Pramad smirks and says, “That means you don’t love me—otherwise, you would have died after finding out about me and Kalika.” Kumud, unfazed, says she has answered his questions. Pramad laughs and drinks more wine.
Kusum, determined, tells Saras, “I came here to understand Kumud’s troubles, and now that I know, I will end them soon.” Saras asks her not to say anything, but she leaves.
Kalika notices Kumud with a wine bottle and grows jealous, thinking that she was once the queen of Pramad’s heart, but Kumud’s presence has changed things. When Kumud throws the wine away, Kalika confronts her and brings up Naveenchandra. She then slyly remarks that Kusum has been in Saras’ room for a long time, insinuating something inappropriate. Kumud, furious, warns Kalika, “You haven’t seen my anger yet. If I expose you and Pramad, you’ll be kicked out of this house.”
Kalika, unfazed, retorts, “What will you say? That Pramad came to me when he was sad? I was always there for him.” She smirks and adds, “Don’t blame me again, or I’ll tell Pramad everything.” Kumud is shocked by her audacity. Kalika boasts, “I’ve been with Pramad for 13 years. He won’t leave me, and I won’t leave him.” Kusum, overhearing this, is stunned.
Kusum later confronts Kumud about Kalika’s words. She’s frustrated by Kumud’s tolerance, saying, “Pramad drinks daily, Saras is in this house, and a mere maid insults you. How can you bear this?”
Kalika, meanwhile, tries to manipulate Pramad, claiming she found a kamarbandh in Naveen’s room and suspecting Kumud’s involvement. Pramad dismisses her, saying Kusum must have left it there. But Kalika continues sowing doubts.
The next morning, Kumud gives aarti to everyone. Pramad’s mother reminds her that Krishna’s birthday is coming up, which also happens to be Pramad’s birthday. Budhidhan blesses Kumud but later expresses disappointment in Pramad’s behavior.
Kusum sneaks into Saras’ room, searching for something. Murakh Das catches her and asks whom she’s looking for. She hesitates before saying, “Naveenchandra.” Murakh Das corrects her, “You mean Saras? He’s at the dining table.” Realizing her slip, Kusum quickly makes an excuse.
At breakfast, Pramad’s mother praises Kumud for her good nature, while Budhidhan takes a dig at Pramad’s drinking habits. When Saras says he will take the bus to the city, Pramad unexpectedly offers him a ride. Budhidhan, skeptical, questions Pramad’s sudden plans, hinting that he’s just going to get more wine. Pramad, offended, storms off, followed by Saras. Before leaving, Kumud gives a tiffin to Pramad, but he scoffs, “Give it to Naveen. After all, servants carry tiffins.” Kumud hands the food to Saras instead, and they share a moment.
Later, Kusum calls Badimaa and nearly tells her about Saras but stops at the last moment. Kumud, listening nearby, breathes a sigh of relief. Kusum then tells Badimaa about Pramad’s daily drinking, explaining that the family is worried. Vidyachatur considers bringing Kumud home, but Badimaa believes Kumud should stay and try to change Pramad.
On the way to the city, Pramad talks about love and relationships. He asks Saras if he has ever loved someone. Saras replies that he did but broke both his heart and hers. Curious, Pramad asks him to stop the car, saying they should refresh themselves at a roadside dhaba. Saras reminds him that Kumud packed food, but Pramad insists, wanting to drink instead.
Back home, Pramad’s mother and Kumud prepare for Lord Krishna’s birthday. She instructs Kumud to serve Makhan to Pramad. Kumud agrees but hopes Pramad won’t drink that day.
At the dhaba, Pramad gets drunk and starts questioning Saras about Saraswatichandra. Saras is shocked when Pramad asks him to find information about Kumud’s former fiancé. Saras tries to steer the conversation away, but Pramad is insistent.
Later, Pramad’s mother tells Kumud how Pramad became addicted to alcohol and mentions Kalika’s influence. Kumud reassures her, “I won’t complain about Pramad. I promise to fix this.”
As they return home, Pramad continues questioning Saras, trying to dig up details about Kumud and Saraswatichandra. Saras refuses to engage, but Pramad grows aggressive. He suddenly orders Saras to stop the car and, when Saras refuses, punches him in the face. Blood trickles from Saras’ mouth, but he controls his anger, remembering Kumud’s oath.
Kalika sneaks into Saras’ room, determined to uncover his secret. She rummages through his belongings and finds something.
