Ayush asks Shalu to leave, but she reminds him that she is not a puppet who must follow his orders. She refuses to listen to him and insists that she will leave whenever she wants. Malishka asks Ayush whether he likes Shalu’s misbehaviour, but he tells her that he does not care. Kiran calls the situation a joke and points out that they can clearly see Ayush getting hurt. Malishka laughs at him, leaving Ayush annoyed. He tells Kiran to keep her advice and suggestions to herself because he does not want to talk to them. Malishka scolds him for insulting her mother and warns him that she will not tolerate his behaviour anymore.

Ayush asks Malishka whether she has made up her mind and tells her that if she has, she should simply leave. Malishka is offended and questions how he dares to ask her to leave. She reminds him that she is going to become Rishi’s wife and is carrying Rishi’s child, the heir to the Oberoi family. She warns Ayush that he has no right to ask her to leave the house. However, Ayush stands his ground and says they will see who gets thrown out of the house. Meanwhile, Lakshmi holds Rishi, who asks why she has not left yet. She explains that she stayed because he asked her to and wants to meet the children before leaving. Rishi tells her that the police have come to take her away. He admits that he became emotional and foolish enough to lie to the police. Lakshmi hugs him and cries, but Rishi tries to push her away. She asks him to give their relationship another chance, but he refuses because he blames her for his mother’s death.
Mukesh informs Ayush that Lakshmi is inside the house, but Ayush says he has not seen her. Mukesh questions why Ayush is acting so casually, as though he does not care about what is happening. He urges Ayush to support Lakshmi, reminding him that he is her Lakshman. Mukesh explains that Rishi is always confused and keeps fighting with Lakshmi, whereas Ayush has always understood her. Ayush angrily scolds Mukesh for interfering, and Mukesh apologizes for crossing his limits. Ayush then asks whether Mukesh has spoken to Shalu, but Mukesh says she has not told him anything. Mukesh feels hurt because Ayush has treated him like a servant despite the respect he has always shown the family. He praises Lakshmi and Shalu for treating him with dignity. Mamta arrives and overhears their conversation.
Ayush explains to Mukesh that everyone in the house treats him like a family member. Mukesh apologizes for upsetting him, but Mamta asks Ayush not to behave badly towards Mukesh and praises Lakshmi for the respect she gives him. Mukesh asks Mamta to stay out of their matter because he does not want her speaking against Ayush. However, Mamta refuses to stop and continues lecturing Ayush.
Mukesh apologizes to Ayush on Mamta’s behalf, but Mamta explains that she cannot tolerate anyone speaking badly about Mukesh because she loves him. She says that although they are poor, they always help each other. Ayush is confused by their conversation and walks away. Mukesh then scolds Mamta for annoying Ayush and tells her that he does not love her and does not want to see her around him. Mamta argues that Ayush has no right to mistreat Mukesh, but Mukesh explains that he was only asking Ayush to support Lakshmi. He knows that Ayush wants to help Lakshmi but is pretending not to care. Mamta tells him to let them do whatever they want, but Mukesh says she will never understand the situation because he genuinely loves the Oberoi family.
Meanwhile, the police search the Oberoi mansion but fail to find Lakshmi. The inspector informs Malishka that they have come to look for her, and Kiran asks why they are searching for Lakshmi. Kiran pretends to know nothing, and she and Malishka begin acting innocent. The inspector explains the entire incident to them. Malishka tells Kiran that Lakshmi cannot be trusted because she changes colours like a chameleon. She describes Lakshmi as dangerous and accuses her of betraying people. However, the inspector insists that Lakshmi is innocent. Malishka claims that Lakshmi has fooled him just as she deceived the Oberoi family, but he says he knows the truth and will not leave until he finds Lakshmi and takes her to the police station.
The inspector asks about Paro, and Malishka tells him that Paro and Rohan have gone to meet their friends. He suspects that Lakshmi may be hiding in the house to meet Paro. Kiran tells him to protect the family and hints that Lakshmi might be in Rishi’s room. She then asks Malishka to send a servant along with the police to help them search. However, Malishka makes an excuse and remains where she is. Kiran praises Malishka for caring so much about the family.
Malishka begins crying, prompting the inspector to ask what is wrong. She explains that she loves the family dearly but fears that Lakshmi could hurt someone if she is really hiding in the house. She urges the inspector to arrest Lakshmi and protect the Oberoi family. Malishka also praises Aanchal for managing the family after Neelam’s death. Aanchal and Neha arrive and overhear her words, leaving Aanchal wondering what is happening.
Neha explains that she is Aanchal’s caretaker. Aanchal adds that she has not been feeling well, which is why she hired Neha. She then asks the inspector what is going on and whether Lakshmi is really inside their house.
