Meanwhile, Vishaka stops Neetu from going near Vikrant and tells her that Mannat is there to take care of him. She suggests that Mannat will separate Vikrant from Neetu and claims that she does not even need to do anything to take Vikrant away from her. Vishaka continues to turn Neetu against Mannat, blaming her bad luck for ruining the puja and questioning what might happen if it affects Vikrant’s life. At the same time, she praises Mannat for being a good daughter-in-law and pretends to support her.
Later, Mannat and Roni apply medicine to Vikrant’s burnt hand when they hear Neetu shouting. Vikrant wants to check on his mother, but Roni tells him that she is probably frightened after seeing his injury and will calm down once she learns that he is fine. Vikrant remains restless, so Mannat offers to check on Neetu and explain that he is alright. Mannat approaches Neetu and assures her that Vikrant is fine and there is nothing to worry about. However, Neetu calls Mannat unlucky and claims that the family has been facing bad omens since she entered their lives. She humiliates Mannat and questions why she came into her son’s life, adding that Aishwarya should never have left her alive on the seashore and should have strangled her instead.
Shruthi loses her temper when she hears Neetu insulting her daughter. She questions how Neetu dares to speak to Mannat that way and points out that Neetu is always calling her daughter unlucky. Shruthi says it is unfair and asks how Neetu would feel if someone spoke about her son in the same way. Enraged by Shruthi’s words, Neetu slaps her. Vishaka and Mallika are pleased to witness the incident. Vishaka then tells Vikrant that Neetu is arguing with Mannat and makes him believe that Mannat is so angry she might do something to Neetu. Vikrant immediately rushes out to check on them.
Meanwhile, Neetu accuses Mannat of trapping Vikrant with her love and claims that her mother must have taught her how to trap a rich man into marrying her. Mannat tries to free herself from Neetu’s grip, but when Neetu loses her balance, Vikrant catches his mother. Vishaka takes advantage of the situation and turns Vikrant against Mannat, accusing her of raising her hand against Neetu and pushing her. Vikrant confronts Mannat and demands to know how she dared to push his mother. Mannat denies doing so, but Vikrant accuses her of lying. She insists that she never lies, while Vikrant reminds her that she has just lied to him.
Gagan tries to explain the situation to Vikrant, but Vikrant accuses him of supporting Mannat simply because he considers her his daughter. He says Gagan does not need to justify her actions. Mannat becomes upset that Vikrant never believes her and always assumes his mother is right. She points out that, according to him, the entire world is lying and trying to frame his innocent mother. Their argument grows more intense, and Vikrant finally declares that he wants to end their relationship. Mallika and Vishaka are delighted to hear his decision.
Mannat reminds Vikrant that he has said these words to her before and insists that he must stand by his decision this time. Vikrant assures her that he will. Mannat explains that she has tried everything possible to support him, but he still does not have even the basic trust she needs from him. Gagan tries to convince her to reconsider, but Mannat says she wants love, not punishment. Since marrying Vikrant, she feels she has had to endure punishment every day. She declares that nothing is more important to her than her mother, while Vikrant continues to defend Neetu. Unable to take any more of the situation, Mannat walks away.
Dhairya later confronts Vishaka and tells her that she is wrong. He says he never wanted to ruin his brother’s happiness and questions how she can watch her own son suffer heartbreak as a mother. Dhairya makes it clear that this is not what he wanted, leaving Vishaka feeling that he is turning against her. Meanwhile, Shruthi advises Mannat to forget what happened and not end her relationship with Vikrant. However, Mannat is tired of the constant accusations and says she cannot keep proving herself when Vikrant does not even make an effort to trust her. Dhairya also offers his advice.
Later, Roni asks Shalini what exactly happened between everyone. Shalini explains the entire situation to him. Dhairya then says that Neetu should never have slapped Shruthi and insists that he must make a fair decision and give Mannat justice because she did nothing wrong.
