along, while Mahima and Aditya exchange satisfied smiles.
