She finally feels at peace and is no longer worried about the present or afraid of the future. Meanwhile, Shivansh asks Prarthna if she can predict the future. He tells her that his life is not in danger and asks why she keeps saying that something bad will happen to him. Prarthna says he has faced many troubles ever since she came into his life. She reminds him that he was hurt while saving her and could have died. She regrets becoming a bad omen in his life and says she feels she is the common link between all the accidents.
Shivansh asks her not to think like that. He explains that she is not the reason for his troubles and says she has always been his protector. Prarthna asks him not to look at those incidents positively because she cannot bear it if anything happens to him. She says that if he dies, she will also die because he is a good man whom she respects deeply. She asks him to give her a divorce because she has the right to protect him. She says she will follow her heart, but Shivansh tells her that she is wrong and refuses to support her decision. Prarthna asks him to accept her condition and gives him the divorce papers, asking him to sign them.
Shivansh initially refuses, but eventually agrees to sign for the sake of Prarthna’s happiness. He knows she is heartbroken, but she believes she is doing this to connect him with life and wants him to live well and remain happy. She cries as Shivansh angrily sits down and signs the papers. Bua Maa asks him if he spoke to Prarthna, but he says nothing and walks away. Bua Maa checks the divorce papers and is happy to see Shivansh’s signature. She immediately shares the news with Sonalika, who is overjoyed and cannot believe that Shivansh actually signed. She rushes to call the lawyer and tells Bua Maa that her parents are coming the next day. Bua Maa says she is not afraid of anyone and will welcome Sonalika’s parents. Sonalika, however, wonders how Shivansh agreed to sign the papers.
Prarthna gets ready and decides that she must leave the Randhawa house soon. Shivansh meets her and tells her that he signed the divorce papers for her sake. He says their relationship is breaking and that there is no point in her admitting her feelings now. He tells her to stay as long as she wants because even though their relationship has ended on paper, his feelings for her will remain the same. Prarthna asks him not to get angry, but Shivansh asks if she expects him to stay happy after ending their marriage. He says he feels suffocated at home. Prarthna tells him that it is her last day in the house and asks him to stay around. Shivansh agrees and asks her to prepare food for him one last time. She promises to do so.
Shivansh hits his hand against the wall, and Prarthna immediately asks what he has done. He tells her to stop worrying about him, but she asks him not to hurt himself again. She goes to prepare food for him. Sonalika arrives and taunts Prarthna, telling her that she can never win Shivansh’s heart. She insults her and leaves, making Prarthna cry. Shivansh comes there and wipes her tears. He tells her that he will handle everything if she changes her mind and calls off the divorce. He says that if they want to stay together, they should not separate. Prarthna tells him that his life matters more than their togetherness and asks him to leave.
Bua Maa then comes and asks Prarthna when she is leaving the house. She says that there is no reason for Prarthna to stay after Shivansh has signed the divorce papers. Prarthna says she will leave the next day, but Bua Maa asks her to leave that same day. Shivansh arrives and asks Bua Maa if she needs something. She pretends that she was only passing by and leaves. Shivansh asks Prarthna to accompany him to her favourite tea stall, but she refuses and says she will serve him food instead. He agrees but tells her not to keep stopping him from making his own decisions. He says he cannot take revenge on her.
Shivansh then sees a picture of himself and Prarthna. When Prarthna brings the food, he insists that they eat from the same plate. He says he does not like eating separately and wants them to share the same plate. Prarthna smiles as they share an emotional moment together. The romantic atmosphere briefly returns, but tears begin to fall from Prarthna’s eyes. Shivansh asks why she is crying. Sonalika scolds Prarthna for carrying Shivansh’s picture and says that he no longer belongs to her, so she has no right to keep his photograph. Prarthna says Shivansh is still a part of her life and she wants to take his picture with her. She says she may be leaving without any material possessions, but her heart is not empty because it is filled with memories and love for Shivansh. She came to the house after breaking one relationship and is now leaving after breaking another, but the memories in her heart cannot be taken away.
Bua Maa worries that Shivansh might wake up if he hears Prarthna’s voice and asks Prarthna not to cry. She tells Prarthna that Sonalika is not completely wrong and asks her to leave the photograph behind. She warns Prarthna not to invite more sorrow by taking Shivansh’s picture with her. Sonalika refuses to let Prarthna take it and says Prarthna should not even imagine Shivansh because he no longer belongs to her. Prarthna fights for the photograph, but Sonalika scolds her and throws her out of the house. Prarthna begs her to give back the picture, but Sonalika shuts the door in her face.

That night, Shivansh dreams of reuniting with Prarthna before suddenly seeing them separate. He wakes up disturbed and immediately looks for her. Prarthna reaches Matarani’s temple and prays for peace. She says Seema does not love her and may not accept her return. She does not want to go home and create problems for Kishan either. She worries about her parents’ reputation in society and fears that returning home will bring sorrow and disgrace to her family. She does not want to become the reason for their humiliation, so she asks Matarani to help her find a way.
Shivansh arrives at the temple and asks Prarthna why she left the house. She asks him to listen to her, but he asks what she wants. He says she keeps getting herself into trouble and then expecting him to come to her rescue. He asks her not to put herself in danger. He holds her hand and takes her with him. While doing so, he gets hurt, making Prarthna believe even more strongly that she is unlucky for him. She cries and says he came to stop her and got hurt again. Shivansh tells her that he does not like seeing her tears. He agrees to leave if she does not want him around and walks away. Prarthna tells him that he is mistaken and that she does not want him to come back because she only wants to protect his life.
Sonalika asks Bua Maa where Shivansh has gone. Bua Maa tells her that Shivansh went to make sure Prarthna is safe. She asks Sonalika to remove Prarthna from his mind. Shivansh eventually returns home, and Sonalika asks where he went. She starts complaining about Prarthna, but Shivansh asks her to give him some space and goes to his room. Bua Maa tells Sonalika to understand Shivansh and give him some time, advising her to behave sweetly with him. Sonalika says she knows exactly how to get Shivansh back.
Meanwhile, Prarthna finally returns to her family home. Seema and Gayatri see her standing at the door, crying. Seema asks why she has come. Prarthna tells them that she has left Shivansh’s house.
