Dana told Lucy that someone was asking for money in exchange for the video and they wanted 10 million. Dana’s nurse overheard them talking about the incident and stole the phone when Dana was asleep. She gave it to Adam before she resigned.
Adam was on his way to work when he decided to see what was in the phone. He was shocked to see the video of Dana beating up Jia. He went back home to find Dana and Lucy busy looking for the phone. He showed Dana the phone and asked if that’s what she was looking for. Before Dana could say anything, Adam slapped her. He then collapsed on the floor. Dana called Lucy and they rushed him to the hospital.
Jia and Kai went to visit Adam at the hospital but Lucy and Dana did not want them there. Dana blamed Jia for what happened to him but Jia said that Adam was with them when he fell ill. The doctor came to tell them that Adam was fine so Jia and Kai left.
David booked a trip to Singapore because he wanted to take some time off to see Helen. He could not bring Michael along because Dana would not allow him. Dana therefore came to get Michael and brought him to Adam’s place.
After Adam was discharged, he asked for a family meeting with Dana, Lucy, Jia and Kai. He decided to fire Dana from her position at the company and enrolled her in an anger management class. He also said that she would not be running Dragon Empire as CEO because she was not qualified to be a leader. Dana wanted to object but Lucy asked her not to. Adam also requested to have Jia help out by joining their companies and she agreed to give it a try. She however refused to get into any long term commitment.
David was at Adam’s house to see Michael before he left for Singapore. He ran into Jia there but he couldn’t talk to her because of Dana. Dana and Lucy kicked him out without letting him see Michael.
Jia was able to impress a client at Empire Builders and Lucy was not happy. She reprimanded her team for letting Jia come up with the ideas they should have proposed. She later tried to intimidate Jia and said that she was only there because of Adam. Jia however said that she earned her reputation on her own and they were the ones who needed her. She therefore asked Lucy not to do anything to harm her because she would end up hurting her company too.
When Jia and Kai visited Adam, Jia got to see Michael. He was supposed to go to an event at school with Dana but she was stuck in traffic. Adam asked Jia to go with him and she was delighted. They had fun together but Dana quickly took Michael when she arrived.
Adam was resting at home so Lucy called to have food prepared for him. She found out that Kai was there preparing Tamarind stew for him and she quickly rushed home. She said that she wanted to try Kai’s stew as well and joined them.
