The lawyer questions why Lakshmi is denying the crime now after confessing to it earlier. Lakshmi’s lawyer argues that she has now told the truth and that they should believe her because there is no evidence proving her guilt. He adds that anyone could have cut the chandelier rope and insists that Lakshmi is innocent, urging the court to find the real killer. Shalu is relieved when Lakshmi denies killing Neelam, but Rishi remains confused about why she has changed her statement.
The judge adjourns the hearing for half an hour. During the break, Anushka meets Malishka and asks for an update on the court proceedings. Malishka questions whether Anushka has lost her mind by coming there, but Anushka assures her that nobody has seen her. Malishka fears that Lakshmi might win the case, so Kiran suggests that they find a way to frame her. Malishka then reveals that she has a plan to break Lakshmi down. She knows someone who can testify against Lakshmi and destroy her chances of winning the case. When Kiran and Anushka ask who it is, Malishka reveals that she intends to make Rishi testify against Lakshmi. They wonder how she will convince him to do so.
Meanwhile, Rishi goes to see Lakshmi in custody and finds her handcuffed. Lakshmi asks the inspector for permission to meet Rishi, and he allows her to do so. Although Rishi initially does not want to speak to her, he decides to stay for the sake of their past relationship. He asks if she is okay and, despite his anger, admits that he does not like seeing her in handcuffs. Rishi tells Lakshmi that he once loved her, but now his heart is filled with anger. However, he also admits that he has come because of the love he once had for her.
Lakshmi says she knew he would come to see her and thanks him for supporting her. Rishi assures her that if she is innocent, he will always stand by her. He admits that he has said many hurtful things to her, but he can never truly hate her because he still loves her. Lakshmi becomes happy and remembers their beautiful moments together. She hopes their relationship can return to the way it was before and feels relieved that Rishi still trusts her. Rishi reminds her that she is the mother of his children and says he does not want her to face false accusations if she is innocent. Lakshmi cries with happiness, knowing that Rishi still believes in her, before he leaves.
After their conversation, Lakshmi feels confident that she can face any battle as long as Rishi stands by her. She also thinks about Paro, who is innocent and only made a mistake that led to Neelam’s death. Lakshmi hopes Paro will eventually be forgiven.
Elsewhere, Karishma asks the lawyer to make sure Lakshmi is punished for her alleged crime. However, the lawyer says Lakshmi does not seem like a criminal and suspects that she may be taking the blame to protect the real culprit. He asks Karishma to tell him the entire truth, but she claims she knows nothing. She only wants Lakshmi out of their lives, while Aanchal openly expresses her hatred for her.
Shalu overhears their conversation and is shocked by how much they hate Lakshmi despite all the love she has given them. When Ayush asks what is wrong, Shalu explains that Karishma and Aanchal want Lakshmi punished even if she is innocent. She begs them to support Lakshmi, explaining that her sister is protecting someone and that they should focus on finding the real culprit to get justice for Neelam. Ayush asks Shalu to stop pleading and assures her that Lakshmi will be fine.
Karishma warns Shalu that her relationship with Ayush will suffer because of her actions. However, Shalu says she does not care about any other relationship right now because her sister is her priority. She then leaves. Aanchal tells Ayush that Shalu does not value him, but Ayush understands the strong bond between Shalu and Lakshmi.
Rishi continues thinking about Lakshmi and Shalu’s words, leaving him confused. Malishka approaches him and tries to turn him against Lakshmi by showing him CCTV footage. She tells him that she feels uncomfortable going against Lakshmi and hurting her, but she wants justice for Neelam and is willing to go against anyone to achieve it. Malishka also explains that she loves and respects Neelam because Neelam always supported her.
She then reveals that she has seen CCTV footage that nobody else has watched and asks Rishi to see it for himself. When Rishi watches the footage, he sees Lakshmi walking towards the chandelier rope and becomes shaken by what he sees. He returns to the courtroom as the recess ends and the hearing resumes. Lakshmi looks at him hopefully when she sees him return.
The lawyers continue arguing about Lakshmi’s earlier confession and her latest denial. Malishka is called to the witness box, where she gives a statement against Lakshmi. She claims that Neelam disliked Lakshmi and even threw her out because Lakshmi was always fighting with her. Malishka also accuses Lakshmi of trying to harm her unborn baby. Shalu immediately calls Malishka a liar, while the lawyer insults Lakshmi. The judge warns the lawyer not to pass any verdict himself.
Malishka continues speaking against Lakshmi when the lawyer asks her to reveal more about her. Lakshmi’s lawyer questions whether Malishka likes Lakshmi and has a good relationship with her. Malishka says yes, but Shalu calls her statement a lie. Malishka then clarifies that Lakshmi is not her sister and that although she likes her, they are not close friends.
Lakshmi’s lawyer accuses Malishka of wanting to take Lakshmi’s place in Rishi’s life. Malishka tells him to stay within his limits, but he insists that she must tell the truth about her relationship with Rishi. He points out that she is speaking badly about Lakshmi and making accusations without a good reason.
Rishi then tells the judge that he wants to say something and steps into the witness box. As he looks at Lakshmi, he remembers their happiest moments together. Shalu hopes he will speak in Lakshmi’s favour. When the lawyer asks Rishi about Lakshmi’s character and behaviour, Rishi says he has never met anyone like her. He describes her as a special person who always puts her family first and is willing to sacrifice her life for the people she loves.
Lakshmi becomes emotional and cries as she listens to Rishi praise her, while Malishka grows worried. However, Rishi suddenly changes his statement, claiming that Lakshmi used to be a good person but has now become evil. Malishka smiles with relief, while Lakshmi and Shalu are shocked when he accuses Lakshmi of killing Neelam. Rishi claims that he saw the crime himself in the CCTV footage.
He further alleges that Lakshmi became insecure and tried to harm Malishka’s unborn baby, which was why the family threw her out. He says Neelam opposed Lakshmi, so Lakshmi decided to kill her. Shalu breaks down in tears and asks Rishi why he is lying, but he insists that he is telling the truth. He then submits the CCTV footage to the court and asks the judge to examine it. Lakshmi becomes frightened because she fears that Paro might also be seen in the footage.
The lawyer argues that CCTV footage cannot simply be trusted and asks the court to have the police verify its authenticity. The judge states that Lakshmi’s guilt has not yet been proven and orders the police to check whether the footage is genuine. She also rules that Lakshmi must remain in custody until the next hearing. Rishi and Lakshmi look at each other sadly, while Shalu tries to speak to her sister. Lakshmi is deeply hurt by Rishi’s testimony and keeps remembering his words as the police take her back to the cell.
Inside the cell, Lakshmi cries as she thinks about Paro and worries that her daughter needs her. She asks the inspector for permission to meet Paro and Rohan, but he scolds her and refuses her request. Lakshmi explains that she cannot wait until the next day to see her children and argues with him, but the inspector apologises, saying he cannot help her.
Meanwhile, Malishka and Rishi return home, and Malishka celebrates what she believes is a victory. Kiran advises her to hide her happiness and maintain a sad expression so that nobody suspects her. At the same time, Rano arrives at the police station with Shalu to meet Lakshmi, but the inspector refuses to let them see her.
The inspector explains that Lakshmi is a criminal in custody and that the police are responsible for keeping her there. He fears that allowing anyone to meet her could give her a chance to escape. He even suspects that Rano and Shalu might be planning to help Lakshmi escape. Although both women defend themselves, he orders them to leave. Shalu insists that she will meet her sister no matter what, but the inspector threatens to lock her up if she continues misbehaving.
Shalu then pushes a constable and challenges the inspector to arrest her. He orders that she be placed in the cell. Shalu assures Rano that she is fine, but Rano begs the inspector not to punish her. The inspector says Shalu will lose her attitude after spending a night in the cell.
Shalu is taken to Lakshmi, who is shocked to see her inside. She asks why Shalu has come into the cell, and Shalu explains that she deliberately misbehaved with the constable so she could meet her. The constable confirms that Shalu did it just to see her sister. Lakshmi becomes emotional as Shalu proves how much she loves her.
Shalu apologises to Lakshmi, who then asks how she appeared in the CCTV footage. Confused, Shalu asks what she means, but Lakshmi avoids mentioning Paro’s name. Shalu encourages her to explain what happened, but Lakshmi remains silent. Shalu says Rishi has hurt Lakshmi deeply and can see how much pain she is carrying. Lakshmi asks her not to question her and simply give her a hug. Shalu embraces her sister, offering her comfort.
Rano arrives and sees the sisters embracing. She feels touched by their bond and blesses them. Rano tells Shalu that she has spoken to the lawyer about getting her released on bail. She asks Shalu to stay with Lakshmi and support her for as long as she remains in custody. Shalu thanks Rano for helping them.
