Olympia takes him to a tent where she kept Barsine captive. Barsine confronts him and says that if she’d had more time, she would have killed Alexander. She says he considers himself a god, but he had to trick and capture her and force her to support him with her army to fight against Puru—what kind of weak god is that?
She continues confronting him. He tells her to relax, saying she must be tired and should rest. He says he doesn’t want his queen to strain herself. He orders Olympia to have the maids give Barsine a rose and perfume bath and make her wear her previous royal clothes and jewelry.
Puru spends quality time with Laachi and says he now has to go check on his battalion arrangements. She pretends to fall ill. Puru gets worried. She laughs and says a father should have more capabilities than a king. Unfortunately, he is still a king and not yet a father.
Ambhi enters with his mother. Laachi asks Ambhi to teach Puru about a father’s duties. Ambhi’s mother says Ambhi is not a father yet. Puru says she is a mother though and gave good moral values to Ambhi, so she should take care of Laachi like a mother until he returns.
Ambhi’s mother recalls Ambhi warning her that she is his mother and must abort Laachi’s baby for his sake.
Alexander searches for Roxanne and doesn’t find her. Roxanne stands in a queue like a common citizen trying to get out of Takshashila to meet Puru. Hephastian informs Alexander that Roxanne was going somewhere and said it was for both Alexander’s and her sake.
Alexander walks to the city’s main gate and moves toward Roxanne, who is hidden under a shawl. Just then, Olympia enters and says Roxanne has gone somewhere near Bactria to pray for him because she loves him immensely.
Barsine is given a milk and perfume bath as per Alexander’s orders and is dressed in royal clothes and jewelry. Her sister gives her poison and asks her to consume it before Alexander kills her. Barsine says she wants to see what Alexander is up to first.
Puru inspects his army arrangements and training. He instructs his general and says he will train the army himself. Ambhi, standing behind him, thinks Puru should also keep an eye on the enemy at his back instead of focusing only on the enemy in front.
In the palace, Laachi tells Ambhi’s mother, Alka, that she lost both mothers who could have taught her what to do during pregnancy. But she’s happy that Alka is with her and asks what precautions to take. Alka says Laachi should be very careful during the first few months and should eat healthy food.
Laachi asks what she should eat. Alka remembers showing a herb to Ambhi, saying Olympia had shown it to her. The herb is known to maintain youth, but if a pregnant woman consumes it, it causes abortion. Ambhi said it looked like pudina (mint).
Out of the flashback, Alka shows the herb to Laachi and says it’s very good for her baby.
