Lakshmi tells Malishka that she will be grateful if she takes care of Paro. Malishka warns her not to say anything against her in front of anyone, and Lakshmi agrees. Malishka smirks before leaving the police station, where she meets Anushka and boasts about her victory. She explains that she visited Lakshmi and warned her not to go against her. Anushka urges Malishka to get rid of Lakshmi completely by stopping Ayush and Shalu’s wedding and breaking their relationship. Malishka promises to do so.
Shalu arrives and sees Malishka with Anushka. She suspects that Malishka has come to hurt Lakshmi further. When Anushka notices Shalu, she pretends to be concerned and tells Malishka not to maintain a relationship with Shalu because her sister has killed Neelam. Malishka joins in and speaks against Lakshmi, unaware that Shalu can hear them. Shalu decides there is no point arguing with them and walks away. Malishka then asks Anushka to meet her at the Oberoi mansion if she wants to discuss anything further because she does not want to risk being caught by Shalu. Anushka agrees and leaves.
Shalu asks the constable for permission to meet Lakshmi, but the constable refuses. Shalu begs for an opportunity to speak to her sister and insists that Lakshmi is innocent. The inspector informs her that Lakshmi’s court hearing will take place the following day and suggests that she meet her there. Shalu explains that she wants to speak to Lakshmi and find a way to prove her innocence. After hearing her request, the inspector finally allows her to meet Lakshmi.
Meanwhile, Rishi looks at Neelam’s photograph and cries as he remembers their moments together. At the police station, Shalu meets Lakshmi and breaks down in tears. Shalu tells her that she understands she must have a serious reason for taking the blame and assures her that she knows Lakshmi could never kill Neelam. Lakshmi urges her not to worry about her, but Shalu admits that she does not know how the situation will improve. She leaves in tears, trusting that Lakshmi will speak when the time is right.
Meanwhile, Malishka approaches Rishi and wipes away his tears before trying to turn him further against Lakshmi. She reminds him that they have known each other since their college days and claims that she understands him better than anyone else. Rishi regrets ever loving and trusting Lakshmi, believing that she has destroyed his entire family. He cries as he recalls how he trusted her, only for her to allegedly attempt to kill Malishka’s unborn child and murder Neelam. Ayush explains that he has already tried to reason with Rishi, but Rishi refuses to listen. He asks Shalu to understand the pain Rishi is experiencing after losing his mother. Ayush and Shalu become emotional as they try to understand each other’s suffering. Shalu fears that Lakshmi’s life will be ruined because nobody is standing by her, while Ayush struggles to find a way to help.
Rishi continues looking towards the door, hoping that Neelam will return. Harleen reminds him again that his mother is gone and embraces him as he cries. Rishi insists that he will never forgive Lakshmi for what she has done.
