Episode begins with Menandro telling his wife, Madeleine to excuse Matteo because he just lost a big business deal, Matteo leaves. Menandro looks on.
In a different scene, we see Lucas punching his punching bag, he recalls Alba’s hurtful words and continues to punch harder, he tells himself “Forget about it Lucas don’t let her words get to you”
Carolyn comes there, She asks Lucas about Joaquin and he replies Jealously, She then tells him to inform Joaquin that she is done fixing Isagani’s car, Lucas says okay.
Carolyn is about to leave but Lucas stops her and asks her to keep him company for a while, she notices Lucas is moody and asks about it but Lucas replies he is fine.
At Connor’s house he opens a secret door where he keeps his stolen items, he then tells his father Fausto to admit that her ( Connor) is better than him.
Fausto agrees but takes the credit for raising him to be a good thief.
They both talk about their work and how successful they have become, Fausto then tells Connor that his mother ( Pilar) texted him that she had an accident and ends up in the hospital, and she needs help.
Connor walks out angrily, Fausto follows him.
Connor tells him that his mother can’t fool him, he then recalls his childhood where Pilar (his mother) blames him for her boyfriend breaking up with Her, Pilar goes to sell him, little Connor runs away and hugs another man ( Fausto) asking him to help him, Fausto shouts at the buyer and took Connor with him. Flashback ends.
Fausto tells Connor that if his mother is pretending to be sick it means she is desperately indeed of money. Connor walks away.
At the Cardinal mansion, Roman is having a conversation with Joaquin and Isagani, he praises Isagani’s Cocoa Brandy and they both share their inspirations, Roman asks Isagani to allow him to launch his Formula. Isagani is overwhelmed, Joaquin is shocked.
Roman then tells Isagani that he will get the paper works done, but Isagani asks him to give him some time to think about it.
Roman agrees and tells him to think about it carefully because he believes with his knowledge and Joaquin’s intelligence they will be a good team. Isagani smiles, Joaquin fakes some smiles too.
A servant comes and informs them that Isagani’s car has been repaired, Isagani thanks Roman and gets up to leave, Joaquin offers to see him off.
Outside Isagani Thanks Joaquin for helping him, he turns to leave but Joaquin calls him and asks him if he is willing to accept his father’s offer. Isagani asks him if there will be a problem if he does.
Joaquin starts his lectures about Standards in business bla bla bla. Isagani looks on.
In a different scene, Connor is on his way out, he tells Fausto that he has pushed the money into Pilar’s account, Fausto asks him if he is fine, Connor says he is going on a mission, Fausto warns him to be careful since they are new in the area. Connor response okay.
Back to Joaquin and Isagani.
Isagani tells him that even though he runs a small backyard business, he believes in his workers capabilities and he won’t allow anybody to intimidate them.
Joaquin tells him that if he agrees to work with the Cardinals he ( Joaquin) will make the rules because he will be his ( Isagani’s ) boss. And he has to follow his orders without questions.
Isagani replies that, “With all due respect sir, you maybe the boss of Cardinal Distillery but you are the one interested in my products, so that only means we are the boss of you”
Joaquin looks on shocked, Isagani turns to leave but Joaquin calls him and tells him not to test his patience.
In a different scene, Matteo comes to a gambling den to gamble, Connor is already there.
A waiter bumps into Matteo and apologises. Matteo in his loud voice say “sorry, is that all you have to say, do you know who i am, this is inexcusable, do you know what. You are incompetence, now get out of my face”
Connor looks at him from behind and says “Bingo”
Matteo is on the gambling table, he wins and brags about being the king Bla bla bla.
Connor looks at him from behind and says to himself “looks like my target is ready” he smirks.
Scene shifts to Cardinal Distillery, Joaquin comes to work moodily, his secretary Diane (who happens to have feelings for him) cheers him up and tells him to forget Isagani because he is no match for him. She then tells him he is leaving for a dinner date, Joaquin thanks her.
Matteo wins the game and teases others for loosing, he shouts if there is anyone ready to compete with him.
“i do” Connor says, Matteo looks at him.
Connor introduces himself as Ulisis pereyar (I’m sure that’s not how to spell the name )
He extends his hands to great Matteo and asks his name.
Matteo looks at him and laughs, he says “Bon, James Bon”.
Connor says “So Mr Bon how much are we talking about here, are you okay with 1 million.”
Matteo smiles and asks him to quit talking and take a seat, they sits down and stare at each other evilly.
At the Esperanza’s, Bert (Isagani’s other father) tells Isagani that he is happy he didn’t agree to Roman’s offer at a go, because he needs to think about it carefully, they trust Roman but they can’t trust the people around him especially Joaquin, Isagani assures him that he don’t care about Joaquin.
At the Cardinal Mansion, Joaquin comes home, Alba tells him that she has been waiting for him, they both talk about Isagani, and Alba tells him to get rid of Isagani as soon as possible. Joaquin tells her not to worry because Isagani is like a fly who is buzzing around the Cardinals.
Back to the Esperanza’s, Isay ( Isagani’s childhood female friend, who happens to love him) pays them a Visit, Isagani ruin his shirt when he tries to hug her, he takes off his shirt and Isay turns into a stone admiring his body.
Isagani goes inside to change and they sits down to eat and talks about about lots of different stuffs.
Joaquin and Alba’s conversations continues, Alba tells him to get rid of Isagani for good, he assures her to get rid of Isagani within a week.
In a different scene, Roman is in his house office, he take a sip of the coco Brandy, he recalls his youthful age, his willingness to grow his business and his time with Soledad. He goes upstairs, Alba wastes him from behind.
Roman comes to his secret room decorated with Soledad and Roman Jnr ( Isagani’s) childhood pictures, he caresses Soledad pictures and thinks “you are the reason why i started dreaming Soledad, you are my partner in everything, as long as Cardinal Distillery exists, i will continue to dream with you my love, you will forever remain here in my heart Soledad”
Alba comes there and cries asking Roman why hasn’t he forgotten Soledad after all these years, and why isn’t he giving her some attention. She continue by asking him to tell her how to compete with the dead.
“You can’t” Roman replies.
Alba sobs and leaves the room, Roman emotionally looks on.
At the gambling den, Matteo and Connor’s game starts, a lady ( Lupita) watch in the crowd, They both bid all their money, Matteo Brags that he oy did that because he is giving Connor the chance to blackout, he counts to three, “1….2….3” but Connor didn’t reply which means he is ready for the game, Matteo gets up and brings out his card and says “i got 4 of a kind” he laughs, everyone claps for him, he is about to grab the money but Connor shouts “Wait a minute, you shouldn’t be celebrating just yet” Matteo Looks on, Connor brings out his card and says “straight flash, i win” everyone is shocked and they clap for him.
The lady ( Lupita) looks at Connor suspiciously, (in fact guys Connor cheated)
Matteo gets angry when Connor threw one of the Monies at him (the thing is not money but that’s how they call it) they both looks at each other wickedly.
At the Cardinal mansion, Roman recalls his happy days with Soledad.
On the other side Alba says to herself “i once took someone’s life for the greatness of my love for you Roman, but i won’t allow anyone to take away what rightfully belongs to my son Joaquin”
Roman comes to the secret room again and says “please forgive me Soledad, i have committed a lot of mistakes after you died, (a flashback of Roman times with Alba, Medelein, Pilar and Sita is shown) i tried to love again but end up hurting a lot of people, if only i could turn back time, if only i could save your life and that of Roman Jnr, and then again that means i wouldn’t have had Joaquin and Lucas ( a flash back of Lucas and Joaquin childhood is shown) and also my child with Pilar whom i never got the chance to meet, (a flashback of Pilar telling Roman to leave her life for good and other flash memories are shown) it breaks my heart that i couldn’t give Joaquin the perfect family and also not able to claim that Lucas is my child and not meeting my son with Pilar, but i am still hoping that 1 day i can make everything right”
Scene shifts to Lucas’s house, Sita says it seems Roman is serious with striking a deal with Isagani, Lucas says he know because they even meet at the mansion, She then asks about Carolyn because she cooked so many food and they should give her some, Lucas agrees whiles setting up the table for dinner, Don Roman comes there and apologises for what Alba did earlier (in last Friday’s episode), they asks him not to worry and asks him to have dinner with them and he says “they say we shouldn’t say no to food”
In a different scene, Roman walks Isay home, they talk here and there, Isay asks him about his offer with the Cardinals.
At a fighting club, Joaquin is fighting some guy, the guy beats him, he then recalls about Roman praising Isagani and Alba telling him to get rid of Isagani, he charged and beats up the guy, the couch declares Joaquin the winner, he shouts who is the winner. and we ends the episode with the crowd shouting Cardinal, Cardinal, Cardinal.
