Jhanak On Starlife Friday 31st July 2026 Update, Jhanak keeps thinking about how Tanushri blamed her for Rishi and Aditi’s separation. Sanjhbati comes to her room and asks why she did not go to college. Jhanak says she was not in the mood. Sanjhbati understands why she is upset and tells her not to care about what everyone is saying. She asks Jhanak to think about herself instead.

Jhanak says Rishi wants to divorce Aditi and marry her. She knows he is trying to give her respect, but she is sure everyone will blame her for the divorce. She says people will question her character, even though she is not that kind of girl. She also fears that her mother will be dragged into the matter because of her.
Sanjhbati tells Jhanak not to think that way. Jhanak says her mother, Nutan, suffered a lot because of Arshi. Sanjhbati replies that they cannot change the past and asks Jhanak to trust Rishi and think about her future. Jhanak says she is scared because Rishi made this decision too quickly. Sanjhbati disagrees and says Rishi thought carefully before deciding. Jhanak says Rishi is leaving his wife because of her, but Sanjhbati continues defending him.
Jhanak asks Sanjhbati how she would feel if another woman came between her and Dritimaan. She says Sanjhbati would be heartbroken and would naturally blame that woman. She says that is exactly what is happening to her because she is now being seen as the other woman. Sanjhbati says she should not think like that. Jhanak insists she answer the question. Sanjhbati says if that happened, she would leave Dritimaan instead of blaming the other woman. Jhanak sadly replies that society would still blame that woman.
Sanjhbati asks Jhanak to stop overthinking. Jhanak says women are always blamed by society. Sanjhbati reminds her that Rishi truly loves her and says she will never find a better man than him. Jhanak says she trusts Rishi and knows he is a good person, but she is worried he will not recover from the pain after the divorce. Sanjhbati says everyone once believed Rishi and Aditi were meant for each other, but one day everyone will also accept Jhanak.
Meanwhile, Rishi and Aditi wait for the lawyer. Rishi says he wants to talk to her, but before they can continue, the lawyer arrives and apologises for being late because another meeting delayed him. Aditi tells him they both want a mutual divorce because there is no point forcing a relationship when they no longer want to stay together. The lawyer says the process should be simple. Aditi replies that nothing about this situation is simple. She tells him she met Rishi when he was an ordinary man, long before he became a police officer, but in the end he only used and betrayed her.
Rishi tries to explain that things are not like that, but Aditi reminds him that he promised never to leave her. Now he wants to leave because he has fallen in love with someone else. Rishi quietly says he truly loved her. Aditi reminds him that she accepted him even after learning about his forced marriage to Jhanak. Later, he publicly declared his love for Jhanak, completely breaking her trust. Rishi says he had no other choice. Aditi tells the lawyer that Rishi never valued their marriage. Rishi admits he was grateful to have Aditi in his life.
The lawyer asks Rishi if he really loves someone else instead of his wife. Rishi admits that he loved Aditi. The lawyer asks both of them to think carefully before making such a big decision. Rishi wonders why he feels so much pain at this moment. He tells the lawyer there is no point continuing the marriage if Aditi no longer sees a future in it. Aditi immediately asks why he is making it sound like she is the one asking for the divorce when he was the one who first brought it up. The lawyer asks them both to calm down and discuss everything properly.
Aditi firmly says she cannot compromise anymore. The lawyer asks Rishi for a clear answer. Rishi says since Aditi does not want to continue the marriage, he also wants the divorce. Aditi reminds him once again that he started the divorce discussion, so he should not blame her now. Rishi sadly admits that he is the villain in this story. The lawyer tells them the next hearing will be held the following week and asks them to sign the divorce petition.
Aditi signs the divorce papers without hesitation. Rishi looks at the papers and starts thinking about everything. He knows his love for Jhanak is real, but he wonders if he is being unfair to Aditi. He remembers how Aditi always supported him, yet he is now ending their marriage because he unexpectedly fell in love with Jhanak. At the same time, he knows it would also be wrong to stay married to Aditi when his heart belongs to someone else. With a heavy heart, he signs the divorce petition.
After leaving the lawyer’s office, Rishi tells Aditi that he feels guilty and apologises for hurting her. Aditi says there is no point talking about it anymore. She tells him they will never speak again. Rishi says she is taking revenge on him. Aditi replies that she does not hate him, but she is deeply hurt and angry. Rishi says he has no anger towards her. Aditi tells him there is nothing left to say. She wishes him happiness with Jhanak and asks him never to hurt Jhanak the way he hurt her. Then she walks out of the family court.
Outside, Koushik asks Aditi what happened. She tells him Rishi has signed the divorce petition. Rishi watches them from a distance as Koushik angrily looks at him. Koushik holds Aditi’s hand and asks her to come with him for a walk. Rishi feels hurt seeing Aditi leave with someone else and silently wishes she would turn around and look at him just once.
Elsewhere, Arshi tells Aniruddh that she is happy because Koushik’s parents are coming to their house. When they arrive, everyone starts discussing Koushik and Aditi’s marriage. Arshi says they should wait until the divorce is finalised. However, Koushik’s mother says they should now focus on preparing for the Aashirvad ceremony.
