Saras and Kumud On Starlife Friday 17th January 2025 Update, Kumud asks Kusum if she has seen Saras. Kumud then leaves for school. She waits for Saras as everyone is getting on the bus. Kumud looks for him but eventually boards the bus. Saras comes running and chases after the bus. The bus leaves, and he follows it. Kumud sees him and asks the driver to stop the bus. Saras halts after going some distance, but the bus does not stop, so he takes a shortcut to catch up. Kumud looks out from the window as Saras tries to reach her.

He comes in front of the bus, forcing it to stop. Kumud sees him, gets off the bus, runs to him, and says, “You… where were you? I went to your room; I waited for you.”
Saras replies, “How can I let you go like this? I went to get something for you.” She asks, “What?” He says, “Something that will keep us together,” and gives her a mobile phone. The women on the bus clap for them and ask her to hurry up. Saras asks her to come closer, but she steps back, saying no. Saras smiles, bids her goodbye, and watches her leave. Kumud waves at him until the bus disappears from sight.
Later, Saras calls Kumud. She picks up, and they talk. She says, “It’s so soon,” to which he replies, “I had to tell you to please come back. How will I be without you for so many days?” She assures him, “I will come in two days.”
Saras says, “There are many minutes in two days, and many seconds. How will I be without you?” She cries with happiness and sees the letter “S” on her hand. He adds, “You don’t need to reply; I can hear everything.” She smiles. They both remain silent, enjoying the moment, and smile as they listen to the silence.
Scene shifts to Vidyachatur:
Sunny congratulates Saras as the land he chose is finalized. Vidyachatur says, “Your work will start soon.” He adds, “Let’s do the Bhoomi Puja soon.” Saras is happy and says, “I will do this Bhoomi Puja with you, Kumud.”
Scene shifts to Badimaa:
Badimaa asks Kumari to sit with her, saying, “I want to talk to you.” Kumari replies, “Even I want to talk.” Badimaa says, “I want to tell you about your father. No one knew how he would be. You were very small. He didn’t leave this family; his house has forgotten him, and it would be better if you also forget him.”
She continues, “I wanted to protect your childhood from him.” She hopes Kumari understands her. Kumari says, “Today I…”
Ghuman interrupts, having overheard their conversation. She gives Kumari an excuse to take her away, and Kumari leaves, cutting the discussion with Badimaa short.
Scene shifts to Saras:
Saras tries calling Kumud again, but he can’t get a network. Sunny approaches him and asks what he is doing. Saras says, “I need to call an important client.” Sunny teases, “Shall I guess? It’s Ms. Kumud Desai.” Sunny adds, “Even I do this to call Ayesha.”
He advises Saras to move to the corner for better reception. Saras finally manages to call but is disappointed when Kumud doesn’t pick up. (Sweet!)
Saras then receives a call and assumes it’s Kumud, but it’s Danny. Danny congratulates Saras and apologizes for not calling earlier, explaining that Ghuman had told him not to. Danny remarks how Saras’s life seems happier now. He shares that he had an accident and is preparing for a car race. Saras advises him to grow up, but Danny teases, saying there’s some magic in Ms. Kumud.
Saras smiles and tells Danny to refer to her as “Bhabhi” because their wedding date is fixed. Danny excitedly says, “I’m booking my ticket. Tell this to Bhabhi.” Saras smiles.
Sunny asks Saras, “Did you talk to her?” He replies, “Yes, after a long time.” Sunny says, “She went today.” Saras clarifies, “I was talking to Danny. He’s booking his ticket.”
Scene shifts to Ghuman and Kumari:
Ghuman confronts Kumari, asking, “What were you going to do? If Badimaa finds out you met him, she won’t let you see him again.” Kumari asks how Ghuman knows, and Ghuman admits, “I followed you to meet your boyfriend.”
She manipulates Kumari, claiming, “Badimaa isn’t doing right; she’s strange. She couldn’t make her husband hers. It’s as if she was looking for an excuse to separate from him, but she has done injustice to you.”
Ghuman warns Kumari to act smart or risk losing her boyfriend. She reassures Kumari, “Badimaa wants to keep you with her. Don’t lose hope; I’m with you. Do as I say, and you’ll get your dad and your love. This is my promise.” Kumari hugs her.
Vidyachatur discusses the Bhoomi Pujan. Ghuman arrives, and he informs her that tomorrow is the mahurat for the ceremony. Saras announces some good news—Danny is coming. Ghuman is delighted and says this is indeed great news. She adds that Danny is just like her, calling him a prince. Badimaa taunts her, asking if Danny also takes after her in values. Ghuman replies that he does, though she admits he isn’t perfect. Saras says, “I know, Mom, you’re excited. Let Danny come first.” Saras then suggests to Vidyachatur that the Bhoomi Pujan be held the day after tomorrow. Kumud’s mother insists that tomorrow is auspicious and they should proceed as planned. Ghuman looks at Saras skeptically.
Saras talks to himself, saying, “I will not do the puja without you. I’ll tell Kaka that I want to wait for you, and I’m sure he’ll understand.” Ghuman approaches him and asks if he’s worried. She mentions his suggestion to postpone the puja and wonders if there’s a problem. Saras replies that there’s no issue—he just wants Kumud to be part of the puja. Ghuman explains, “This often happens with mothers. A mother is always close to her son, but then a girl comes and becomes more important to him.” She adds, “If your mother were here, she wouldn’t have liked this.” Saras firmly says, “I’m doing this for my mother, and I want Kumud to be with me.” Ghuman comments, “Tomorrow’s mahurat is better. So, who’s more important to you—your mom or Kumud?” With that, she leaves, leaving Saras visibly upset.
He goes to Kusum and asks why Kumud’s number isn’t reachable. Kusum explains that Kumud doesn’t have a mobile phone. Saras says, “I gave her a mobile.” Kusum teases, “First gift of love—wow.” Saras asks if she knows the number of any teacher accompanying Kumud. Kusum says she’ll check. Just then, her mother calls her, and Saras tells her to go. He notices a garland in the almirah and smiles. He then finds an earthen pot and reminisces about his moments with Kumud. He recalls her words, their exchange of garlands, and the memories they created. He whispers, “You may not be here, Kumud, but these things make me feel closer to you. Both Mom and you are important to me, but I can’t postpone the puja tomorrow. You need to come back soon.”
Yash’s mother arrives and asks Saras what he’s doing there. He explains that he’s looking for something Kumud brought there. She comments sarcastically and starts searching the almirah, almost throwing the pot away. Saras quickly stops her, saying it might have sentimental value. She picks up the garland, and Saras offers to discard it himself. She hands him the garland and comments, “You’re quite innocent, so let me give you some advice—after marriage, make sure Kumud stitches your shirt buttons.” Saras laughs and agrees.
Ghuman visits the police station and meets Umesh. She tells him, “Kumari spoke to me about you. Don’t worry—I understand the freedom young people need.” Umesh responds positively, and Ghuman praises his looks, suggesting she wants him to marry Kumari. He gets a phone call, but she encourages him to take it. However, he turns off the phone and resumes their conversation. Ghuman subtly questions his intentions and soon learns that Umesh is married with two children. Pretending to remain calm, she says, “I have to leave now,” and promises to return. As she leaves, she mutters sarcastically, “Congratulations, Dugba, you’ve landed a proposal that will make you cry.”
Saras struggles with network issues and adorably mutters to himself, “Kumud, you’re bad. Don’t you miss me? Why haven’t you messaged me?” He jokes with a pigeon, asking it to deliver his message to Kumud, but then dismisses the idea as ridiculous. Kumud’s mother overhears him and asks whom he’s talking to. Embarrassed, he replies that he was composing poetry. She asks why he skipped breakfast, and he claims he isn’t hungry. She tells him to inform her when he’s ready to eat. Sunny arrives and teases Saras, saying Kumud has changed him.
Badimaa and Guniyal reminisce about Saraswati. Vidyachatur asks Gyaan if he has informed the panditji. Gyaan confirms that he has, but Vidyachatur forgets. Badimaa jokes about his forgetfulness and wonders what he’ll do during Kumud’s marriage. As Vidyachatur leaves to invite people for the puja, Badimaa taunts Ghuman, reminding her that cheaters never gain respect. Ghuman retorts with a cryptic warning, “You have many hurdles ahead.” She smirks and walks away.
The next morning, Vidyachatur urges everyone to get ready. Gyaan leaves to fetch the panditji. Saras, looking dashing in white, keeps seeing Kumud’s image everywhere. He smiles, remembering her. The song Kuch Na Kahe plays in the background. Kumud appears to take his photo, and he jokingly strikes a pose. She vanishes, and he chases after her, calling her name. Chandrika and Kusum interrupt, informing him that Kumud has gone to a picnic. The screen freezes on Saras’s shocked expression.
