Between You And Me on zee one Friday 7th July 2023 update, Ira cries her heart out in her room. I cannot believe it! Akhilesh cannot do anything like that. He cannot think of anyone except me! Kabir is watching her from the door. He calls out to her. She asks him why he did this. I know Akhilesh very well. He can never do this. There is nothing wrong in his character.

He wouldn’t even look at girls before meeting me and you are saying that he misbehaved with Mira? She cries. He asks her if she thinks he is lying to her. Why did he agree to marry Mira if he hadn’t done so? Why was his family out there too? I can understand your pain but it is true that Akhilesh was in the same bed as Mira. She wanted to kill herself. Akhilesh stopped her and chose to marry her! Ira still refuses to accept it. There must be some other reason. I will talk to him. I
will tell him I am his Ira. He will tell me the truth then. Kabir stops her. I will tell you the reason. He imagined you in Mira. He went crazy. He imagines you everywhere. This is what drove him to Mira. He has to forget his past to get over it! Whatever happened was right. Mira is a good girl. I know her well. She will take care of Akhilesh and make him an independent person. Ira asks him what about her. Kabir reminds her that she dint come here to be with Akhilesh. You are still a terrorist in the eyes of the world! You cannot be with your family. Stop crying. She requests him not to snatch her right to cry atleast. I cannot do anything else. I am sorry. Kabir pats at her shoulder. He thinks Akhilesh and Ira wont unite at any cost now! Now I have to find the perfect time to take Mishri from here!
Mishri is standing on her one feet with folded hands. Tears stream down her cheeks. Vansh tells her to accept the truth. We cannot change it. Mishri refuses to stand on her two feet till the time she gets her answers. Why are you doing this to me?
Pundit ji asks the newlyweds to take everyone’s blessings. Akhilesh says I have no relation with anyone and walks away. Tanya and Aditya leave as well. Mira walks up to the kids. Mishri asks God why he separated her Mapu and Bapu. Mira tells her not to hurt herself. Mishri advises her to stay away from her. I thought you are an angel. How can you marry my Bapu? I told you that my Mapu is alive! Pushpa also calls her bad. Mira tries to explain that the circumstances weren’t right. I am thankful to your Bapu for saving my life. Mishri tells her she wont be able to take her Mapu’s place ever. Amaya Aunty is my Mapu. Mira says I wont be able to explain my situation to you but there might be some hidden agenda behind it. If Amaya is your Mapu then she wont be able to spill the beans herself. We will have to instigate her to say it! Vansh seconds her. Mishri says we must make Mapu jealous little by little every day especially you. Mapu wont be able to see you closer to Bapu and tell us everything! You will leave Bapu afterwards, right? Mishri folds her hands at Mira who nods. Pushpa says I will not spare her if she wont leave my friend. Mishri takes Pushpa with her as it is lunch time.
Mira folds her hands in reverence. It is your plan. Do something because of which Amaya Bhabhi turns out to be only Ira’s lookalike! You know that I have started to like Akhilesh. Come what may, I wont be able to break this girl’s heart!
Mishri, Vansh and Pushpa come to Ira’s room. They find the room dark. Ira tells them not to switch on the lights. I have a headache. Why have you come here? Mishri says I want to decorate the room of newlyweds. Ira asks her how she had a change of heart towards Mira. Mishri says earlier I thought you are my Mapu but you weren’t bothered at all seeing them getting married. You aren’t my Mapu then. I will begin to call angel aunty my Mapu soon. Vansh asks Ira to help them decorate Akhilesh’s room. Ira refuses. I have a headache. Leave. Mishri smiles seeing her thus. You are the Bhabhi of my angel aunty. She will feel bad not seeing you involved. Ira replies that she does not care. Vansh says Kabir uncle will feel bad. Mishri says I cannot let him get upset. She asks Pushpa to take Ira downstairs. Pushpa pulls Ira who shouts against it. Mishri hopes Ira will spill her truth seeing Mira and Akhilesh together.
Akhilesh is in tears. I don’t know how I made such a big mistake! I always think only about you. I don’t know what I did unknowingly. It was my mistake to see your reflection in Mira. You married me to rectify your mistake years ago. Today I married Mira to rectify my mistake. Please forgive me if possible. The kids bring Ira there. Akhilesh asks them what they are up to. Mishri and Vansh reply that they are decorating his room. Akhilesh tells them against it but Pushpa says the aunty who looks like Ira Kaki asked us to decorate the room. She will scold us otherwise. Mishri says Mapu is angel aunty’s bhabhi. This is her gift to angel aunty. The kids bring flowers and candles. Mishri asks Ira to help them calling her Mapu. Mishri corrects herself. Make a heart on the bed and write – Akhilesh weds Mira. Vansh and I are weak in spellings. Ira complies with their wish. She recalls her past moments with Akhilesh.
Mishri and Vansh decorate the room with candles. Ira is on the verge of tears. Akhilesh looks pained as well. Ira tries to leave but Mishri blocks her way. She points at her photos with Akhilesh on the side table. We have to take them out of this room now as we have to keep Akhilesh and Mira’s photos in the room.
Vansh says I am busy in this and Mishri will feel bad to remove these pictures. Please do it. Mishri requests Ira to remove the pictures. Akhilesh looks out of the window as Ira removes the photos. She wipes her tears and holds the photos close. She recalls the memories attached with those photos. Mishri and Vansh look at Akhilesh and Ira. They do thumbs up at each other. Akhilesh is taking out something from his drawer when Mira enters. She notices Ira in the room. Mishri welcomes Mira. Angel aunty brought almond milk with her! Mishri tells her that she will stay in this room with Bapu after today. My Bapu loves almond milk. She takes Vansh with her. Let’s leave Bapu and angel aunty together for a while. Ira collides with Akhilesh. Mishri realises that they banged their heads. Do it again
or there will be horns on your head. The kids force Akhilesh and Ira to repeat it. Mira looks away unhappily. Vansh asks Ira if she congratulated the newlyweds. Ira congratulates them once by one and then walks out of the room. The kids take Pushpa with her.
Outside, Mishri says Mapu’s eyes were brimming when she was taking out the photos. She must be so hurt. Pardon me Lord for this but I only want her to tell her truth to everyone. Please help me. She asks Vansh if he saw how troubled Mapu was when she came to that room. The day isn’t far when she will accept her truth. Vansh says i also want it but I hope she wont push herself away all the more. Mamu is married to angel aunty now. Mishri says I know it will never be possible. Bapu got so angry seeing Mapu’s birthday cake but he did cut the second cake with us later. A flashback is shown. Vansh is tempted to eat the cake but Mishri wants either Ira or Akhilesh to cut the cake. Akhilesh tells the kids to sleep. Amma has slept. Vansh requests him to cut the cake that they brought for Ira. Akhilesh denies. Mishri says we are celebrating Mapu’s birthday like this for the first time. Take a deep breath and sit with me. Don’t think if she is Amaya or our Mapu. Just celebrate my Mapu’s birthday. She will be happy wherever she is. Akhilesh nods. The kids sing Happy Birthday song as he cuts the cake. He gets emotional and excuses himself. Vansh eats the cake excitedly while Mishri stands there teary eyed. He gives the cake with cherry to Mishri. She tells him that she keeps it for Mapu always. Flashback ends. Mishri says my Bapu wont be able to forget Mapu ever. No one can take her place in his heart ever.
Mira walks towards Akhilesh. She gives him the glass of milk. He keeps it aside. Kids have taken out Ira’s memories from the room. Even I will forget it with time. I will try my best to fulfil my pati-dharma for you. She says even I will try to make sure you never miss Ira. He holds her hands. They share a long eye lock. She closes her eyes as he leans closer. Lights go off. Ira wakes up with a start. Akhilesh cannot do this! She realises she had been dreaming. Kabir asks her what happened. Why do you look so tensed? They got married. She says how I will be able to see them together every day. I dint know Akhilesh will move on. I wanted him to stop him from hurting himself since his guilt of killing me. I know Mira will help him but I wonder why I cannot accept it. Kabir advised her to be strong. She replies that she is trying. I know that nothing can happen between me and Akhilesh. He is a really nice guy. He will spend his life with Mira now. I will go away once Akhilesh settles and Moti Ba becomes normal again. Kabir compliments her on her strength. I have never seen a girl like you. I have some work. She lies down again as he heads to the study. My work here is done. Now Akhilesh and Ira wont be together ever again. It means it has become easier to reach Mishri now. I will replace my daughter’s heart with Mishri’s. I promise you my dear you will be fine very soon!
Kabir is in hospital. He makes butterflies and tells his daughter he will show it to her once she recovers. You will get well soon now. This is Papa’s promise to you. I am very near my mission! We will have to transplant Mishri’s heart inside you asap. You will be fine like before. You will be able to dance, swim and ride a horse like before! We will go on a vacation then. She starts breathing heavily and he panics. He calls out for help. A nurse comes running and checks Kabir’s daughter. She assures Kabir that his daughter is fine now. Relax. He scolds her for leaving his daughter alone. I pay you so much. She reasons that she went to attend her family member’s call. He asks her what if something had happened to his daughter in 2 minutes. She retorts that no one dies in 2 minutes. He picks a scalpel. Apologize! Don’t make me angry like this. I can do anything when I am angry!
Akhilesh is thinking of how Ira made all the arrangements for his suhagraat tonight. How to tell Mira that nothing like this can happen between us?
Akhilesh comes to his room and finds Mira making a temporary bed on the floor. What are you doing? She says I know under which circumstances we married. I also know that you were only thinking about Ira while you were with me a while ago. I have seen it in your eyes how much you love her and I also know I wont be able to take her place ever. You gave a very big sacrifice to save my dignity. It is also my duty not to force our relation on you till the time you accept this relation wholeheartedly. There will be 2 beds in this room till then. There wont be any push from my side. I will bring my clothes from hostel tomorrow. He advises her to sleep on the bed instead. She sits on the bed. I know that your and Ira’s relation also started this way but you both fell in love one day. I pray that you
also start loving me one day. Akhilesh lies down on the floor. I know it is very difficult for you (Mira) but I hope you will be able to forgive me considering the pain that I am living with. We both are starting a new life in this room today. He looks at the desk where his wedding photos were. I love Ira very much and I wont be able to forget her ever. He picks Ira’s photo. One can move your photos but not the memories that I have of you. I promise you I will have a special place in my heart for you always. I will see your face before going to bed and the moment I wake up. I have to hide this photo before the kids can get hold of it. I cannot let you go away from me. He hides the photo under a cover.
Mishri wakes up Vansh. He complains that the school is closed today. Let me sleep. She tells him that she has something very important to tell. He rues that he just got a superpower in his dream. She tells him to become a superhero later. I think Bapu has hid one photo somewhere. He is used to see Mapu’s photo in the morning. Vansh suggests her to let Akhilesh keep it. Mishri says what if we hide the photo and make him see Mapu live. He calls her cupid. She misunderstands him and calls him stupid. He explains the meaning of cupid. She agrees to become the cupid. We have to remove Mapu’s photo from Bapu’s room and we also have to bring Mapu in front of him. Come.
Mishri and Vansh peek inside Akhilesh’s room. She smiles seeing Akhilesh sleeping on the floor. I told you that angel aunty and Bapu wont sleep together. He only loves my Mapu. Vansh tells her to focus on the task. They get inside stealthily. Mishri finally finds Ira’s photo. Alarm buzzes. The kids duck behind the bed. Akhilesh rubs his eyes but does not really open them. He walks towards the place where he had hid Ira’s photo but hurts his feet. Mishri asks Vansh to bring Ira. He worries that he has no reason. She still sends him. You will find an idea yourself. Akhilesh is scanning the room for Ira’s photo (with his eyes still closed).
Devina notices Vansh outside Ira’s room and becomes curious.
Ira looks at her mangalsutra. This is of no meaning now as Akhilesh is married to Mira now. He isn’t mine anymore.
Akhilesh hurts his feet. Mishri starts shouting in concern. What happened, Bapu? You are hurt badly. Tell me how you got hurt. He tells her to stop shouting. Vansh shouts from upstairs. Is Mamu hurt badly? Will he not be able to go to work? Call ambulance asap. Ira overhears it and panics for Akhilesh. Vansh runs downstairs before Ira steps out of her room. Devina is watching everything and decides to check what’s happening.
Akhilesh tells Mishri she is fine. I have a habit of looking at Ira’s photo as soon as I wake up. Mishri offers to show him. He tells her that it is on the TV. Mishri takes him to the door. I know where it is. Ira enters just then. Akhilesh opens his eyes upon Mishri’s askance and looks at Ira. Devina is watching them from the door. Ira and Akhilesh share a long eye lock. They are reminded of their past moments together. Mishri and Vansh are all smiles. Mishri was about to do her happy dance but Vansh stops her hinting that they will not be spared. Mishri murmurs that she is the best cupid of the world. They pick up rose petals and throw them on Akhilesh and Ira. She throws the basket aside as soon as Akhilesh looks at her. I dint do anything. It fell on its own. Akhilesh complains that he wanted to see Ira and you (Mishri) made me see this woman’s face. Mishri shows him Ira’s photo. It was in my hands only. What’s my mistake if you opened your eyes in front of aunty first instead of Mapu’s photo? He says my day will be bad as I saw her photo. Ira says my day will be bad as I bought this house. Mishri tells her not to say anything about the outhouse in which Akhilesh stays. He is so used to the outhouse that he slept on the floor tonight. Devina asks Ira what she is doing in this room. Ira lies that her earring fell while decorating the room yesterday but this guy has spoiled my mood. Devina offers to do it but Ira dismisses it. Akhilesh takes the photo from Mishri. Devina is sure something is fishy. Vansh looks at her curiously. What are you doing here? You still have to dust the living room. Devina nods and leaves. Mishri turns to Vansh. Mapu and Bapu were so lost in each other. Now I will unite them! Vansh tells her he is hungry. Let’s eat.
Devina tells Aditya and Tanya it is Ira and not Amaya. Adi says you are confusing us now. You only said Ira died in the bomb blast. Tanya says she dint save either Mishri or Pushpa the other day. She even gave a day’s challenge to Akhilesh for the house. Devina calls it her mind games. We cannot let her go. We have to try again. Adi reasons that she isn’t even affected by Akhilesh and Mira’s wedding. Devina says she is trying to fool us. She tells them what she saw today. We have to find another way to expose Ira. Tanya gives up. I don’t want to take any more tests. I get trapped in such tests in the end. I have another idea in which we don’t even need Ira. She smiles as she takes Kabir’s name. I will trap Kabir in my love. Adi is uncomfortable but Tanya is positive this plan will work.
At the dining table, Mishri says I am missing Mapu’s cooking. It’s been so long since I ate something which she cooked. No one can cooks like her! Akhilesh overhears her. Vansh calls it impossible. Eat all this.
