In the palace, Rajeshwari thinks about the cart getting destroyed as she watched Rana ji and Gayatri together in the party. She thinks fate will not always be with them, she will have to do something else soon.

Kunwar ji announces that it has been a ritual of palace that New Year is celebrated each year. But this year it is special in the sense that he has invited a singer and dancer who takes care of everyone. Raaj Mata prays that today’s celebrations end well. Rana ji and Gayatri enjoy the performance. At the end of performance, Raaj Mata looks around to see Sartaj as the drummer. He looks at her and goes inside, Raaj Mata follows him.
Rana ji goes forwards towards the stage and appreciates the dancer’s performance. He presents her with a gift.
Raaj Mata asks Sartaj how dare he came to the palace, she can get him killed here. Sartaj tells Raaj Mata Avdesh found him in his first attempt and offered good money. Raaj Mata asks if he disclosed. Sartaj says he wouldn’t be a Raaj Mata had he told it, he has hidden this secret for years.
Gayatri goes to look for Raaj Mata.
Sartaj says he knows such stubborn people, he won’t back up. Raaj Mata asks where he is right now. Sartaj says he thought Avdesh would have reached here. Raaj Mata says Avdesh never does what people expect. She offers her locket to Sartaj, Sartaj says he can’t be sold, else he would have taken money from Avdesh. Sartaj says now is the time to tell the truth to everyone, and they will tell it to everyone by themselves.
Gayatri comes at the doorway and asks Sartaj who he is. Raaj Mata interferes that he is a companion of Baray Rana ji. She introduces Gayatri as Rani of Amirkot to Sartaj, they wish each other. Gayatri asks Sartaj to meet Rana ji but Raaj Mata says he has come from a long way and must return now. Raaj Mata leaves with Sartaj, Gayatri thinks her behavior was really awkward.
The guests ask for Raaj Mata, Rana ji goes to check her. Gayatri was coming downstairs, Rana ji stops her and asks if she remembers the British ritual. Gayatri asks him to let her go, he says he didn’t hold her hand to let her go. Gayatri says he only remembers the shameful rituals of British. Rana ji asks if she dislikes them. Gayatri smiles and then leaves.
Rajeshwari watched this from upstairs, Raaj Mata comes and asks Rajeshwari to pack her bag. As soon as Avdesh returns, they must leave the palace. Rajeshwari says Avdesh is resting inside. Raaj Mata says he isn’t in the palace, she knows about it but they both will have to leave the palace as soon as he returns.
Swarna was in her room thinking she misses Laakhan even during celebrations. Where he would be? Should she go to look for him. She remembers when she was ill and he had slept besides her bed, sitting with her hand in his all night. In the morning, he checked her temperature when Laksh came inside to confront him. He told Laksh to speak in a low voice, Swarna is ill. Laksh insisted that this is his room, and he is here to take care of her. Lakhan had said if Laksh was able to take care of her, he wouldn’t have to come here. Kunwar ji came and told Laksh to leave Laakhan, he had scolded Laksh and asks Laakhan why he has forgotten where he was brought in the forest, else Cheetah’s not only prey but are preyed upon as well. She thinks it is better Lakhan stay away from the palace.
The doctor brought someone in the cart. He asked the rider to ride fast, he doesn’t want the last wish of the patient not be fulfilled and he wants to take his last breathes in palace. The cart stops outside the palace, and doctor and rider help someone out of it.
Gayatri again meets Sartaj and says he is leaving without meeting Rana ji and eating something. Rana ji will really dislike if he leaves hungry. Raaj Mata tells Sartaj to eat something. Sartaj tells Gayatri he will take something. Gayatri leaves. Raaj Mata says she didn’t want Gayatri to fell in doubt, he must not eat and get lost.
Rana ji asks Gayatri whom she was talking to. The cart stops outside the palace, some men help the patient down the cart on a stretcher.
Rana ji asks Gayatri whom she had been talking to when there is an announcement for a performance and a young man comes to stage. Rana ji promises Gayatri that she has been his shield in the past year, now he will be her shield. No one can come between them now. Gayatri hugs Rana ji.
The cart stops at the entry of palace. The guard comes inside and tells them there is someone who wants to take the last breathes in the palace. The doctor comes to Rana ji and tells him he had no option, she hasn’t eaten anything for the last one month and says she is paying for her sins and will die in the same situation. Rana ji asks who she is. They put the stretcher down, it was Bari Rani Maa. Kunwar ji is shocked to see her. Gayatri remembers Bari Rani Maa’s behavior with her. Kunwar ji asks the doctor how his mother got in such a situation, he goes to sit beside the weak Bari Rani Maa.
Kokilla tells Kunwar ji to let it go, Bari Rani Maa tries to stand up but the doctor prohibits her and helps her sit up. Bari Rani Maa stands up anyways with the help of doctor and Kunwar ji. She joins her hands to Rana ji and apologizes him. She fell down again. Rana ji says to doctor he fulfilled his responsibility by bringing her here but he can’t allow her to stay here. Kunwar ji says she is his mother, his Bari Rani Maa. Rana ji tells them to take her to a hospital, there must be no exception in her treatment, and he will bear the expense. Bari Rani Maa says she wants to die amongst her owns. Rana ji says has come to the wrong place, there is none her own. He heads to leave. Gayatri stops him, she tells the guards to take Bari Rani Maa in the room. She tells Rana ji that no one ever returned empty handed from Rana ji’s palace. Amirkot Rana have always abide by their ethics, they will do today as well. Kunwar ji takes Bari Rani Maa inside.
Raaj Mata comes to the room and holds Bari Rani Maa’s hand. Bari Rani Maa says Raaj Mata has always been right, she still is. Raaj Mata tells her to sleep, she needs to rest and leaves.
Rana ji was in the balcony when Raaj Mata comes to him. She says she knows what Rana ji is going through. Rana ji says how he can trust Bari Rani Maa, maybe it’s a trick again. Raaj Mata says she isn’t even sure, but she is with him in any decision and goes to bid farewell to guests.
The doctor examines Bari Rani Maa and tells Kunwar ji she isn’t in a condition to talk. Kunwar ji was crying, he tells the doctor to bring her to a condition to speak. He can see anything, but not his mother in pain. He asks doctor to do anything, if he can’t reduce her pain then free her from it. Laksh tells Kunwar ji to control himself and allow the doctor to complete his treatment. The doctor says she doesn’t have much time, and gives her an injection.
Raaj Mata asks Sartaj what he is doing here. Sartaj says he stopped by seeing that old woman who is repenting her sins. He has been living with this secret inside her, he wants to get rid of this burden. Raaj Mata says that the old lady is the biggest enemy of Rana ji and palace, she can do much worse if she knows ws about the secret. She says it is better Sartaj leaves as truth has neither place nor time here.
Gayatri comes in Bari Rani Maa’s room with tears in eyes, and takes her hand. Bari Rani maa apologizes her, she is her sinner. Her hand drops off Gayatri’s hand, Gayatri asks Bari Rani Maa what she is saying. Bari Rani Maa says the sun is setting, she is leaving. She wants to see Rana ji for one last time. The doctor checks on her, and announces it is useless. He says no injection or medicine can save her, she only has a few breathes now. Gayatri hurries outside.
Rana ji tells the guard to stay outside the room of Bari Rani Maa. He comes to his room when Gayatri comes there. She says she is leaving, any moment can be the last moment. Before she leaves him must atleast meet her? Rana ji says he can’t forgive her. Gayatri says they know it well he won’t be able to forgive himself if she dies. She says that in this country it is an honor to have elders in house. Rana ji asks no matter how the elders might be.
