Virat asks if she has lost her mind. Amruta then turns to Ranvir and asks if he wants to get out. She also starts pulling at the lift door with all her strength. Worried that she will get injured, Ranvir pulls her away. Amruta gets emotional and asks why he stopped her, saying he should have let her die. She tells him she lost him two years ago and cannot lose him again. Overcome with emotions, she hugs Ranvir.

Meanwhile, Babita tells Bhavani that Amruta has gone to find out the truth about Ranvir. Bhavani accuses Babita of using Amruta just to prove that Ranvir is actually Virat. She criticizes Babita and says Mandira was right about her. Bhavani firmly says Virat is dead and will never return, no matter how much Babita hopes. Furious, Babita raises her hand to slap Bhavani, but Bhavani stops her and warns that she is not Mandira, so Babita should never try that again. Babita angrily asks Bhavani to leave, but Bhavani refuses, saying she will only go after Amruta returns.
At the mall, Abhir and Shekar arrive. Abhir asks Manvi why she called the police over such a small matter. Manvi says Amruta has forgotten her place and declares that today she will remind her exactly where she belongs.
After some time, the lift doors finally open, and Ranvir and Amruta step outside. Ranvir immediately complains to Manvi about Amruta’s behaviour. Manvi and her lawyer then hand Amruta a restraining order. Manvi warns her that if she comes anywhere near Ranvir again, she will be sent to jail. After they leave, Abhir asks Amruta what she gained from everything that happened. Once everyone is gone, Amruta looks at a strand of Ranvir’s hair in her hand. It is revealed that she secretly pulled it out while hugging him. She decides to do a DNA test because she believes it will finally reveal the truth.
Back at home, Bebe criticizes Amruta for everything she has done. Asha also scolds her, reminding her that she once blamed everyone else, but now she is acting without thinking herself. Babita apologizes to Asha on Amruta’s behalf, and Shekar later takes Asha away.
Bhavani then scolds Amruta for leaving Nimrit alone during her Chunri festival just to chase after Ranvir. She says that if Virat were alive, he would be disappointed in her for hurting Nimrit this way before walking away. Feeling sorry for Amruta, Abhir follows Bhavani and asks her to understand Amruta’s pain. He reminds Bhavani that Amruta is struggling because she suddenly has to face someone who looks exactly like Virat. Bhavani finally agrees to hear Amruta out before judging her.
Later, Amruta apologizes to Nimrit for missing her Chunri festival. Nimrit asks if she has found any proof that Ranvir is not Virat. She confidently says she already got her answer in Goa. Amruta says nothing but quietly believes that once the DNA test is done, everyone will know Ranvir is actually Virat.
That night, Ranvir dreams about his moments with Amruta. He wakes up feeling disturbed. Manvi notices and asks if he had another nightmare. Ranvir admits that this time Amruta was in his dream too. He tells her he keeps feeling like he is Virat, but Manvi firmly tells him that he is not Virat and that he is her Ranvir. She tells him to go back to sleep before leaving.
Later that night, Amruta quietly tries to leave the Ahuja house. Abhir notices a shadow and switches on the lights, only to find Babita standing there. Babita says she came out to drink water and asks why he is awake so late. After a short conversation, Abhir leaves, not realizing that Amruta has been hiding nearby.

The next morning, Amruta wakes up and notices the mysterious person in the black hoodie. She asks who it is, but the person quickly walks away. The receptionist then calls her to collect the DNA report. Amruta opens it and is shocked to see that the result is negative. She steps aside and sadly thinks that maybe everyone was right and Ranvir is not Virat after all.
At the same time, Virat finds a bracelet among his belongings. Confused, he wonders where it came from.
Amruta later catches up with the person in the black hoodie. The person removes the hood, and it turns out to be Abhir. He jokes that Bhavani sent him to keep an eye on her. After seeing the DNA report, Amruta admits that she truly believed Ranvir was Virat, but the report has proved her wrong. Abhir gently asks her to move on with her life. Elsewhere, the real person who had been watching Amruta is revealed to be Manvi, also wearing a black hoodie. She silently promises herself that Ranvir will always remain Ranvir.
When Babita sees the DNA report, she refuses to believe it. She tells Amruta they will find another way to uncover the truth. Amruta says she does not want to continue anymore. Babita asks if she has also lost hope. Bhavani comments on the situation, but Abhir steps in and says that as the son of the house, he has decided there will be no more investigations. Babita immediately warns him not to try taking Virat’s place in the family. Hurt by her words, Abhir walks away.
