Harry took Jia’s son to Lucy’s friend, Carol. Lucy had arranged for Carol to get the child and give it to a former employee of hers. Carol asked the woman to take the child to a hospital and say that he is her grandson. After the baby got better, she was to take him to the province and raise him there.

After Dana returned to work at Dragon Empire Builders, David decided to open his own architecture firm. Dana thought it was not necessary since he could simply work for their company but David made it clear that he did not want to work for her father. Dana asked if something had happened between them but David said he wanted to be independent.
After the baby got well, the woman taking care of him was worried because she did not know who the child belonged to. She feared that the police were looking for the child and she could be arrested for kidnapping. She therefore decided to return the baby to Lucy.
When Dana and Adam got home, they found a baby outside their house. No one knew who left him because there was no CCTV. Adam and Dana instantly took a liking to him and they decided to adopt him. Adam named him “Michael Wong Chao”. David and Dana became his parents.
Dana brought Michael to work and Jia’s friends saw him. Summer showed Jia a photo of him and she suddenly felt sad because she had just lost her son.
Meanwhile, Jia suffered after the loss of her child. Kai tried to help her get over her grief and eventually succeeded after a few months. She decided to work with Richie and Harry gave her the money she needed to partner and invest in Richie’s for their business. They set up their business in Cebu and Jia became a part owner.
Lucy got a text from her former employee to let her know that they were the ones who left the child at her house. She therefore realized that the child they adopted was Jia’s son.
She was conflicted on what to do because she could neither return him to Jia nor take him away from Dana, who had grown to adore him.
