Dadi consoles Kavya while Karan takes Preeta aside before Kareena can tell her the truth. Meanwhile, Shaurya asks the police inspector if he believes Karan is responsible for what happened to Nidhi. The inspector leaves, and Rakhi explains to Shaurya that a suicide attempt is a sensitive matter. She says that when a wife attempts suicide, the police usually suspect the husband first. Shaurya asks what happened between Karan and Nidhi, but Rakhi only shakes her head. Angry, Shaurya goes inside.
Preeta tells Karan that she feels Kareena does not like her, but Karan assures her that it is not like that. Shaurya then comes to Karan and asks if he fought with Nidhi. Karan remembers his argument with Nidhi but lies that they did not fight. Shaurya refuses to believe him. He says he knows Karan is hiding something and that he will find out the truth before leaving.
Preeta notices Kareena glaring at her and wonders why she is looking at her that way. She then goes to Shaurya and tells him that she understands why he is behaving like this because the situation is difficult. Shaurya breaks down and cries.
Rakhi asks Karan if he wants to lose Shaurya. Karan questions why she is saying that, and Rakhi reveals that Nidhi attempted suicide because of Preeta. She says she will not tolerate Preeta staying in her house. Karan immediately defends Preeta and says she is not responsible for anything.
Kareena says she knew Karan would never accept the truth and asks why they are blaming Preeta for everything. Rakhi tells Karan to focus on Shaurya because he may stop speaking to Karan if he learns the truth. Karan says it is not like that, but Rakhi insists that Preeta is Nidhi’s ‘sautan’ and Nidhi cannot tolerate her in the Luthra house. She tells Karan to send Preeta home and leaves.
At the Luthra house, Rajveer enters Karan’s room and searches for the file. He opens the locker while Mahesh arrives home and learns that Rajveer is upstairs. Meanwhile, Preeta asks Shaurya to stay strong, but he says he cannot. She thinks that Rajveer and Shaurya are both going through the same pain. Shaurya asks Preeta not to tell anyone that he cried and then leaves.
Preeta calls Rajveer and asks him to come to the city hospital. He agrees. Mahesh then finds Rajveer and asks what he is doing there. Rajveer lies that he came to deliver a file and says he has to go to the hospital. Mahesh tells him that Nidhi is in the city hospital.
Kavya tells Dadi that they misunderstood Nidhi, and Dadi assures her that everything will be fine. Preeta suddenly feels dizzy, so Karan goes to call the doctor. Rajveer asks Preeta if she is okay, but she says Shaurya is not fine. Rajveer tells her that Karan must be the reason behind Nidhi’s decision. Preeta disagrees and asks him to speak to Shaurya instead. Rajveer agrees.
Karan brings the doctor, who examines Preeta. Rajveer then speaks to Shaurya and tells him that nobody can replace a mother. He assures him that nothing will happen to his mother.
Anshuman calls Rajveer and asks about the file. Rajveer says he found it but did not steal it because he is now at the hospital. Anshuman taunts him for always talking about revenge but never doing anything for it. Rajveer tells him that it is his revenge and he knows what he is doing. He asks Anshuman not to tell him what he should do and disconnects the call.
Anshuman says Rajveer has made a mistake. He then calls the detective and asks why Karan has not been arrested yet. The detective tells him that the police are at the hospital and Karan will soon be arrested.
The doctor informs the Luthras that Nidhi is in critical condition and that they are doing everything possible to save her. He then goes inside. Soon, media reporters arrive and start questioning the Luthras about Nidhi’s suicide attempt.
Shaurya sees the breaking news and becomes angry. A reporter asks him to tell the truth if he wants justice for Nidhi and questions him about the fight between Karan and Nidhi. Shaurya says Karan and Nidhi never behaved like a normal husband and wife. He adds that he will not spare Karan if anything happens to Nidhi.
The reporter tells Karan that the law is equal for everyone and that he cannot escape. Rakhi tells the reporters that they do not know the truth and explains that Karan was the one who brought Nidhi to the hospital. The reporter says Karan would have ended up in jail if he had not saved Nidhi. Mahesh asks the reporters to leave, but they refuse.
The police inspector arrives and asks Karan to come to the police station. The Luthras defend Karan, while the reporters immediately begin reporting his arrest. The inspector says he wants to speak to Nidhi, but Karan explains that she is in critical condition and cannot speak to anyone. The inspector arrests Karan and takes him away. Dadi asks Mahesh to call the lawyer.
Later, the police take Karan to the station while the media continues reporting his arrest. Anshuman is happy when he sees the news and calls Shukla, asking him to get an interview with Shaurya.
Rakhi asks Mahesh what he is doing at the hospital. Mahesh says he has already spoken to the lawyer, but Shaurya is making their problems worse. He shows the family Shaurya’s interview. Preeta watches the news and says the media reporters are manipulating Shaurya. Rajveer also watches the news.
Meanwhile, Daljeet, Shanaya, and Palki see the news and learn about Nidhi’s suicide attempt and Karan’s arrest.
Preeta scolds the media reporters for manipulating Shaurya. She says they do not care about the Luthras’ emotions and are taking advantage of the situation. She takes Shaurya inside. The doctor tells the Luthras not to stay there because Karan has been arrested.
Preeta tells Shaurya that the Luthras are his family and that their respect is also his respect. She asks how he could give such an interview and warns him to be careful. She then leaves.
Kavya scolds Shaurya for giving an interview against Karan, but the Luthra women ask her to stop. Dadi says Shaurya is still a child. Kavya insists that Shaurya should have remained quiet. Shaurya says he did nothing wrong.
Rakhi tells Shaurya that he has no idea what he has done and says Karan is behind bars because of him. Shaurya says Karan deserves it. Kavya says she is ashamed to call Shaurya her brother. Shaurya taunts her by saying that she has another brother and asks why Rajveer did not come to help them.
Gurpreet tells Rajveer that everyone is gossiping about Karan and Nidhi. Rajveer says Karan is a bad person. Palki comes there and asks why he thinks Karan is bad. She says she knows that Karan is a good person and tells Rajveer to behave well with good people. Rajveer insists that Karan is not a good person.
Palki reminds Rajveer that Preeta would not work for the Luthras if Karan were truly a bad person. Rajveer says Preeta does not see people’s real faces. Palki asks him to help the Luthras and warns that she will not speak to him again if he refuses to listen. She says she will feel that Rajveer does not care about her feelings. Rajveer is shocked by her words. Palki reminds him that the Luthras need him.
Preeta thinks that Karan is a good person and could not be responsible for Nidhi’s suicide attempt. She believes Karan will be released if Nidhi gives a statement in his favour. She goes to Nidhi’s room and asks her to wake up. Preeta tells Nidhi that Karan has been arrested and asks her to wake up because the Luthras need her.
Rajveer arrives, and Preeta asks him to do something. He tells her that they should go home. Preeta reminds him that he refused to donate blood to Karan and says it was her mistake to expect help from him now.
Shaurya tells his family that Rajveer is not there to help them because he knows Karan is wrong. Mahesh tells Shaurya to stop talking. Kareena says Shaurya is angry and will not understand anything. Shaurya asks why they do not care about Nidhi.
Kareena explains that they are in the hospital because they are worried about Nidhi. Kavya says Nidhi’s health is their priority, which is why they are there. Shaurya argues that they are there because of Karan, because if anything happens to Nidhi, Karan will end up in jail. Rakhi asks him to stop, while Dadi tells Preeta to go to her house.
Elsewhere, Varun and his parents learn about Karan’s arrest. Varun leaves, while Roma asks Gowtham what will happen to their plan if the accusations against Karan are true.
At Gurpreet’s house, Daljeet tells Shanaya not to get involved in the matter and to let the Luthras handle it. Preeta and Rajveer arrive, and Preeta tells Daljeet that they should support the Luthras. She says she does not believe Karan is responsible for Nidhi’s suicide attempt.
