He questions how he could let Ishani go to a college where Anurag works. He tells Anurag that Ishani is someone’s wife and daughter-in-law and that he should have controlled himself. Shashwat says no one expects a professor to behave like this.

Pihu recalls how Anurag always knows everything about Ishani and agrees with Shashwat. She confronts Anurag, saying he used her, and tells Ishani that she knew about all this. Ishani tries to speak, but Pihu stops her. Pihu accuses Ishani of breaking her trust and says she feels ashamed to call her best friend. She questions Anurag’s character, saying she never expected him to behave like this, and asks why he didn’t tell her about him and Ishani when she proposed. Shashwat is shocked. Pihu declares she hates both of them and runs off, leaving Ishani in tears as she looks at Anurag.
Later, Ishani enters her room and tells Shashwat she did not know about Anurag’s letter. Shashwat asks why she is scared if she didn’t send it and reassures her that she did nothing wrong. He asks if she thinks Anurag did right and decides to teach him a lesson, asking her not to stop him. Ishani warns him that Anurag might lose his job.
Shashwat tells her not to worry because Anurag deserves punishment for sending a letter to his wife. He says it’s about Ishani and her family’s reputation and is shocked by Pihu’s reaction. He decides to talk to Pihu later. Shashwat questions Ishani about why she supported Pihu in Anurag’s matter. Ishani insists she didn’t. Shashwat tells her Pihu is hurt because of Ishani. He then asks if she has a special place for Anurag in her heart. Ishani denies it.
Shashwat asks if she really didn’t fall into Anurag’s trap, saying he noticed her concern for him. He mentions that Nandini claimed feelings could be mutual after reading the letter, but he didn’t believe her. He tells Ishani he trusts her and asks if she already knows Anurag, clarifying she need not be scared. He locks the door from inside.
Ishani questions why he closed the door. Shashwat says it’s nighttime and holds her hand. Ishani says she’s tired and doesn’t want to continue tonight. Shashwat reminds her she hasn’t accepted him as her husband and confronts her about her affair with Anurag. Ishani denies it.
