Saras and Kumud On Starlife Thursday 30th January 2025 Update, Kumud senses Saras’s presence around her. Meanwhile, Saras, injured and lying on the road, calls for help and shouts Kumud’s name. Budhidhan’s daughter sees Saras and informs her driver about the wounded man. The driver suggests taking Saras home to help him.

At the Desai house, Kumud’s parents and Badimaa are heartbroken after Kumud’s departure. Badimaa remarks that Kumud took the house’s happiness with her but tries to console herself by saying they still have two daughters. Kumari approaches Badimaa, asking her to feed her. Guniyal expresses her longing to feed Kumud one last time and worries about how Kumud will adjust to her new life. Vidyachatur reassures her, saying their blessings will guide Kumud and prays that Saras does not cross Kumud’s path again. Budhidhan’s daughter decides to take Saras home and call a doctor to treat him.
Kumud, holding Saras’s payal, cries as she reminisces about him. At Budhidhan’s house, his wife welcomes Kumud with rituals. She performs their tilak and asks Kumud to kick the kalash and enter the house. Kumud steps into her new home while Saras, being unconscious, is taken to the guest room. Kumud briefly turns around but sees no one. Budhidhan’s daughter informs her mother about Saras’s accident, promising to share more details later.
At the Desai house, Kumari and Kusum are emotional as they miss Kumud. Kusum expresses concern over Kumud adjusting to her new environment and blames Saras for everything. Kumari agrees and says they should forget him. Meanwhile, Saras is being treated by a doctor at Budhidhan’s house. Budhidhan’s daughter checks on Saras, and the doctor assures her that he will recover but might need further medical attention at the hospital.
In her room, Kumud is left alone, still holding the payal and crying. A servant brings her luggage and leaves. As she unpacks her belongings, Kumud finds a white cloth and recalls her moments with Saras. She smiles briefly before remembering Saras’s harsh words about ending their relationship, which makes her cry again. Kumud tells herself that he was never hers and decides to move forward with her new life.
Kumud places the white cloth in her cupboard and sits on the bed, waiting for her groom with her ghunghat covering her. At 2 a.m., Pramad enters the room, drunk. Kumud is startled as he lifts her ghunghat. She smells the alcohol on him and looks away. Pramad smirks and tells her they need to understand each other as they are now together. He pulls her out of the bed, makes her sit in the car, and drives recklessly.
Pramad stops the car and reveals his true feelings. He confesses that he was forced to marry her against his wishes and does not see her as his wife. He harshly tells her that she is nothing but a waste item to him and orders her to stay silent and never question him. Pramad declares that she will only be his father’s daughter-in-law but never his wife. Kumud is shocked and speechless.
As Kumud steps back in fear, she almost falls, but Pramad catches her. He warns her not to retreat, as it will only create more problems. With a cruel laugh, he wishes her a “happy wedding” and leaves Kumud stunned and speechless.
Pramad enters his room and, still in his drunken state, throws a pillow at Kumud’s face, ordering her to sleep. He nonchalantly goes to bed, leaving Kumud in a shocked state. She sits on the ground, crying, and eventually falls asleep there.
The next morning, someone knocks on the door. Kumud wakes up, tidies herself, and opens the door to find her mother-in-law standing there. Her mother-in-law praises her and introduces Kanika, who used to take care of Pramad. Kumud listens silently. Her mother-in-law asks her to prepare tea for everyone and inquires about her first meeting with Pramad, asking if he spoke kindly to her. Kumud recalls Pramad’s harsh words but remains silent. Her mother-in-law reassures her, saying Pramad may have a bitter tongue but is kind at heart. She expresses her belief that Kumud can make Pramad a better person, as Budhidhan believes she can reconnect Pramad with his life. She encourages Kumud to improve Pramad’s life and tells her to get ready so she can show her the house. After she leaves, Kumud closes the door and looks at Pramad, thinking of her mother Guniyal’s words, and tears well up in her eyes.
Scene shifts to Vidyachatur:
Vidyachatur, busy with work, calls out for Kumud. Kusum steps in to help him, and he doesn’t realize it’s her at first. When he notices, he smiles and tells her that Kumud will always remain in his heart, despite leaving the house. Kusum expresses concern that Kumud might be worrying about them. Vidyachatur blesses her and smiles as Kusum promises to join him at the factory shortly.
Scene shifts to Budhidhan’s house:
Budhidhan discusses social issues with his daughter, who suggests that he is the most eligible candidate for the mayoral position. He then asks his wife about Pramad’s whereabouts. Kumud enters, elegantly dressed, and is praised for her beauty. She greets Budhidhan, who reminds her that she does not need blessings because of her strong will. Kumud is introduced to Budhidhan’s daughter. When asked about Pramad, his wife says he might still be resting as he was tired. Budhidhan’s daughter decides to check on their guest. She mentions to Kumud that they found a wounded man on the road, brought him home, and are taking care of him.
Scene shifts to Badimaa:
Badimaa is missing Kumud deeply. Kumari teases her, saying she loved Kumud more than her. Badimaa acknowledges that Kumud brought happiness to everyone and hopes she finds joy in Budhidhan’s house. Kumari suggests calling Kumud, but Badimaa hesitates, explaining that it wouldn’t look good on her first day there. Kumari insists, but Yash’s mother intervenes, agreeing with Badimaa. She advises that calling Kumud today might not sit well with her in-laws. Eventually, Kumari gives in to their reasoning.
Scene shifts to Saras:
Saras wakes up murmuring Kumud’s name. Budhidhan’s daughter checks on him and explains how she found him injured and brought him home. Saras, still weak, tries to get up, saying he needs to leave. She stops him, reminding him that he’s too weak and cannot go without her permission. Saras reluctantly lies back down to rest.
Scene shifts back to Badimaa:
Kumari again insists on calling Kumud, but Guniyal agrees with Yash’s mother that they should wait until tomorrow. Badimaa concurs, emphasizing that Kumud might be busy and that her in-laws might not appreciate a call so soon.
Scene shifts to Saras:
Saras continues murmuring Kumud’s name in his restless state. Meanwhile, Kumud’s mother-in-law shows her the guest room. As Kumud walks by, she learns that the guest room houses the injured man brought in the previous day. She tries to look inside but doesn’t see Saras. Instead, she is introduced to a servant and volunteers to cook something. Her mother-in-law agrees, calling it a shubh (auspicious) gesture. Kumud heads to the kitchen.
