Rithuraj arrives, remarking that Teju likely slept peacefully after taking the medicine he gave her. Nandini questions his involvement, pointing out Neil is a doctor. Rithuraj argues that not all problems need medical intervention. Spotting a pillow on the sofa, he asks about it. Prachi jokes it wasn’t needed on the first night and calls him a nosy aunty. Nandini calls everyone for the Naamkaran ritual.
Amruta and Vinod go to invite Leena. She initially refuses but eventually agrees after Vinod convinces her. Yash suggests Neil take Teju to Europe for their honeymoon, but Neil replies that Teju has exams. Leena enters sarcastically, questioning why Teju needs to study after marrying into a wealthy family. Neil defends Teju’s education, pointing out that the women in their family are all graduates. Leena dismisses Teju’s MA in music as unnecessary and urges her to focus on household duties. Neil challenges her, and Teju finally speaks up. She accuses Leena of never accepting her and questions the demand to act like an ideal daughter-in-law. Teju resists the idea of a name change. Jeetu explains her name holds divine meaning and aligns with Neil’s. Amruta clarifies the ritual is symbolic, not legal. Neil quietly considers “Aparajita” as a future name. Nandini asks Leena to suggest a name. Vinod jokes about forming a band. Leena insists on naming Teju, and Bhushan praises her. Leena writes a name in rice, shocking everyone by declaring it “Illegitimate.” The family is stunned. Bhushan and Vinod confront her, but Leena defends her choice, claiming she is revealing the truth about Teju. Teju defends her parents and her identity, reaffirming that her name is Tejaswini Chavan.

Rithuraj is asked to perform, and he accepts but questions Teju’s availability because of her exams. Neil offers to reschedule, but the senior doctor insists and asks Teju directly. She agrees. Neil quietly wonders if Rithuraj influenced her decision. Nandini asks Rithuraj to acknowledge Teju’s new role, but he refuses, saying she remains only a friend in his eyes. Amruta accepts this response. The senior doctor again invites the family. Neil declines due to research, but Bhushan and the doctor insist he attend.
