Between You And Me on zee one Monday 29th May 2023 update, The pheras are complete. Akhilesh and Kunika sit down. Akhilesh makes Kunika wear mangalsutra. Bhavik, Mishri and Vansh are unhappy. Akhilesh fills vermilion in Kunika’s hairline. Mishri requests God to do something. No one can come between my Mapu and Bapu. Pundit ji announces them as husband and wife. Kunika turns to Pushpa. I finally became your DIL. They seek blessings of Pushpa when Ira tells her why she is wasting her blessing. The kids smile in relief. They run to Ira.

Ira tells Pushpa that Kunika is not her DIL. Akhilesh walks up to her. Why are you here? Leave or I will call police. She tells him to go ahead. I will also tell them that you are already married. This is illegal. Everyone is taken aback. Akhilesh asks Ira if she forgot signing divorce papers herself. Pushpa and
Devina second him. Ira acts forgetful. It will be right if you guys are saying so. Show me the papers.
Akhilesh cannot find the papers in his room. He returns empty handed and tells his mother the papers aren’t there. Devina and Pushpa ask him where they must be. Ira shows them the papers. They have not been submitted in the court yet which means we are not divorced legally. I am your legal wife even today! Kunika fumes. Ira adds that what he did with Kunika just now is illegal. Akhilesh asks her how she got hold of the papers. Bhavik smiles. Flashback shows Bhavik stealing the divorce papers from Akhilesh’s room and giving them to Ira. Devina tells Ira to stop smiling. There isn’t anything funny going on here. I am sure one of the family members has helped you steal this. Ira tells her to leave that behind. What matters is that I have the papers! I am still Akhilesh’s lawfully wedded wife! Kunika tells Akhilesh to submit these papers in court right away. Ira asks Akhilesh if he wants these papers. She holds them out towards Akhilesh but drops them in havan kund shocking Akhilesh’s family. Devina tries to take them out but it is too late. Mishri stands next to her mother. Devina tells Pushpa to do something. She thinks she cannot let her dreams of crores burn away. Ira says sadly they are burnt. Akhilesh says I know you did it intentionally. She accepts it. Pushpa says people are burnt more seeing their loved ones happy rather than getting burnt because of fire. I know you cannot see Akhilesh happy. He was about to start a new life but you couldn’t let him be happy. Ira tells her she is mistaken. I have no intention of being a thorn in his path. I have come here only for my daughter. Akhilesh may write someone else’s name on his heart but Mishri’s mother will also be Ira Pandey. Mishri becomes complete with the halves of each of us. I wont let anyone snatch the half part of me from Mishri! Kunika tells her to shut up. I am Akhilesh’s wife and Mishri’s mother after today! You came late. This marriage has happened already. Ira laughs. Let me remind you again. Whatever happened just now was illegal!
Akhilesh asks Ira what she wants in return of this drama. She asks for her daughter. I am not interested in a single penny of yours and never had any! I will stay with Mishri if Mishri cannot stay with me. I have decided that I will stay in this very house from today onwards! Everyone is stunned except the kids. Pushpa asks Ira if she has lost her mind. The doors of this house will remain closed for you forever! Devina seconds her. You are confusing us Ira. On one hand you say that you are not interested in any luxury while on the other hand you want to stay in this house! Ira denies. I don’t want any luxury. My daughter is my real fortune. I have only decided to stay here but I wont even drink water from this house. I have to just protect my daughter from the ill intentions of a few evil people. I have decided to stay here for the same reason. I will file a case for Mishri’s custody if you have any objection to it. I will also file a case for him marrying again when he was already married. You guys wont be able to do anything! Pushpa tells her they aren’t afraid of her. Do whatever you want. Devina decides to hire the best lawyer and shows Ira her place. Ira tells her they will see that in court. Devina argues but Akhilesh tells everyone that Ira will stay here only. Pushpa and Devina tell her not to fall in Ira’s words again. We wont be able to adjust with Ira for anything. Akhilesh tells them they wont have to adjust. He shifts his family on the other side of the kund and creates a line between them using vermilion. Ira will stay here only but she wont stay with us. That part of the house will belong to Ira and we will stay on this side. No member will try to cross this line to meet Ira and vice versa. Mishri will be right in front of your eyes but you wont come to this side ever to meet her. Our happiness and Kunika and my love will be right in front of your eyes throughout the time. I hope you will be able to bear it. Welcome to your new home. he heads upstairs. Everyone else leaves one by one as well except the kids and Bhavik. The kids hug Ira. Mishri tells Ira not to take Bapu’s words to heart. He says anything whenever he is angry. You guys will patch up soon. I am glad that you will stay with us from now onwards. Bhavik suggests feeding her sweets to welcome her. Ira tells the kids to freshen up and change.
Kunika comes back to taunt / challenge Ira. Understand one thing clearly. No one can separate my husband from me. Ira says I was very happy that Akhilesh has finally moved on his life and is about to settle down. It is true that I still love him and will be hurt seeing you both together. I was a little relieved thinking someone is there to take care of him but after seeing your true colours, I cannot let his and Mishri’s life be ruined. I will bring out your truth in front of everyone one day for sure! Let me remind you again. Whatever happened just now is illegal. This is nothing. Akhilesh was, is and will always remain my husband!
Pushpa tells Akhilesh he dint do the right thing by letting Ira stay here. Akhilesh says I had no other option. She would have snatched Mishri from me otherwise. Devina tells him to not let Ira use him like this. We will find some other solution. Kunika comes there. Pushpa asks her if she agrees with Akhilesh’s decision. Kunika looks at Akhilesh. I don’t care if Ira stays here. I only know that Akhilesh is my husband. Our relation wont change because of anyone’s presence in the house. Pushpa smiles in relief. I don’t want anything else. I can live in peace now. May God bless you both. She taunts Devina on getting a great DIL and takes her outside.
Akhilesh turns to Kunika. She assures him she isn’t threatened by Ira at all. You are with me. Why should I worry when my husband is
with me? Akhilesh tells Kunika they aren’t married. We only took 6 pheras. Only Pundit ji and I know this truth. She asks him about it. He shares that Pundit ji said that this mahurat isn’t right for marriage. We have some differences which were there when Ira and I got married too. I dint want Ira to contest the custody battle in court so I married you in a rush. I will complete this marriage asap. She calms herself down to keep pretending before Akhilesh. She tells him it is okay. We will be married someday soon. I really compliment what you are doing for Mishri and I will support you in this. It is good that Ira is here. Now Mishri will find out how toxic her mom is. Akhilesh tells her to make sure no one finds out this truth. She nods. Akhilesh leaves. Kunika sits down miffed. I was so pleased that we finally got married. I wont give up though as Akhilesh and I will get a chance to come closer because of this lie. Akhilesh will become weak one day. If anything happens between us then he will be compelled to marry me!
Mishri stops herself from crossing the line sadly. She goes to Bhavik. Bapu has told me not to talk to Mapu. Ask her why she came so late. Bapu and Khalnayika aunty are married now. Ira tells Bhavik to tell her that she is finally here. This is enough. Mishri insists that she dint want it to happen at all. Ira advises her through Bhavik to go and do her homework. You don’t have to intervene between the elders always. Now that I am back, Akhilesh and I will surely revive our love. Mishri goes upstairs happily with Vansh. Bhavik asks Ira if she is sure she will be able to win Akhilesh’s love again. Ira says I trust myself and the love that Akhilesh and I shared. He may try to hide his feelings but I know how much he loves me deep down. I will rekindle it. Bhavik reasons that Akhilesh just got married to Kunika today. It is their suhagraat. She will try to come close to Akhilesh. Ira is sure it wont happen. She tells him a plan (in mute).
Bhavik asks the kids if they know the plan. They nod and knock at the door. Kunika opens the door. The kids tell her that they have come to decorate the room. She knows they are fooling her. I know you are on Ira’s side. They insist that they are happy seeing Akhilesh happy. Kunika doubts them. She checks the thaal filled with flower petals but finds nothing in it. Bhavik signals Mishri from the door. Mishri takes out a bag kept in the drawer. Vansh stands in front of Mishri as she runs out with the bag but Kunika snatches it out of Bhavik’s hands. She opens it only to find old stuff kept in the bag. Why were you stealing this? Mishri replies that Ira has asked for it. Kunika threatens Bhavik to tell her everything. He rues that such a brilliant plan failed. He sends the kids downstairs. He next tells Kunika that this is Ira and Akhilesh’s romantic secret. Whenever Akhilesh was romantic, he used to tell Ira to wear the Kushti clothes and smear this oil over her. Kunika looks at him puzzled. He whispers something in her ear. This is what Bhaiya thinks. He signals at the kids who do thumbs up at him from behind a vase. Kunika is in disbelief. This is why you were taking this bag downstairs. Bhavik nods. Ira dint want you to use this oil and do Kushti with Bhaiya. Kunika tells him to Ira that her plan is foiled. Now this new bride will do just that! Bhavik leaves. Kunika does a little happy dance and takes the bag inside with her.
Kunika cannot bear the stench of the oil but still applies it to win over Akhilesh. She hides behind the curtains in wearing the Kushti uniform. Akhilesh comes in the room. He spreads a mattress on the floor. I will sleep on the floor and you can sleep on the bed. Kunika gets out and holds him from behind. Akhilesh throws her on the bed thinking it is some thief. He laughs seeing her attire. What are you wearing? She cannot explain anything. I thought you will relax. This is what Bhavik told me! She realises that she got fooled again. Akhilesh says Ira got the kids on her side too. I knew that this toxic woman will spoil the night. I knew she will do something but I will pay back. Kunika blames Ira. She got me beaten from my fake husband on my fake suhagraat! Akhilesh asks her if he can help her but she denies. You have already done enough. Kunika has put a band around her neck. Akhilesh paces and peeks out of the room. Kunika suggests him to sleep as it is too late but he still goes to check on Ira.
Akhilesh goes downstairs stealthily. She has switched off the lights. She must be up to something. He hides behind the sofa. Ira comes out wearing a beautiful floor length dress. She has seen him. Close your mouth or mosquito will go inside. He tells her he came to kill the mouse. Are you going on some birthday party? Why are you wearing these kinds of clothes? She asks him if it concerns her. Why are you peeking at my side of the house? Akhilesh asks Ira why she got poor Kunika hit by her own husband on suhagraat. Ira laughs. Finally you did something right. He asks her if he does everything wrong. I only did one wrong thing which was to marry you. She asks him if he is doing the right thing by spending time with her on his suhagraat. Seems like you are still attached to me. He denies. I came here to find the mouse. Doorbell rings. Akhilesh opens the door and a guy (Kunal) asks for Ira. Ira greets Kunal. Kunal compliments her on her dress and they hug. Akhilesh turns red with jealousy.
Kunla gives flowers to Ira. She speaks sweetly to him. Akhilesh looks at them out of jealousy. She holds Kunal’s arm and takes him inside. She also tells Akhilesh to shut the door. Akhilesh does as told. He asks Ira about Kunal. Ira shares that they met on a dating site. It is our first date. He asks her if she isn’t ashamed to go on a date after having a daughter. She asks him if he dint feel ashamed after marrying someone. She goes back to Kunal. I know we decided to meet outside but let’s make it special here. I am anyways alone here. She has arranged candle light dinner for them. Akhilesh keeps looking at them. Ira gives him cold coffee. I know it is your favourite. It is my favourite too. Some people who drink Badam milk could never appreciate cold coffee. They are stuck with Neem
ka kadha now. Kunal smiles looking at Akhilesh. Kunla loves the cold coffee and kisses her on her hand to compliment her. She calls him sweet. My ex-husband never appreciated me which is why I am not used to hearing compliments. I have a good taste in music too. He tells her to go ahead. She plays a song which he loves too. He inches closer to her. Our taste is very similar in music too. I am so glad to have found you. She stumbles and he holds her shocking Akhilesh. She tells him that she always wanted to be with a strong man who could protect her. He suggests making this meeting memorable.
They dance romantically on Honton Pe Bas Tera Naam Hai song right in front of Akhilesh who is seething in anger by now. Kunal caresses her hair while dancing and cups her face. Akhilesh looks away but cannot hold himself back for too long. It is enough! I will see this guy! He tells them to stop this dance. Kunal withdraws his hands but Ira keeps his hands again around her waist. He knows nothing about dance. Akhilesh steps in her side of the house. Leave now if the date is over. This guy isn’t right for you. She asks him how he can say this. On what basis are you judging him? Akhilesh is sure he must be lacking something. Kunal says I am well educated and have roamed the world. Akhilesh checks his clothes and finds cigarettes. He throws it on the floor. You both wont live after a while! Ira asks him who is he to make decision on her personal life / choice. He stops himself from calling him her husband. He pushes Kunal out of the house. Ira smiles. I knew you still love me. You just proved me right today. Kunal looks at Ira who whispers a thank you in his direction.
She asks Akhilesh how she dare ruin her date. I made all this with so much love. He tells her to try at the right place. Who said that I don’t like cold coffee? She says I am saying it. You have more almond milk inside your veins than anything else. Go to your Kunika now. He tells her she is wrong. I like it more than anything else. He makes her pour a glass of cold coffee for him. She mixes a tablet in it. They will save you from having suhagraat with Kunika. I am sorry. Akhilesh gulps down cold coffee in a go. I loved it! Who told you I don’t like it? You know nothing about me! You have misconceptions about me. He starts feeling dizzy. Ira asks him if he is fine. You cannot even stand on your feet. She goes to drop him till his room.
