Unfortunate Love On ZeeWorld Monday 20th April 2026 Update, Lakshmi gently told Rohan and Parvati it was time to sleep. Parvati agreed right away. After chatting with them for a bit, Lakshmi switched off the lights and left the room. Once she was gone, Rohan and Parvati woke up excitedly. They felt their plan was moving in the right direction and reminded each other that they had to make sure Rishi and Lakshmi ended up together.

As Lakshmi headed to bed, she couldn’t stop thinking about Rishi. At the same time, Rishi lay on his bed, also lost in thoughts about her. He wished she was lying right beside him. Lakshmi, on the other hand, convinced herself that Rishi no longer needed her in his life now that he had married Malishka.
Later that night, Rishi went to the kitchen for some water. Lakshmi stopped him from taking the cold water from the fridge and instead gave him normal water. She asked him to drink it, but Rishi reminded her that he always preferred cold water. Lakshmi pointed out that he was already feeling cold and insisted he drink normal water instead. She warmed it to a lukewarm temperature and handed it to him. When Rishi refused, Lakshmi made him drink it anyway. They both exchanged a few playful comments. Rishi then tried to grab the cold water bottle from the fridge, but Lakshmi quickly took it from him and poured the entire contents into a plant pot. She went ahead and emptied every water bottle in the fridge the same way. While they were arguing, Rishi accidentally touched Lakshmi’s hand and felt an electric spark. He smiled to himself, thinking there was still something special between them. After their conversation, Lakshmi left the kitchen. Rishi stayed behind, quietly admitting to himself how much he liked it when Lakshmi ordered him around and showed she cared.
The next morning, Rohan and Parvati asked the chef to prepare malpuri exactly the way Lakshmi makes it. Rishi tried to scare them, but they didn’t get frightened at all and teased him back. Ayush joined in by scaring Rishi instead, then stood with Rohan and Parvati. Ayush later asked how Rishi had recovered from his cold so fast. Rohan and Parvati proudly said it was all thanks to Lakshmi. Lakshmi smiled and told everyone how she had caught Rishi trying to drink cold water at night. Ayush praised her for taking such good care of him.
Karishma walked into the kitchen and asked the chef what he was doing. He explained that Rohan and Parvati wanted malpuri made like Lakshmi’s version. Rohan and Parvati then requested Lakshmi to make it for them, and both Ayush and Rishi joined in with their own pleas. Lakshmi laughed and said there was no need for all the recommendations because she was already planning to make it when Parvati asked. She headed off to start cooking.
Karishma and Aanchal found Malishka still sleeping in bed. They quickly woke her up and warned her that Lakshmi was taking over the kitchen again. Malishka got worried, knowing Lakshmi had a way of winning everyone’s hearts. She soon came up with a clever but dangerous idea to get Lakshmi out of the house for good. Malishka explained to Karishma and Aanchal that she would hurt Lakshmi so badly that Lakshmi would be forced to take Parvati and leave. Once Lakshmi did that, she would be breaking court orders and could end up in jail, leaving Malishka and the family with custody of Parvati. Karishma and Aanchal loved the plan and praised her for thinking of it.
Lakshmi asked the chef to prepare karela juice for Rishi to boost his immunity. The chef agreed but told her she would have to give it to Rishi herself. Lakshmi said that was fine.
From upstairs, Neelam smiled while watching Paro and Rohan playing happily with Rishi, Ayush, and Dadi. Paro quietly asked Rishi if Neelam was really smiling, since she rarely did. Rishi confirmed that she was. Neelam then came down to join them. Dadi encouraged Neelam to smile more often for Paro’s sake, and Neelam agreed. When Rohan offered to get malpua, Paro said she wanted the one made by Lakshmi’s hands. The group decided to go and bring some.
Just then, a servant informed Neelam that Sandeep Mishra had arrived. Neelam asked Rishi and Ayush if all the arrangements were ready, and Ayush confirmed they were. Dadi asked who Sandeep Mishra was, and Ayush explained how he had helped them win the hotel land case. Neelam told Rishi and Ayush to welcome him properly.
Rishi and the family gave Sandeep Mishra a warm welcome. Sandeep suggested it would be great to open the hotel on Independence Day. Rishi and Neelam liked the idea, and Sandeep revealed it was actually Ayush’s suggestion. They praised Ayush for it. Sandeep added that if the Chief Minister agreed to hoist the flag at their hotel, they would get free publicity. He mentioned he had already contacted Ojas to speak with the CM. Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
The servant opened the door, and Ojas walked in. Sandeep asked if the CM had agreed to hoist the flag. Ojas said yes, but with one condition: Rishi’s wife needed to be part of the flag hoisting ceremony because this year’s theme was women empowerment. Rishi agreed. Paro came running in and offered to bring her. Neelam tried to clarify who Rishi’s wife was, but Ojas received a call and couldn’t hear her.
Malishka spotted Paro and remembered the minister was coming. She rushed to the hall. Paro asked Lakshmi to come meet the uncle who wanted to see the “ghar ki bahu.” Lakshmi turned off the stove and went with her. Ojas informed everyone that the CM had given an appointment for the next day at 11 AM. When Sandeep saw Malishka, he mistakenly thought she was Rishi’s PA. Neelam tried to correct him, but Paro brought Lakshmi in and proudly called her the ghar ki bahu. Sandeep praised Lakshmi, and Ojas said the CM was impressed with her and specifically wanted her to be present for the flag hoisting. Karishma asked how the CM even knew about Lakshmi. Ojas admitted he wasn’t sure but confirmed the CM had insisted on her presence. Sandeep thought it was a good opportunity.
Malishka got angry and stormed back to the kitchen. She looked at the gas cylinder and came up with her revenge plan. She pulled out the gas pipe, left the gas leaking, and thought to herself that the trap was now set for Lakshmi.
Lakshmi politely told Sandeep and Ojas that she was just an ordinary person and wasn’t sure she could hoist the flag. They encouraged her, saying the CM had chosen her precisely because she was ordinary and represented everyday people. Lakshmi said she would like to discuss it with her husband first. She and Rishi stepped aside to talk.
Lakshmi tried to explain her hesitation, but Rishi started teasing her and ignored her serious tone. Karishma complained to Aanchal that Lakshmi had taken Rishi aside just to say no to the flag hoisting even though she secretly wanted to do it. Aanchal asked what she meant, and Karishma explained that Lakshmi always said one thing but did another. She believed Lakshmi wanted Rishi to beg her so she could feel important, which was why she would pretend to refuse.
When they spoke privately, Lakshmi told Rishi she couldn’t hoist the flag because she was just an ordinary woman who took care of her baby. Rishi reminded her that their party’s slogan was “Maharashtra’s pride is Maharashtra’s daughter-in-law.” He said the people had seen those special qualities in her, which was why they chose her. He pleaded with her to agree. Lakshmi finally gave in and said yes.
Sandeep mentioned he had a slight headache and asked if he could have some tea. Lakshmi overheard and offered to prepare it right away. Rohan also said he wanted malpuri, and Lakshmi agreed before heading back to the kitchen.
Malishka sat in her room, still frustrated that Sandeep had mistaken her for Rishi’s manager. Karishma and Aanchal came in and asked if she had done what she planned in the kitchen. Malishka confirmed she had cut the gas pipe and hidden all the matches and lighters. She said once Lakshmi tried to light a match, she would get caught in the fire, get scared, and leave the house forever.
In the kitchen, Lakshmi searched for matches but couldn’t find any at first. She eventually found a matchbox and struck a stick to light it.
Malishka, Karishma, and Aanchal decided to watch from the kitchen window to see how scared Lakshmi would get. They saw Lakshmi light the match, and suddenly there was a loud blast. Lakshmi lost consciousness in the explosion. Rishi rushed into the kitchen and found her unconscious. He bravely carried her out of the fire. Malishka saw Rishi running into danger and worried for him, so she ran to help.
