Olivia is preparing breakfast for the family. Enzo asked her why she had done it and she said that she wanted them to remember how things were before she started working at the company. Matilda however asked her to tell Enzo the truth. Olivia told him that the court was going to make their decision and she didn’t want them to worry. Enzo wanted to go with her but she asked him to stay home and take care of Calvin.
When Enzo went to Calvin’s room, he heard him speaking by himself. Calvin was worried about Olivia because she was being accused of something she didn’t do. Enzo said that Olivia would be able to prove her innocence so he only had to take care of himself.
Anthony went to pick up Raquel at her house and she asked how his talk with Obet went but Anthony said they were not able to meet. He said he would wait for her outside as Joseph and Raquel asked Obet why he cancelled on Anthony. Obet simply said that he had to meet with his father which was more important than Anthony. He got mad when Joseph and Raquel told him that he should have met with Anthony or apologized for not being able to see him. Obet asked if they wanted him to beg on his knees then went back to his room.
After Joseph and Raquel left, Matias went to speak to Obet about the issue with Anthony. He asked Obet not to let his heart be filled with Anger and hoped that he didn’t feel as if the family was ganging up on him.
At the court, Olivia saw Anthony and Raquel holding hands. Anthony told her they could talk to Ernesto and ask him to withdraw the case but Olivia said she would hear the court’s ruling. She was found not guilty since there wasn’t sufficient evidence to show that she was the one who embezzled the company’s funds.
Ernesto was furious at Anthony for losing the case and said that Olivia was right when she said he was incompetent and a bad lawyer.
After Olivia won the case, she celebrated with her family and Calvin wanted to know if they could now leave for America. Olivia said that she needed to recover the stolen money first as well as take revenge against Anthony and Raquel for what they had done.
The police visited Justine at her house and asked her if it was true she was at a pageant on the night Colmenares was killed or she was at the park with Calvin. Justine said that Calvin was at the pageant with her but they lied about being at the park so that Olivia wouldn’t get mad. Romeo told her to make sure she was not lying to them because she could be charged with obstruction of justice.
Arthur looked for a job on a construction site but the boss didn’t want to hire him because he had been in jail for drugs. He begged the boss for a chance and promised that he hadn’t taken drugs in years. The boss therefore agreed to give him a chance and told him to work hard.
After the police left, Justine called Calvin and asked him to tell her the truth so that she would know whether she was doing the right thing by covering for him. Calvin said it was not possible to tell her so Justine asked that he stay away from her until the case was solved because her family was starting to get affected.
Emma and Hazel had a hard time taking care of their expenses since Dado was no longer there to support them. Hazel got a part time job and saved money at school by writing her notes instead of photocopying them. Joseph offered to help her with money but she refused. When she told him that she had to work a night shift, he said he would go with her because it wasn’t safe for her to be out by herself but Hazel said it wasn’t necessary.
When Obet was taking Sabina home after work, they got harassed by some neighbors who were after Sabina. Obet defended her but they made fun of the scar on his face so he got into a fight with them. Her landlady went out and stopped the boys from harassing them.
Obet was depressed since people kept talking about his scar. He told Sabina that he felt as if he didn’t have a place in the world but Sabina asked her not to say that. She told Obet that his place was beside her.
Joseph called Hazel that evening to see if she was home but she had covered another person’s shift. He was worried about her because it was late but Hazel said she needed the money and was close to the house.
Hazel went to see Joseph at basketball practice and his team members teased the two of them and their growing relationship. Hazel asked Joseph about Calvin since no one had seen him in school.
Ernesto, Anthony and Raquel held a meeting to discuss the next course of action after losing the case to Olivia. They had yet to recover the stolen funds. Olivia suddenly appeared at the meeting and said she would retake her position as the president of the company so that she could help them recover the stolen money.
