Lucy’s lawyer spoke to Jia, Kai, Amanda and Gab in order to inform them that the appearance of the will did not change anything. This is because they could not prove that the copies came from the original will. Jia and Kai accused Lucy of hiding the original copy because she had the most to lose if it reappeared.
Lucy however denied it and accused them of going after Adam’s money. Jia decided to write a declaration that she would relinquish all of her rights to her inheritance because she only wanted to find out who killed Adam. She signed it and left it with Adam’s lawyer. She walked out with Kai but Amanda grabbed the signed document and tore it.
Amanda and Gab went after Jia and Kai to tell them that they should not give up their inheritance.
Jia found her interference suspicious so she decided to look into where Amanda was on the day Adam died. She checked the guest list from the anniversary party and found out that Amanda never signed it. She told Simon what he found out. Simon investigated the workers from Dragon Empire and they told him that they never saw Amanda at the party.
Mr. Chua found out about Adam’s will and decided to cancel his plan to buy the Dragon Empire Builders since Lucy and Dana were not the owners.
Dana saw Jia with David and got mad. She threw something at Jia but David blocked it. Jia told Kai that they were overstaying their welcome at David’s place and they had to move out. She went to see Dana and offered her a deal. Jia agreed to let go of her inheritance if Dana gave her back the house Adam bought for her and Kai. That way, she would leave David’s house.
Dana therefore talked to Lucy and they agreed on the deal.
Police came to see Jia at David’s place but she was not in. David spoke to them instead and they told him about RJ&E’s hacking. They had arrested Steven, the hacker and David found out that he was the boyfriend of Dana’s best friend. He went to see him in jail and Steven told David that Dana hired him to hack RJ&E. David told everything to Jia.
Jia confronted Dana but she denied it at first. When Jia did not believe her, she said that they did not have any evidence to prove that she was behind the hacking. Jia was furious because she had put a lot of effort to build her company. She therefore decided to fight for her inheritance.
She also said that she would not leave David’s house.
Amanda and Gab had Adam’s last will. They hid it when Simon came to their house for a follow up investigation. He asked Amanda if she was at the party because no one saw her. Amanda said she was only there briefly but later left because she was feeling ill.
She made Simon leave in a hurry before he could find the will. Simon found inconsistencies in her statement proving that she was hiding something.
