She asks how it ended up with her. Malishka explains that when she went to the washroom she left her dupatta there and it must have been swapped. She says it is a good thing nothing happened to her and tells Sonal how she tried to burn Lakshmi but later realized her dupatta had been exchanged. Malishka says she does not know what to do now. Sonal suggests they need to swap Lakshmi’s dupatta with the gunpowder one and she has a plan for it. Malishka agrees and says it will work.
Later Malishka takes some juice and pretends to slip so she spills it on Lakshmi. She apologizes while Lakshmi goes to clean the stain. Parvati comments that someone’s evil eye might have fallen on Lakshmi’s dress because earlier Rakesh uncle dropped ketchup on it too and she helped clean it. Malishka hears this and understands how her dupatta was exchanged. Lakshmi enters the washroom and Sonal sneaks into the room behind her. Balwinder and Bablu see Lakshmi coming out of the washroom. Bablu worries about getting caught so he pulls Balwinder away and they leave. Lakshmi checks if she turned off the tap water. During this Sonal swaps Lakshmi’s dupatta with the gunpowder one and then hides. Lakshmi notices her dupatta is not wet and wonders how it dried so quickly while looking around. Rishi enters the room and talks to Lakshmi. Sonal uses this moment to slip out quietly. Rishi tells Lakshmi he was about to go to Harleen’s room but accidentally ended up here. He compliments her saying she looks really beautiful and Lakshmi then leaves. Rishi sees Lakshmi from afar and uses a mirror to reflect light on her to tease her. Lakshmi walks up to him and asks him not to do it because she is working then takes the mirror from him. Rishi says he wasn’t flirting earlier and that she is truly the most beautiful woman he knows. He places a black dot behind her ear before walking away. Lakshmi asks Rishi to step back as a flower pot is about to be burned and he thanks her.

He questions Neel asking who he is. When he sees Karishma Ayush and Anushka approaching he leaves. Balwinder watches Lakshmi leave and smiles. Bablu asks why he is smiling and Balwinder says Lakshmi is the reason for his smile. Bablu tells him to focus on the task they came for and Balwinder agrees. Balwinder later approaches Malishka and she asks why he is here. Balwinder says he knows about her plan because he overheard Master ji talking on the phone about gunpowder and a dupatta. Malishka denies it and asks if he thinks she would do that in front of everyone. Balwinder comments on her reaction. Neelam arrives and asks Balwinder what he is doing there. Balwinder says he came to wish everyone happy Diwali. Neelam gives him sweets and sends him away then warns Malishka to stay away from him. Malishka feels dizzy again and leaves. Kiran notices her running and follows. Kiran approaches Malishka and asks what happened. Malishka says she has been vomiting. Kiran asks if she ate anything unhealthy and Malishka replies no. Rano asks why he came and Bablu says Balwinder came to meet Malishka. Balwinder leaves after that. Anushka asks Neel what he is doing there and they argue. Neel reminds her that with his single signature her life will change so she needs to speak to him with respect. Anushka comments on him and reminds him she gave him Rs 25 lakhs and asks where that money is. Neel says he lost it all in gambling and Anushka comments on that too. Ayush comes to them and asks Neel if he has seen him somewhere. Neel replies he must have seen him at Anushka’s wedding. Anushka tells Ayush that Neel came to their wedding and introduces him as his Chacha ji since he is disguised as an old man. She takes Ayush away making up a reason. Ayush later comes to Karishma and tells her Anushka’s Chacha ji has arrived and they should meet him. Karishma agrees and leaves with Ayush and Anushka. Anushka introduces Neel as her Chachaji. Neel tells her he is feeling pain in his teeth and leaves. Anushka tells Karishma and Ayush this is why she never invites her relatives because they are always weird. Karishma comments that Neel looks very young for a Chachaji though his hair is very white. Ayush says it happens nowadays due to food. They leave and Anushka feels relieved she wasn’t caught. Anushka later tells Neel to leave and he says he will if she gives him a hug. She gives him one and Shalu sees Anushka hugging Neel. Shalu looks at her and wonders why she is standing in some corner. Anushka notices Neel behind a standee and argues with Shalu saying she should stop interfering with Ayush then leaves. Shalu runs into Rano and says there is a big misunderstanding. Rano asks what happened and Ayush approaches. Shalu explains that when she came for Karwa Chauth she told Anushka she observed a fast for Ayush. Rano comments on Shalu and Ayush after hearing this. She does not listen to their explanations and advises Ayush that if he wants to be with Shalu he needs to divorce Anushka and marry her nothing less. She leaves without hearing them.
Aanchal overhears Ayush and Shalu’s conversation and asks Ayush if Neelam knows about it. Ayush tells her it is all a misunderstanding. Aanchal says she has to go tell the truth to Neelam and Karishma and leaves. Shalu asks Ayush why he hasn’t told Anushka what she said to him. She explains that because of this Anushka is still misunderstanding her. Ayush teases her saying she is the one who told Anushka there is something between them and he likes it.
