Rishi tells the family that they should allow Ayush and Shalu to make their own decisions about their lives. However, Malishka argues that Rishi does not understand what is happening. Rishi insists that he is thinking clearly, but Malishka refuses to believe him. She asks him to rest and take a break, adding that the elders should be allowed to decide Ayush’s future. Just then, she notices Shalu arriving and asks her what has happened.
Shalu explains that she wanted to make Ayush understand her side of the story, but he refused to listen to her. She breaks down in tears, making Malishka happy. However, Shalu tells Malishka that she does not need to explain anything to her. She then reveals that she and Ayush argued like a married couple. Aanchal immediately warns Shalu not to call herself Ayush’s future wife again. Karishma also rebukes her, saying that everything has changed now. Shalu decides to leave, while Malishka complains that she has no manners or respect for elders. She openly expresses her dislike for Shalu, and Aanchal agrees that Shalu has no values.
Karishma and Aanchal continue insulting Lakshmi and Shalu. Malishka declares that Ayush and Shalu’s wedding will no longer happen, while the two women continue making hurtful comments about them. Rishi feels terrible listening to their words but remains silent. They also drag Rano into the discussion. Malishka notices Rishi’s sadness and smiles. Aanchal then accuses Lakshmi of staying with the Oberois only to enjoy their luxurious lifestyle. She claims that when Neelam opposed Lakshmi, Lakshmi killed her. Aanchal expresses her hatred for Lakshmi and Shalu and warns Karishma never to mention their names again. Unable to bear the situation, Rishi walks away.
Meanwhile, Anushka arrives at the Oberoi mansion to meet Malishka. She stays outside and calls her, but Shalu happens to come across her and tries to walk away quietly. Anushka stops her and insults her for being poor, warning her never to return to the Oberoi mansion. Shalu refuses to tolerate the insult and gives Anushka a strong reply, leading to an argument between them.
Anushka boasts that she will regain everything she has lost, but Shalu laughs at her confidence. Anushka tells her to stop talking nonsense and stay within her limits. Shalu fires back, warning Anushka to stay away from the Oberoi family. She explains that both she and Lakshmi love the Oberois and believes that the misunderstandings between them will soon come to an end. Anushka tells Shalu to open her eyes and face reality.
Anushka then declares that she will marry Ayush and that Rishi will support her. She insists that she will return to the Oberoi family. Shalu threatens to call Anushka’s husband, Neil, and tell him everything. However, Anushka says that Neil is no longer part of her life. She plans to tell Rishi and Ayush that Neil was blackmailing her, hoping to convince them to accept her as Ayush’s wife again.
Anushka then reveals a secret that leaves Shalu shaken. She says she will tell Rishi and Ayush about the deal between Neelam and Lakshmi. According to Anushka, Neelam had agreed that if Lakshmi left Rishi, Ayush and Shalu would be allowed to marry. Anushka tells Shalu to ask Lakshmi about the deal, reminding her that Lakshmi loves her so much that she was willing to leave Rishi for her sake. She taunts Shalu for believing that she and Lakshmi tell each other everything when they have been hiding such important matters.
Despite the revelation, Shalu insists that Ayush is still with her and that they will remain together forever.
Meanwhile, Ayush sits alone, thinking about Shalu and crying. Rishi approaches him and asks what is wrong. Ayush explains that he tried to make Shalu understand the situation but eventually told her that their relationship was over and that she should forget him. Rishi questions why he made such a decision. Ayush says that everything has changed and that their relationships are now filled with bitterness. He no longer wants to think about marrying Shalu.
Rishi becomes worried as Ayush explains that he sees no other option. He points out that Rishi has his reasons for standing against Lakshmi, and he has decided to stand by his brother instead of supporting Lakshmi this time. Ayush understands Rishi’s pain after losing Neelam and says that a mother is like God to her child. The brothers become emotional as they discuss their situation.
Ayush reminds Rishi that he testified against Lakshmi in court and explains that he, too, feels lost after losing his faith in her. He understands the pain Rishi is experiencing and tries to put himself in his brother’s position. Rishi opens up about his sorrow and admits that he regrets trusting Lakshmi.
