The inspector asks the Oberois if they suspect anyone, pointing out that family members are blaming one another. Malishka insists that Lakshmi is responsible for Neelam’s death, but Rano reminds everyone that planning someone’s murder is no joke. Kiran tells them that they cannot change the facts, while Aanchal says she can see how badly the family’s relationships have been damaged. Harleen asks everyone to stop arguing, but Karishma points out that although they appear to be a perfect family, they are not. She insists that someone has murdered Neelam, whether it is Malishka or Lakshmi.

Lakshmi goes to the CCTV room and checks the footage. She sees Paro pulling the chandelier rope, causing the chandelier to fall. Lakshmi breaks down in tears and worries that Paro might be arrested for the incident. She decides to take the blame to protect her daughter. Meanwhile, Karishma says that Neelam never treated her like a sister-in-law. Malishka and Kiran continue blaming Lakshmi, while Shalu defends her and scolds Malishka. Lakshmi arrives and confesses to killing Neelam, leaving the entire family shocked. Rishi cannot believe what he has heard.
Rishi asks Lakshmi what she is saying and why she would do such a thing. He questions whether she has lost her senses, explaining that he has already lost his mother and is devastated by her death. He asks why Lakshmi would play with his feelings like this. Shalu and Rano are equally shocked and demand to know why she is taking the blame for Neelam’s murder when she should be telling the truth and defending herself. Ayush reminds everyone that they know Lakshmi is not capable of committing such a crime, but Malishka points out that Lakshmi has already confessed.
Rishi insists that Lakshmi must be lying for a reason, but Malishka urges everyone to believe her confession. Shalu warns Malishka not to accuse Lakshmi, while Malishka tells Shalu to stop pressuring Lakshmi to change her statement. Aanchal asks Lakshmi directly if she killed Neelam and threatens to ensure that she is punished. Karishma also urges Lakshmi to think carefully before answering. Lakshmi confirms that she is responsible and apologises for their loss.
Rishi rebukes Lakshmi, telling her that he does not want to hear such words from her. He becomes emotional, cries and begs her to stop talking. Kiran points out that although Rishi does not want to accept it, Lakshmi has admitted to killing Neelam. Malishka repeats the accusation, while Shalu and Rano continue defending Lakshmi. Lakshmi then surrenders to the police. Harleen asks her not to blame herself and expresses her faith in her, pleading with Lakshmi to admit that her confession is a lie. However, Lakshmi only apologises.
Karishma stops the inspector from arresting Lakshmi because she wants to ask her a question first. She demands to know why Lakshmi killed Neelam, and Lakshmi claims that she did not want Neelam to remain in the family. Karishma then tells the inspector to arrest her. Rishi also asks the inspector to take his mother’s murderer away, and Lakshmi is arrested.
Karishma takes Lakshmi aside and demands to know whether she has lost her mind by accepting the blame when she knows that Malishka and Anushka are responsible. Lakshmi says she is helpless and has no choice but to confess, but she refuses to explain further when Shalu asks why. Shalu begs Ayush to stop Lakshmi from being taken away. Lakshmi looks at Rishi with sadness, while Harleen again urges her to tell the truth, insisting that she cannot have committed the crime.
Rishi stops Lakshmi and tells her not to speak to anyone in his family. He says that helping her will not bring his mother back and declares that he hates her. Kiran then praises the Oberois for supposedly forgiving Lakshmi despite knowing about her crime, claiming that they did not punish her and calling her a murderer. Ayush warns Kiran not to provoke Rishi, but Malishka tells him not to speak disrespectfully to her mother for the sake of a murderer. Ayush asks Malishka to control Kiran, but she supports her mother’s accusations. The inspector intervenes and warns Malishka to stop provoking the others, reminding everyone that they must not take the law into their own hands.
Lakshmi leaves with the police, thinking about the happy moments she shared with the Oberois. Shalu asks Ayush to stop her, but Karishma prevents him from supporting Lakshmi. Just then, Paro arrives and hugs Lakshmi as she stands looking at Rishi and crying. Lakshmi worries about Paro’s future and asks her to return to her room. Paro insists that Lakshmi should come with her, but Lakshmi promises that she will return soon and manages to convince her to leave.
Rishi stops Paro when she approaches him and begs him to bring Lakshmi back. Instead, he tells the inspector to take Lakshmi away because she has admitted to the crime. Lakshmi and Paro are left heartbroken as they are separated. Malishka stops Paro and frightens her by warning her about Rishi’s anger.
Malishka is pleased that her plan has worked and that Lakshmi is finally out of her life. Paro continues begging Rishi to bring her mother back, but he refuses to listen. Ayush comforts Paro before going to speak with Rishi. He asks Rishi why Lakshmi would take the blame if she were guilty and continues defending her innocence. Rishi orders Ayush to stop mentioning Lakshmi, but Ayush urges him to think logically.
Rishi insists that he has lost Neelam forever and believes Lakshmi has betrayed him. He says he no longer has any faith in her and breaks down while mourning his mother. He blames Lakshmi for Neelam’s death and accuses her of not even considering the children before committing the crime.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi arrives at the police station and is placed in a cell, where a female constable taunts her. Lakshmi breaks down in tears. Malishka stays with Paro, who continues missing her mother and insisting that she wants Lakshmi back.
Ayush tries to console Rishi and remains convinced that Lakshmi is innocent. Meanwhile, Malishka speaks to Paro, thinking that Rishi will be coming soon.
