On the other side, Puru reaches the treatment venue and sees soldiers dying while bleeding. A small girl pleads with him to save her father. Puru walks to the girl’s father. The soldier pleads with Puru to take care of his daughter and wife after his death. Puru immediately orders that Chanakya be called, as only he can identify the disease and find an antidote.
Chanakya arrives with Hasti. Upon seeing the soldier’s condition, he warns that Puru should not go near the sick. Just as Puru is about to hold the soldier’s hand and assures him of his family’s safety, Chanakya intervenes. He checks the blood and instructs the royal family to leave the area, explaining that the disease is highly contagious and can spread by any means of contact.
Puru insists he cannot leave his people, but Chanakya recites Sanskrit shlokas and explains that the king’s safety is essential for the protection of his people. Puru walks out with his family. Read more updates from Blasters Series.
Barsine recalls how Alexander captured her mother and sister and used them to blackmail her into marrying him, promising their safety and telling her she would become the wife of the world’s most powerful king. Feeling guilty for betraying Puru, Barsine tries to take her own life. Her mother stops her and says Puru’s determination cannot be broken by these betrayals. Even when his loved ones turned against him, it didn’t shake his willpower—he will surely find a way to fight Alexander.
Olympia questions Alexander about the gift he sent to Puru through Ambhi Kumar and what his plan is. Alexander reveals he sent the rotten dead bodies of soldiers who had a deadly contagious disease. He explains that the disease will spread across Pourav Rashtra and break Puru’s backbone. He says Puru would never have imagined such an attack. Olympia replies that Puru will not give up easily and will find a way to overcome this.
Alexander says that by the time Puru gathers and disposes of all the bodies, the disease will have spread throughout the kingdom. He adds that Puru will have to destroy all groceries and food supplies too—something no king would normally agree to.
Chanakya orders that all dead bodies must be removed and burned immediately, or else the disease will continue to spread. Puru asks whether this will prevent it from spreading further. However, even the healthy soldiers start falling ill after handling the corpses.
