Saras and Kumud On Starlife Thursday 16th January 2025 Update, “Saras and Kumud now airs for 1 hour long starting from 16th January” – Ghuman talks to Kumud’s mother. Kumud’s mother says, “If you need anything, let me know.” Ghuman responds, “Thanks, but I came to tell you something. Parents should take care of their children, especially when a daughter has grown up and fallen in love with someone.” Ghuman taunts her, adding, “Kumud met Saras and crossed the limits.” She shows her a letter in which Kumud admits her mistake. Kumud’s mother replies, “I already knew this.”

Ghuman says, “I don’t understand you people. You spoke against me to Laxminandan, yet you’re favoring Kumud.” Kumud’s mother defends her, saying they can forgive Kumud and Saras because they love each other and will soon be husband and wife. Ghuman warns, “But if Saras ever refuses the marriage, Kumud will be considered impure.”
Saras enters and says, “Never!” (Well said!) He continues, “My relationship with Kumud is unbreakable. We have given each other rights as a couple. Kumud is pure and will always be pure.” Ghuman begins to leave, but Saras stops her, saying, “This is the first time I’m giving you such an answer. Kumud is my wife, and insulting her is like insulting me. Keep that in mind.” Kumud overhears this and smiles. (Good going, Saras!)
Kumud’s mother, touched by Saras’s words, says, “I didn’t have answers to Ghuman’s questions, but the way you defended Kumud shows you are keeping the promises a husband makes in marriage. That’s why you have every right over Kumud.” Saras replies, “From today, we will walk together, never to be separated.” Kumud, watching from her window, smiles. Saras leaves.
Laxminandan tells Ghuman, “We’ve found an amazing girl for Saras. There should be no compromises in the marriage.” Ghuman replies, “I agree Kumud is a good girl, but there are significant differences between us. If these differences cause issues after the marriage…” Laxminandan interrupts, “She will adjust, and so will we. I’ve seen the love and respect in Saras and Kumud’s eyes. There won’t be any issues.” He asks, “Did you share the good news with Danny?” She says no. He replies, “I’ll call him and tell him now.” Ghuman mutters to herself, “Don’t celebrate too soon; their relationship won’t last long.”
Scene shifts to Kumud:
Kumud reflects on Saras’s words, feeling happy. She looks at the garland he placed on her and smiles, saying, “I understand your every word.” Saras enters, notices her, and leaves. Kumud stops him and says, “Sorry.” He asks, “For what? For fighting or for calling that night a mistake?” She replies, “For calling that night a mistake. I was wrong.” He asks, “Why were you upset? You always say that where there is love, there’s trust. Then why did you carry this burden in your heart?” He adds, “Whatever happened between us has only brought us closer.” Kumud agrees, “Yes, we won’t look back now.” They share a loving moment as Kumud hugs him. (Sweet!!)
Scene shifts to Badimaa:
Badimaa searches for her husband’s photo and thinks, “Maybe Kumari took it.” Kumud’s mother approaches and apologizes, saying, “You were right to trust Saras. Your belief in him has proven true.” Badimaa smiles, saying, “My Saras is gold; he will keep Kumud very happy.” Kumud’s mother adds, “I trust him too. He loves and respects her. I can give my daughter to him without hesitation.” Badimaa calls Saras a diamond, while Kumud’s mother praises Kumud as a flower.
Meanwhile, Kumari talks to Umesh about Saras’s proposal to Kumud. She says, “You should do something like that.” Umesh replies, “I’ll do something even better.” Ghuman overhears their conversation and smiles. Kumari gets nervous. Ghuman says, “Why are you worried? I won’t say anything. I’ve been in love before and fought many battles for it. I can help you. When will you introduce me to your boyfriend?” Kumari hesitantly asks, “Will you meet him?” Ghuman assures her, “Of course. If I had a daughter, I’d want her to be just like you.”
Scene shifts to the hall:
Laxminandan gathers everyone and announces, “We need to discuss something important.” Vidyachatur asks, “Did we do something wrong?” Laxminandan says, “Not at all. We want Saras and Kumud’s wedding date to be fixed soon.” Everyone is thrilled, except Ghuman, who is shocked. Laxminandan adds, “We want to take Kumud with us as soon as possible.” Vidyachatur agrees, saying he’ll call the pandit tomorrow.
Saras silently hopes, “Kumud, wake up! Our marriage date is being fixed. I want to share this moment with you.” He notices her shadow near the door and smiles.
Saras goes to Kumud as the family discusses the wedding date. He closes the door and teases, “Kumud, what should I do? Shall I come closer or not?” She replies, “No,” before running away with a smile. A song plays in the background as Saras watches her and smiles. The episode ends with their soothing smiles.
Kumud is ready to leave for the school picnic, and Saras blocks her way at the door, smiling. She tells him to move as panditji is coming, but he refuses, saying he won’t let anyone come between them. She calls panditji, and Saras is startled when the pandit actually arrives. Kumud says she’s leaving for school and walks away, smiling as Saras bids her goodbye. Panditji examines the kundlis and mentions some issues, but Saras, confident in his astrological knowledge, challenges him. Panditji, irritated, leaves, and Laxminandan suggests Saras choose the wedding date himself. Saras calculates and picks an auspicious day, fifteen days away, when Ram-Sita and Shiv-Parvati were married. Everyone is delighted, except for Ghuman, who leaves in anger.
Meanwhile, Kumari gets a call from Umesh, who asks her to meet him at the Shiv Mandir. Guniyal answers the call initially but hands it over to Kumari. Ghuman overhears their conversation and begins to follow Kumari. Vidyachatur and Badimaa discuss revealing the truth about Kumari’s father to her. Badimaa agrees it’s time to tell her everything, though she’s apprehensive.
At the Shiv Mandir, Umesh introduces Kumari to her father, who expresses regret over his strained relationship with Badimaa. Kumari is overwhelmed and hugs him, while Ghuman watches the scene, pleased to see the unfolding drama. Kumari’s father shares his side of the story, accusing Badimaa of sending him to jail. Ghuman schemes to further exploit the situation to create chaos in the family.
Back at home, the family celebrates the wedding preparations. Laxminandan expresses his joy and blesses Kumud, calling her his daughter. Vidyachatur jokes about Kumud leaving the house after marriage, but the mood remains light and cheerful. Kumud begins preparing for her school picnic, promising to return in two days. Saras overhears this and appears thoughtful.
Later, Ghuman vows to destroy everything and leave the family in turmoil. As Kumud prepares to leave for the picnic, Saras arrives late and sees her bus driving off. He runs after it, determined not to miss a chance to see her.
