Preeta asks the Luthras to wait outside the room because Karan needs to rest. She assures them that his wound is not deep and there is no need to worry. She explains that she has stopped the bleeding and will join them soon. Everyone leaves, and Preeta cleans Karan’s hand. Karan slowly opens his eyes, and Preeta scolds him for doing something like this. He soon falls asleep again.

Meanwhile, Kritika asks Dadi to drink some juice, but she refuses. Preeta comes over and also encourages Dadi to drink it. However, Nidhi asks Preeta not to force Dadi, saying that Preeta is nobody to them and should not interfere in their family matters. Kavya tells Nidhi not to speak that way, but Nidhi accuses her of turning against her because of Preeta. Mahesh reminds Nidhi that this is not the right time to discuss such matters. Nidhi questions when she will be allowed to speak.
Rakhi asks Nidhi to stop shouting in such a situation and reminds her that Karan should be her priority. Nidhi argues that Karan tried to commit suicide because of Rajveer. She adds that they are suffering because of strangers like Preeta and Rajveer. Rakhi tells her that Preeta is not a stranger and almost reveals that she is the Luthras’ daughter-in-law, but stops herself. She then asks Nidhi to control her anger.
Kareena also asks Rakhi to stop defending Preeta. She says that everyone used to praise Nidhi, but now they keep insulting her because of Preeta. She further accuses Preeta of destroying the peace in their house. Dadi reminds Kareena that Preeta is not responsible for all their fights. Nidhi then says that she would throw Preeta out of the house if she could. Dadi challenges her to try, reminding her that Preeta is her physiotherapist and has every right to come for her treatment.
Rakhi adds that Preeta is also Karan’s doctor and has always supported the family. Kavya points out that they did not witness what happened between Karan and Rajveer, so they cannot blame Rajveer without knowing the truth. Nidhi taunts her for defending him. Preeta asks Nidhi to stop arguing and explains that she cannot leave because she came there as a doctor. Nidhi tells her to stop pretending.
Just then, Karan comes downstairs and asks what is happening. Dadi tells him that Nidhi wants to throw Preeta out of the house, while Rakhi adds that Nidhi has also blamed Rajveer for his condition. Karan warns Nidhi not to say anything against Preeta or Rajveer. He threatens to leave the house if anyone speaks badly about them. Nidhi walks away, and Karan starts coughing. Preeta immediately reminds him that he needs to rest.
Later, Kareena tells Mahesh that she is disappointed. Mahesh says he is already broken inside and does not want to listen to another lecture. Meanwhile, Preeta questions Karan about how he could do something like this when he has a family. She tells him that he has no right to hurt the people who love him. Karan admits that he was wrong and apologises to her. Preeta asks him to rest.
Kavya tells Preeta that she always manages to make everything better. Kritika also apologises to Preeta on Nidhi’s behalf. Preeta says she did not feel bad because she considers them her family.
Elsewhere, Mahesh tells Rakhi that he is shattered by Karan’s decision. He admits that he does not know what happened between Karan and Rajveer, but believes Karan should never have taken such a step. Rakhi explains that Preeta managed the situation and says Karan made his decision in an emotional state. She believes he will not do something like that again and adds that Preeta is still there to support him.
Kareena questions why Rakhi is bringing Preeta into the conversation when Mahesh is talking about Karan. Rakhi asks her not to misunderstand her, but Kareena insists that Rakhi always supports Preeta and Rajveer. Rakhi agrees and says that, in her opinion, Preeta and Rajveer are the kundali bhagya of their house. Mahesh clarifies that they are not against Preeta but are only worried about the situation.
Nidhi later questions Preeta about why she is so concerned about the Luthra family. She reminds her that she came as a doctor and should leave after completing her treatment. Nidhi cannot understand why Preeta is taking care of Karan like a wife. She tells her to give the necessary instructions and leave.
Preeta refuses to leave, explaining that she has to take care of Dadi and Karan. She also wants to bring Shaurya out of jail. Nidhi taunts her, but Preeta says Shaurya is like her own son. Nidhi questions whether Preeta is a lawyer. Preeta replies that she will find a way to get Shaurya released. Nidhi then asks who she is to worry so much about their family.
Karan overhears their conversation and thinks that although Preeta has lost her memory, she still cares deeply about his family. He comes downstairs and tells Nidhi that she should be grateful that Preeta is looking after the Luthras.
Nidhi questions why Karan likes Rajveer so much. She asks whether he knows that Rajveer tried to destroy his business and has connections with Anshuman. Preeta steps in and says she will answer her. She insists that Rajveer is innocent and promises to take responsibility if he has done anything wrong.
Nidhi accuses Preeta of bringing problems into their family and calls her unlucky, reminding her that Rakhi and Kareena used to say the same thing. Preeta refuses to change her decision and says she has no time to argue. She walks away, and Karan scolds Nidhi.
Preeta remembers Anshuman telling her that Rajveer works for him. She also recalls Nidhi questioning Karan about Rajveer’s connection with Anshuman. Kavya approaches Preeta and apologises for Nidhi’s behaviour. Preeta tells her that she is sweet and that she did not feel bad because she understands Nidhi. She asks Kavya to handle Nidhi because Nidhi needs her support. Preeta again praises Kavya, who hugs her as the song “Maa Meri” plays in the background.
Meanwhile, Nidhi tells the Luthras that Karan cannot answer her questions. She argues that everyone believes Karan is always right, but he also makes mistakes. She tells Kareena that although she could not become a wife when she first came to the Luthra house, she became a mother. She sacrificed many things for the family, yet she feels that her relationship with them is falling apart because of Preeta. Nidhi asks why she should be blamed for saying that Preeta is responsible for their problems.
Karan questions Nidhi about what is troubling her and why she thinks this way. Kavya arrives, and Nidhi tells her that she is free to give importance to Preeta but must also accept that Preeta and Rajveer are causing problems for the family. She claims that Rajveer joined hands with Karan’s business rival to destroy his business and that Karan tried to commit suicide because of him. Rakhi disagrees and insists that Rajveer is not responsible for everything.
Karan tells Nidhi that he alone is responsible for his decision. Nidhi accuses him of defending Rajveer because he loves him more than Shaurya. Dadi tells Nidhi that she has misunderstood the situation, but Nidhi complains that Dadi always disrespects her. Kareena scolds Nidhi for speaking to Dadi that way. However, Nidhi declares that she will not listen to anyone whenever the discussion involves Rajveer and Preeta.
Rakhi decides to call Rajveer and ask him why Karan slit his hand. However, Rajveer does not answer. Nidhi claims that he is avoiding the call because he is guilty. She insists that she is right before walking away.
At the police station, Preeta visits Shaurya. She tells him that he believes he is behind bars because of Rajveer’s mistakes and apologises to him on Rajveer’s behalf. Shaurya thanks her for the apology but asks her to leave. Preeta becomes emotional and walks away in tears.
Meanwhile, Mahesh assures Rakhi that everything will be fine. Kavya asks him whether he thinks Rajveer is guilty, but Nidhi tells her to stop defending him. Rakhi insists that Rajveer is not a bad person and reminds Nidhi that he has saved Karan several times. She also says that Rajveer does not work for Anshuman. Nidhi challenges Rakhi to prove her claims. Rakhi replies that Rajveer will come and prove his innocence.
Elsewhere, Anshuman tells Shaurya that he only asked Karan for half of his property in exchange for Shaurya’s release. Shaurya pretends that Anshuman is beating him, and a constable takes Anshuman away.
Later, Rajveer tells Preeta that he had a fight with Karan. Preeta questions how he could work for Anshuman, and Rajveer apologises. She scolds him for his actions. They are both shocked when they notice Rakhi and Kavya standing there.
