Love Thy Woman Episode 39 40, 41
Kai was found not guilty of killing Adam and was released from prison. Dana and Lucy were not happy with the ruling. They decided to proceed with their plans to sell Dragon Empires and all of Adam’s properties before Jia and Amanda could do anything.
Lucy and Dana did not tell Manny about their plans to sell the company and held a share holders meeting without him. Manny eventually found out from the other employees and confronted them. He said that he didn’t want the company he and Adam built to end up with someone else. Lucy did not pay heed to his objections.
Later, Manny found out that the Chua, the people buying dragon builders, planned on firing everyone and bringing in their own people. He did not want to see the staff lose their jobs so he tried to speak to Lucy again. When she did not listen to him, he decided to tell Jia everything. He called to tell her that Adam had left the company to her. He was distressed during the call and suddenly collapsed. Jia called his staff to check up on him and he was found dead. He had suffered a heart attack and died.
Amanda told Gab to get close to Jia because she had the biggest share from Adam’s will. The two went out for a meal and Amanda tried to befriend them. Kai therefore told Jia to be careful because they did not know what she was up to.
Simon spoke to Gab and Amanda because they were yet to catch Adam’s killer. Amanda told him that Lucy was the prime suspect because she got nothing from Adam. She also told Simon that Adam and Lucy constantly fought in the days leading up to his death.
Lucy found out that Adam bought the house that Jia and Kai were living at. As the beneficiary of all of Adam’s assets, she claimed ownership of the house and kicked them both out. David had gone to see Jia and offered to let them stay at his house.
Dana called David asking to talk to Michael but he wouldn’t let her. Dana went to his house drank and David could not make her leave because she fainted. He let her sleep on the couch and Dana saw Kai and Jia there the next morning. She harassed Jia but David made it clear that he did not need her permission to have guests at his house. Kai and Jia wanted to move out but David asked them not to leave.
Simon went to investigate Kai’s house since Jia was the last person to speak to Manny. There, he found a hard drive and took it for a forensic test. He found Lucy’s finger prints and went to her house to take her in for questioning. Lucy refused to go and suddenly fainted. She was taken to her room to rest and Dana called her doctor. She only pretended so that she wouldn’t go to jail.
The lawyer executing Adam’s will woke up from his coma. Lucy found out and told Dana to hurry up with the sale of Dragon Empire. Dana had a problem sealing the deal because the buyer wanted to go on a date with her as well. He refused to buy the company after Dana refused to go out with him. Lucy told Dana to do everything to get the company sold.
Dana asked Lucy if she had anything to do with Adam’s death. Lucy was offended and slapped her. Dana was however curious as to why Lucy stole the hard drive. She said that she went to the company to go to the anniversary party with Adam since she did not want people to know that they were separated.
She found him already shot and took the gun to go after the killer and that is when she ran into Kai. She therefore took the hard drives from the CCTV videos because she could be implicated as the killer since she was holding the gun. She hid the hard drives and but they both disappeared. One of them was found in Kai’s house while the other was still missing. Simon was still trying to retrieve the content from the hard drives.
Dana was ready to sell the company when she received an anonymous letter. It contained copies of Adam’s original will. She panicked and tried to find out who sent it. The copies were distributed to all the employees so Jia, Kai, Amanda and Gab all got word that the will had been found.
They went to dragon builders but Dana and Lucy claimed that the reappearance of the will did not change anything. Lucy brought her lawyer so that he could explain things to them.
