Karishma and Aanchal remain busy with the household work, but Aanchal cannot stop thinking about Neelam. She tells Karishma that she misses her sister all the time and still cannot believe she has lost her so suddenly. Aanchal explains that Neelam meant everything to her, and Karishma tries to comfort her. Karishma also admits that she is struggling to manage everything properly.

Rano arrives and gets into an argument with Aanchal. Aanchal asks her not to question her, warning that she will scold her whenever necessary. Karishma intervenes and questions Rano’s authority to threaten Aanchal. She begins scolding Rano, who initially bears the insults before finally speaking up for herself. Aanchal provokes Rano further, and Rano shoves her away. Karishma continues to belittle Rano and orders her to leave. Shalu arrives just in time and protects Rano from being manhandled.
Shalu angrily questions Karishma’s audacity to push Rano, but Ayush arrives and asks Shalu why she is speaking so rudely to his mother. He warns her not to misbehave with Karishma. Shalu asks whether he saw how Karishma insulted Rano, but Ayush questions whether Shalu has even asked Rano about her own behaviour. Shalu explains that Rano is hurt because the Oberois refuse to trust Lakshmi. Their argument intensifies, and Rano joins in to confront Ayush for making promises to Shalu when he is unwilling to stand by her.
Rano reprimands Ayush for his behaviour, and Shalu breaks down in tears as Rano demands an explanation from him. Rano grows angrier, but Shalu tries to calm her down. Rano says she never expected Ayush to treat Shalu this way and reminds him that Shalu saved him from the evil Anushka. She adds that she once believed Ayush was more sensible than his elder brother, Rishi. Rano recalls how Ayush always defended Lakshmi and Shalu whenever his family insulted them, and she is disappointed to see him behaving just like the other Oberois.
Karishma accuses Rano of trying to trap Ayush and starts yelling at both Rano and Shalu. She orders Ayush to send them away immediately, and Ayush tells Shalu to leave. Shalu is shocked and asks what has happened to him and Karishma that they are treating her this way. Ayush asks her to imagine how she would react if a member of the Oberoi family killed someone in her family. He reminds her that he has lost Neelam and that his entire family is grieving because of Lakshmi. He asks Shalu to put herself in his position and understand his pain.
Rano refuses to let Ayush blame them for everything and continues defending Lakshmi. She acknowledges that Neelam was murdered but insists that neither Lakshmi nor Shalu is responsible for the crime. Aanchal points out that Lakshmi has confessed to the murder, but Rano argues that Lakshmi must have had a reason for doing so. She says Lakshmi is helpless, although she has not revealed the reason for her confession. When Karishma asks what that reason could be, Rano admits that she does not know. Aanchal dismisses her explanation as an act and accuses Lakshmi of hating Neelam and conspiring against her.
Rano tells Aanchal to stop and explains that she came to the Oberoi house to make Ayush understand the truth. She scolds him for proving her wrong, while Karishma orders Rano and Shalu to get out. Shalu tells Rano that they no longer have anyone in the Oberoi family to rely on. Aanchal and Karishma tell them to think whatever they want, and Karishma shows them the door. She then scolds a servant and orders him to prepare the food quickly.
Aanchal declares that the Oberois should have nothing more to do with Lakshmi and Shalu. She criticises Shalu for not apologising for her sister’s actions, while Karishma adds that Lakshmi, Rano and Shalu have never apologised to the Oberois. Aanchal says it is good that the relationship between the families has ended. Rano finally speaks up, saying she would have ended the alliance herself if she had wanted to. She scolds both Aanchal and Karishma, but Karishma continues insulting her, leaving Shalu feeling sorry for Rano.
Rano then reveals that she never wanted Lakshmi to marry into the Oberoi family. She explains that Neelam personally came to her house and begged her to agree to Lakshmi’s marriage. The argument becomes more bitter when Rano brings Neelam into the discussion, prompting Aanchal to warn her. Aanchal accuses Lakshmi of accepting the marriage because she wanted to marry a rich man and claims Rano agreed to the alliance for financial reasons. She reminds Rano of their past, leaving her in tears.
Aanchal further insults Lakshmi, claiming she married Rishi only because of her Kundali and would otherwise have had no status. Ayush returns just as Shalu prepares to answer Aanchal. Shalu tells him that the Oberois have no standards because they deceived Lakshmi to save Rishi from Markesh Dosh. Ayush tries to intervene, but Shalu warns him not to interfere because she might end up saying something hurtful to him. She does not want to say anything she will later regret, but Ayush asks her whether she is serious and urges her to speak the truth.
Ayush stands by his family, prompting Shalu to reveal what happened. She reminds him that he witnessed Neelam lying to Lakshmi and arranging her marriage to Rishi. She says the Oberois knew the truth but deliberately kept it from Lakshmi. Shalu also reminds Ayush that Lakshmi has saved Rishi’s life several times. She accuses Rishi of abandoning Lakshmi when she needs him the most, calling him a bad husband who has repeatedly failed to support his wife when her life was in danger.
Meanwhile, Rishi is at home and asks the manager to handle the work for the day, explaining that he will return to the office the following day. He is stunned when he sees Lakshmi in his house and struggles to believe that she is really there. He rushes towards her, asks her to wake up and assures her that he is with her.
Lakshmi opens her eyes and sees Rishi. Overcome with emotion, she embraces him as memories of their moments together come flooding back. Rishi initially responds to the emotional moment but then stops himself.
Meanwhile, Ayush asks Shalu to understand the pain his family is going through because they have lost Neelam forever. Shalu says she understands their sorrow because she also has a heart and sympathises with them over their loss. She apologises to the family but insists that they cannot punish Lakshmi when she believes her sister is innocent.
Shalu tells Ayush that she lost her parents when she was young and never expected him and Rishi to change so much. She says she no longer has any expectations from the Oberois because everything between them is over. Ayush tries to stop her, but Karishma questions why he is doing so and tells him to let Shalu leave. She says she no longer wants to see Rano or Shalu.
Rano agrees that she does not want to stay and continue arguing with them. Ayush remains silent as Karishma and Aanchal continue insulting Shalu. Rano asks them to watch their words, but Aanchal tells her to stop arguing and insults her in front of Ayush.
