Shalu arrives at the Oberoi house to meet Ayush and Rishi, explaining that she has come to tell them something important she recently discovered. Aanchal immediately tells her that nobody wants to speak to her and asks her to leave. Ayush also says he is busy and will talk to her later. However, Shalu insists that she needs to tell them something important because Lakshmi was murmuring in her sleep, and she believes it matters. Ayush refuses to listen and tells her to follow Aanchal’s instructions and go home. Rishi then explains that he and Ayush have to leave the city for a meeting, so Ayush will speak to her later.

Shalu asks Ayush about his trip, and he tells her that, considering everything happening around them, they need to postpone their marriage. Karishma interrupts and makes it clear that they are not postponing the wedding but calling it off permanently. Shalu breaks down in tears as she looks at Ayush, but he claims he has work to do and walks away. Malishka smiles as she watches Shalu suffer, while Karishma stops Shalu from following Ayush and orders her to go home. Shalu insists that she has the right to speak to Ayush, but Karishma scolds her. Rishi intervenes and asks Karishma to let Shalu speak to Ayush privately. Shalu thanks him before going to Ayush’s room.
When Shalu reaches Ayush, she tells him that she wants to talk, but he refuses to listen. He explains that he is leaving the country and that their marriage will not happen. Shalu is heartbroken and asks whether he really means what he is saying. Ayush confirms that she has understood him correctly. She demands to know the reason and tells him that he could say anything else to hurt her, but she never expected him to do this. Shalu confesses how deeply she loves him and asks how she is supposed to live without him. She accuses him of making promises he never intended to keep, leaving her emotionally shattered.
Ayush apologizes and explains that he never expected their situation to change so drastically. He also accuses Lakshmi of being responsible for Neelam’s death and points out that Shalu is Lakshmi’s sister. Shalu reminds him that she never wanted to marry him and become part of the Oberoi family because she had already seen her sister suffer there. She questions why he made her fall in love with him if he never intended to marry her. Ayush apologizes again, but Shalu tells him that she does not want his apology; she wants his love. Angry and heartbroken, she tells him that he has destroyed her heart.
Shalu also defends Lakshmi, insisting that her sister is innocent and that her circumstances have made her life difficult. However, Ayush refuses to discuss Lakshmi and continues to accuse her of killing Neelam. Unable to tolerate his accusations against her sister, Shalu decides to end her relationship with him. She removes her engagement ring and returns it to Ayush before walking away. Ayush is left in tears as he remembers Shalu’s words.
Meanwhile, Malishka tells Rishi that Shalu should not be allowed to visit the Oberoi house frequently because they have already decided not to take her relationship with Ayush any further. She insists that the family must restrict Shalu’s visits and reminds Rishi that Lakshmi killed Neelam. Malishka also claims that she has already shown Rishi the footage supporting her accusations. Karishma and Aanchal ask her about the footage, but Rishi tells them not to worry. Malishka argues that they cannot allow just anyone to enter their house and frightens them by suggesting that Shalu could also cause trouble.
Rishi stops them from jumping to conclusions, but Malishka continues speaking against Lakshmi and Shalu, provoking Karishma and Aanchal. Aanchal declares that she will never forgive Lakshmi and insists that Shalu should no longer be allowed into their house. She also says that Ayush should not marry Shalu, and Karishma agrees with her. However, Rishi asks them not to judge Shalu unfairly and says they should think carefully before making any decisions about Ayush and Shalu’s future.
Rishi reminds the family that they need time to cope with Neelam’s death and should wait until the court case is over before discussing the marriage again. Karishma remains against Ayush and Shalu getting married, but Rishi suggests that they can reconsider the matter after a year. He explains that Ayush and Shalu can decide what they want for their lives and that their future should ultimately be their decision. Karishma argues that they are one family and should have the right to decide Ayush’s future. Aanchal then reminds Rishi of Neelam’s words, insisting that Ayush and Shalu cannot make decisions about their marriage on their own when both families are involved.
