Unfortunate Love On Zee World Monday 24th August 2026 Update, Rishi opens up to Ayush about his troubled relationship with Lakshmi. He admits that Lakshmi is not completely responsible for the problems between them, as he has also made many mistakes. Rishi accepts his part in the mess and says he wants to make things right with Lakshmi.

Meanwhile, Jaya takes a dangerous step. She hits Maya on the head with a vase and carries her unconscious body to a bed. Jaya tries to convince herself that she has everything under control, but the situation quickly becomes difficult. When Garimacharya arrives, Jaya makes up a story and tells him that Maya is in the next room. He agrees, but later notices Maya’s head injury and feels that something is wrong. He warns Jaya about the bad signs surrounding the situation.
Rishi tells Ayush that he is ready to fix things with Lakshmi. He plans to confess his love to her and take seven Phere around the Lohri fire, promising to stay with her for seven lifetimes. Malishka overhears him and is clearly disturbed by what she hears. She starts thinking about her next move to create problems between Rishi and Lakshmi.
Elsewhere, Anushka decides to steal money and jewellery from the locker. She thinks she has escaped successfully, but Shalu enters and notices cash lying on the floor. She immediately suspects that a thief is around. Instead of confronting the person right away, Shalu pretends that she has not noticed anything and leaves the room, hoping the thief will come out.
Garimacharya continues to feel that something is wrong with Maya. He tells Jaya to call Neelam and leave quickly. Jaya tries to keep the situation under control, but Garimacharya’s doubts are growing.
At the same time, Malishka remains upset because Rishi only seems to care about Lakshmi. Her frustration continues to grow as she thinks about Rishi’s love for Lakshmi.
The priest gathers the Oberoi family for the Pooja. Harleen notices that Rishi and the others are missing. She asks Lakshmi to go and bring Rano, and Lakshmi agrees without knowing that danger is waiting for her.
Shalu returns to the room with a stick, ready to confront the thief. Anushka gets cornered and tries to hit Shalu with a vase. Shalu ducks, narrowly avoiding the attack, and falls to the floor. Even after the attack, she refuses to give up.
Lakshmi goes outside to look for Rano, but a security guard tells her that Anushka has entered the Oberoi mansion. Lakshmi is shocked and realizes that something is wrong. Rano finally arrives and starts talking to Lakshmi, unaware of the danger around them.
Neel hides nearby and takes the opportunity to attack Lakshmi. Just as he is about to stab her, Rishi gets a bad feeling and rushes to save her. When Neel hears Rishi calling out, he hides again. Rishi takes Lakshmi and Rano inside and increases the security around them, but Neel still manages to sneak into the house.
Meanwhile, Malishka reaches her breaking point. She locks herself in a room with a knife and thinks about ending her life because she believes Rishi and Lakshmi’s bond can never be broken. Kiran finds her just in time and stops her.
Malishka attempts to slit her wrist, but Kiran stops her and slaps her to bring her back to her senses. Kiran is shocked and asks if Malishka has lost her mind. Malishka says that she has gone mad because her obsession with Rishi has completely consumed her. She reveals that she overheard Rishi confessing his love for Lakshmi and says that all her dreams of being with him have been destroyed. Kiran tries to calm her and says that there is nothing serious between Rishi and Lakshmi, but Malishka refuses to believe her.
Shalu confronts Anushka and accuses her of being a thief. She even calls Anushka a gold digger. Anushka gets offended and insists that she is not a thief. She fires back at Shalu, and their argument becomes more heated.
Malishka tells Kiran that she would rather die than watch Rishi and Lakshmi take Phere around the Lohri fire. Kiran assures her that the Phere will not happen. When Malishka asks how she will stop them, Kiran suggests that if Lakshmi cannot walk, she will not be able to take the Phere. Malishka becomes hopeful after hearing the plan.
Shalu becomes tired of Anushka’s behaviour and threatens to expose her. Anushka refuses to let that happen. She picks up a vase and hits Shalu on the back of her head, leaving her unconscious. Anushka panics and assumes that she has killed Shalu. She calls Neel and tells him to take care of the body.
As the Lohri celebrations continue, Rishi looks at Lakshmi and decides that he will confess his love for her in front of everyone. Kiran and Malishka notice the moment and begin planning again. Malishka once again threatens to end her life if Rishi and Lakshmi take the Phere. Kiran is annoyed by her repeated threats, but secretly decides to stop the ceremony at any cost.
Kiran comes up with a dangerous plan. She decides to scatter glass pieces near the Lohri fire so that Lakshmi will not be able to walk. As Rishi and Lakshmi get ready for the Phere, Kiran deliberately drops the Pooja Thaal. She pretends to clean the area while secretly placing the glass pieces near the fire.
Lakshmi is about to step on the glass when Rishi suddenly calls out to her and stops her. Lakshmi looks at him and asks what he wants to say.
Meanwhile, Anushka is still convinced that she has killed Shalu and calls Neel to dispose of the body. Neel, however, gets distracted when he sees Varsha wandering around. Karishma approaches Varsha and asks what she is doing there. Varsha says that she is lost and needs directions to the Lohri celebrations. Karishma helps her and then leaves to continue with her own plans. Neel secretly follows Karishma because he becomes curious about her connection with Garimacharya.
The episode reaches its emotional moment when Rishi finally confesses his feelings to Lakshmi. In front of everyone, he tells her that she is his guiding light and the person who gives him comfort during his darkest moments. With complete honesty, Rishi tells Lakshmi that he loves her.
