Saras and Kumud On Starlife Sunday 12th January 2024 update, Saras is seen looking at his mother’s photo, smiling. Kumud’s mother approaches him with sweets and says, “This isn’t for my son-in-law; it’s for my son, who has upheld my words.” She tells Saras how she noticed the happiness and trust on Kumud’s face, which he brought back into her life. She thanks him for restoring Kumud’s lost respect. Saras, in turn, thanks her for helping him realize that Kumud is his responsibility.

He then asks, “Can I call you Maa instead of Mausi Maa?” She agrees and requests him to always support Kumud. “Give her your love, and she will return it manifold,” she says. Saras promises to always stand by Kumud and assures her that he is committed to his role as her son. They share sweets, and Saras smiles warmly, looking dashing as ever.
Scene shifts to Kumud:
Kumud stares at the letter “S” on her hand, remembering how Saras wrote it and claimed, “You are mine, Kumud.” Lost in his loving words, she smiles at the thought of him wanting to spend his life with her.
Laxminandan enters the room, and Kumud immediately touches his feet. He stops her, saying daughters don’t need to touch feet, but she counters, “I’m about to become your bahu.” He invites her to sit and expresses his gratitude, explaining how she bridged the gap between him and Saras.
Laxminandan admits he never understood Saras’ fear of relationships until she made him see it. He praises her for being the perfect match for Saras, saying, “You will be a wonderful wife and bahu.” He then asks her to promise to shower Saras with love, helping him heal from the pain of his childhood. Kumud, with determination, promises to do so. She addresses him as “Papa,” and they both smile warmly.
Scene shifts to Ghuman:
Ghuman calls Danny, apologizing for not visiting but assures him that Saras will soon come to him. She adds cryptically that Saras still has one weakness, hinting at her manipulative nature.
Scene shifts back to Kumud:
Ghuman confronts Kumud, asking for Saras’ whereabouts. Kumud replies that she’s also looking for him. Taking the opportunity to taunt her, Kumud shares proudly, “Today, Saras declared in front of everyone that he wants to marry me.”
Ghuman, unimpressed, warns her not to rely on his words, claiming he might change his mind again. However, Kumud firmly counters, “He said no before knowing me, but today, after understanding me, he said yes. I trust his decision and faith.” Ghuman tries to intimidate her by claiming she’ll stop the marriage, but Kumud remains unfazed.
Later, Kumud observes statues nearby and smiles, feeling hopeful as they symbolize love.
Scene shifts to Saras:
Saras searches for Kumud amidst women preparing for the marriage function. Badimaa notices him and teases, “What are you doing here?” He insists on helping and humorously offers to peel tomatoes, but Badimaa sends him away.
Saras then meets Sunny, asking for Kumud’s whereabouts. Sunny, curious, asks Saras what he wants to say to her. Saras admits, “I proposed to her, and now I want her reply. I need to hear it directly from her.” Sunny encourages him to get an answer.
Scene shifts back to Kumud:
Kumud, standing before a mirror, reflects on Saras’ words and smiles. Playing with her hair, she muses, “My hair will only fall on your face.” Badimaa joins her and reveals that Saras has been searching for her. She teases Kumud, who shyly smiles.
Badimaa expresses her happiness, recalling her hidden pain and how she never wanted Kumud to experience such sorrow. She tells Kumud that her life is beginning anew and encourages her to face challenges with trust. Badimaa assures her that Saras will always be by her side and declares, “For me, you two are already a couple.”
Scene shifts to Vidyachatur:
Vidyachatur scolds Yash, while Badimaa assures him that they’ll handle the preparations. Yash’s mother remarks that Vidyachatur wouldn’t be as worried if it were Kumud’s wedding. Vidyachatur praises their efforts, and Sunny discreetly hands Kumud a note.
Kumud reads Saras’ message asking her to meet him. As she prepares to leave, Kumari playfully teases her, urging her to go. Kumud smiles and heads to meet Saras, but Ghuman notices her and follows. Frustrated that her plans are failing, Ghuman looks worried.
