Marriage For Duty On ZeeWorld Thursday 8th January 2026 Update, Raghav asks Reet to tell him the truth he is hiding. He tries to leave, but Reet stops him and shows a burnt photo of his mother, Raghav, and Unnati together. Reet asks him what the photo means.

Unnati tells Anuradha and Suman that she doesn’t have her mother anymore and leaves crying. Dhruv asks Anuradha what happened, but she says they don’t know. Dhruv goes after Unnati.
Raghav admits to Reet that Neeta is his mother. Reet questions how he could hide such a big truth. Raghav comments in his heart, and Reet tells him that despite his hate, he can’t see that he saved his mother’s life. Raghav says he doesn’t want Neeta to die until all the feelings for her in his heart die.
Reet asks how he can hate his mother so much. Raghav says Neeta is selfish for leaving him and Unnati as kids, thinking of them as a burden. He says she married Mr. Chawla, a rich man, and opened an NGO but never thought of meeting them. He reminds Reet that Neeta came to their wedding but didn’t meet him and, in the Chowdary house, only acknowledged Unnati’s child as Dhruv’s. Raghav says his mother hurt them too much to reunite.
Unnati calls Sharda, crying about Neeta, but Dhruv takes the phone, saying he’ll call later, and cuts the call. Sharda thinks Unnati wants to say Neeta is dead and goes to share the “good news” with Viren.
Reet comforts Raghav at the temple. Unnati tells Dhruv that her mother is Neeta Chawla and she could have given bone marrow but cannot because she is pregnant.
Sharda drinks alcohol to celebrate Neeta’s “death” and uses mouth freshener when she hears Reet and Raghav arriving. Raghav goes to his room, while Reet lights a Diya.
Dhruv informs Unnati that Neeta is fine and Raghav saved her life. They realize he donated his bone marrow.
Reet prays to Maata Rani for guidance to find answers. Sharda notices Reet looks tense and questions her. Reet asks why Sharda never told her Neeta is Raghav’s mother. Sharda says Neeta abandoned her children. Reet insists she wants to bridge the gap between Neeta and Raghav. Sharda doubts it’s possible, but Reet says there is hope now that Neeta survived. Sharda is shocked. Reet is determined to reunite mother and son; Sharda argues it’s impossible. Reet confidently accepts the challenge.
Later, Reet wakes Raghav, offering tea, a walk, and music, but he refuses everything. She notices he is not okay and decides to seek advice from her mother.
Dhruv informs the family that Neeta is the mother of Unnati and Raghav, shocking everyone. Reet calls her mother, who advises her to tell Neeta how Raghav saved her. Unnati arrives, and Reet informs everyone.
Unnati thanks Raghav for saving Neeta, hoping she will accept them, but Raghav remains skeptical. Prathap supports Unnati. Sharda overhears and rushes to inform Viren.
Reet urges Raghav and Unnati to visit Neeta at the hospital, but Raghav refuses. Reet asks if he forgot Neeta is his mother. Raghav shouts that he doesn’t want to talk about it. Unnati asks him to calm down.
Sharda tells Viren that if Neeta accepts them, it will expose her past attempt to kill Neeta. Viren tells her to stop scaring her.
Reet asks Raghav if he considered what Unnati wants. Raghav comments silently. He later asks Unnati if she wants to meet Neeta, and she says yes. Raghav takes her to the hospital. Reet thinks today Raghav and Unnati will reconnect with Neeta.
Sharda sees them leaving and thinks she will fight even against God to prevent Raghav and Neeta from reuniting.
At the hospital, Raghav tells Reet that Neeta must take a step toward them, and Reet agrees to tell her the truth.
Reet informs Neeta that her son has come to meet her. Neeta hugs Raghav. Sharda witnesses it and thinks a mother and son reunited. Neeta expresses how much she missed him but realizes it is Raghav, not Rohit. She questions Reet, who explains it’s Raghav. Neeta insists she has only one son, Rohit. Unnati gets hurt and leaves; Raghav goes after her. Reet tries to clarify, but Sharda stops her, sending Neeta away with a fabricated reason. The nurse signals Sharda, who takes Reet away.
Sharda criticizes Reet for hurting Raghav, claiming she wanted to protect him. She says Neeta denied the existence of Raghav and Unnati as her children. Reet says she only wanted Raghav to have his mother’s love. Sharda accuses Reet of doing it to win Raghav’s heart. Reet denies this and promises Sharda she will not meet Neeta again. Sharda leaves.
Neeta asks the nurse when Rohit will come. The nurse says Rohit gave the bone marrow and left for urgent work. It’s shown Sharda gave the nurse a diamond ring to help her. The nurse tells Neeta that Rohit is her donor.
Prathap asks Raghav about the hospital. Sharda says Neeta denied that Raghav and Unnati are her children. Raghav says Reet isn’t at fault; the blood in his veins is. He attempts to slice his wrist, but Sharda, Reet, and Prathap stop him.
Reet bandages Raghav’s wound. He resists at first, but she pushes him onto the bed and bandages it, telling him he cannot give up life for one relationship. Raghav says he never knew Neeta had a second son and that he sacrificed his anger to save her, yet she only thinks of Rohit. Reet comments that Neeta’s actions were wrong.
Reet receives a call from Rohit but cuts it, declaring she will break all ties with Neeta from now on.
Dhruv gives Unnati flowers to cheer her and talks about a babymoon trip, which she agrees to.
Viren gifts Sharda a diamond necklace for her successful plan. Sharda says once Reet discovers Neeta has forgotten her past, she will try to reunite Raghav and Neeta. Viren says they must plan to remove Reet. Sharda asks about the divorce papers; Viren confirms he has hidden them all and Raghav and Reet will be legally divorced soon. Sharda decides to keep Reet under control.
Reet and Prathap plan to cheer Raghav. The next day, Reet asks him not to go to the office, but he refuses. She asks Prathap to delay him.
Smita notices Dhruv’s flowers for Unnati and decides, with Suman, to keep an eye on her.
Dr. Arushi comes for Unnati’s checkup. Suman questions her, but Anuradha asks her to stop. Unnati takes Dr. Arushi to her room. The doctor worries about her delivery, and Unnati says she will claim her newborn as hers. Dr. Arushi mentions a 19-year-old girl who can help for money. Unnati agrees and takes the address. Smita spies through the ventilation to see the paper slip. Suman and Smita plan to investigate later.
Sharda talks to Raghav, who complains about missing things. Reet dances for him to cheer him up. Prathap joins. Reet tries to give him a cake, trips, and accidentally throws it on his face. Raghav laughs seeing himself in the mirror and enjoys the cake. Reet cleans up. Viren comments on her efforts to win Raghav’s heart. Reet warns him to stay in line. Viren decides to teach her a lesson.
Sharda, angry at Reet and Raghav’s growing closeness, breaks a family photo and cuts her finger, swearing to destroy their marriage. She tears Reet’s photo from the family picture.
Raghav comes out of the bathroom. Reet gives him a suit. He questions the change; she explains the cake incident. Some cake is on his shirt, which she eats. They feel awkward and turn away. He removes his shirt; she admires him in the mirror. He covers himself, and she leaves for the bathroom. Raghav says the water isn’t coming due to the plumber, and Reet goes to check.
