Kumud, maintaining her composure, reminds Kusum that she is now in her sasural, where she cannot speak as freely as she did at home. Kusum then brings up Saras, but Kumud cuts her off, telling her to forget everything. Kusum asks if she is crying, but Kumud denies it, making excuses. However, deep inside, she is reminded of Pramad’s cruel behavior.
Kusum assumes that Kumud has settled into her new life. Kumud hesitates before responding, but before she can say more, she quickly ends the call, claiming that Pramad is calling her. Once off the phone, she breaks down, wondering how she can reveal the truth about her situation. She reflects on her fate, lamenting how she keeps crossing paths with Saras despite everything.
Pramad enters the room, taunting her about her silence and questioning why she hasn’t told her parents the truth. He cruelly reminds her that he doesn’t care whether she stays or leaves. As he drinks, he mockingly repeats her name, blaming her for his father treating him like a dog. He angrily states that his father forced this marriage upon him, something he will never accept. In a fit of rage, he wipes the sindoor from her maang, declaring that this relationship is nothing but a burden.
Pramad then speaks ill of Saras, which enrages Kumud. She sternly warns him to stop, refusing to hear anything against Saras. However, Pramad becomes furious, reminding her that she has no right to question or answer him. He throws her phone and violently pushes her. As she stares at him in shock, he warns her not to look him in the eye and demands she lower her gaze.
He raises his hand to slap her, but she instinctively steps back and walks out of the room. Pramad carelessly collapses onto the bed.
As Kumud steps outside, she is startled to see Saras standing there. He looks at her with concern, but she tries to mask her pain. Saras watches Pramad drunkenly lying on the bed and tries to talk to Kumud, but she coldly tells him to leave. She insists that she and her husband want to be alone. Without another word, she shuts the door, leaving Saras standing outside, devastated.
Inside, Kumud breaks down, feeling trapped. After some time, she opens the door again, only to find that Saras is gone.
The song Kuch Na Kahe plays in the background as Saras walks out of the house in the pouring rain. His heart aches as he recalls how Kumud shut the door on him. Meanwhile, Kumud sits in her room, crying, while Saras bitterly accepts his fate. He tells himself that he has received his punishment—his Kumud now belongs to someone else. Yet, he cannot bear to see her suffering like this.
Kumud picks up her broken phone, remembering that it was Saras’s first gift to her. She whispers that she is exhausted from loving and hating him, asking him to leave her alone.
Outside, Saras pleads with fate, wishing for one last moment with Kumud to apologize. His head throbs, and as he touches his forehead, he sees blood. He bitterly realizes that his wounds—both physical and emotional—will never heal. With tears streaming down his face, he vows to love Kumud until his last breath. Overwhelmed by regret, he slaps himself, collapsing onto the ground as he cries out her name in agony.
The next morning, Guniyal speaks to Vidyachatur, sensing that he is hiding something. He tells her that he needs to meet someone, admitting that he has been feeling uneasy since Chandresh Bhai’s visit. They recall how they only met Budhidhan before agreeing to Kumud’s marriage and never truly got to know Pramad. Vidyachatur expresses his concern for Kumud’s well-being, deciding to find out the truth himself. Guniyal agrees, and he sets off.
Meanwhile, Kusum happily announces that her exams are over and that she plans to rest. The family shares a lighthearted moment before Vidyachatur leaves.
Scene shifts to Kumud:
Kumud wakes up feeling unsettled. She heads to Saras’s room, only to find it empty. Panic sets in as she recalls the previous night’s events. She wonders if Saras has left not just her sight, but the house itself.
Kumud looks around for Saras, fearing he might have left the house. Tears well up in her eyes as she hears the sound of the Shank. She tells herself, We have no relation now, but the wounds in my heart must heal. You are gone, so I can start a new life with a blank slate. Meanwhile, Saras plays the Shank, deep in thought. He tells himself, I have no right over you anymore, but I just want to apologize once. He prays to his Lord.
Scene shifts to Guniyal:
Guniyal feels weak and lazy. Yash’s mother taunts her, but Badimaa defends her, pointing out that Yash does nothing while Vidyachatur provides for the entire family. The two women argue until Guniyal intervenes, offering to prepare food. Yash’s mother storms out in tears. Badimaa, however, remains concerned about the difference between Yash and Pramad. Guniyal agrees, recalling how Chandresh Bhai’s words raised doubts about Pramad. She wonders what he meant. Badimaa regrets that Vidyachatur didn’t think twice before finalizing Kumud’s marriage.
Kusum enters, announcing that she will cook today. The atmosphere lightens as they all share a laugh.
Scene shifts to Palak:
Kumud overhears Palak talking to Sid about his studies and Pramad. She helps Sid with his lessons, assuring him she’ll return after finishing work in the kitchen. Meanwhile, Kumud’s mother-in-law is busy in the kitchen with Murakh Das. Saras enters, making Kumud tense. He brings prasad from the Mandir and offers it to everyone. When he approaches Kumud, she refuses to take it, making an excuse. Saras notices her rejection and feels hurt. Without a word, he leaves the kitchen.
Scene shifts to Kusum:
Kusum prepares food and asks everyone to taste it. She mentions her plans to visit the Karkhana. Badimaa encourages Kumari to learn from Kusum. Meanwhile, Kusum senses that something is wrong with Kumud.
Scene shifts to Palak:
Palak scolds her husband, Inkesh, in front of Saras, then insists that Kumud and Pramad should be present at the upcoming press conference. She assigns Inkesh some tasks before sending him away. Turning to Saras, she asks what’s troubling him. He inquires about Pramad, but Palak cryptically tells him he will find out soon.
As they discuss politics and social work, Saras offers a suggestion that, unknowingly, mirrors his feelings for Kumud. Palak listens carefully and eventually agrees with him.
Scene shifts to Kumud:
The next morning, Kumud sings the bhajan Man Mohana in a sweet voice. Saras hears her and steps out of his room, searching for her. When he finally sees her, he smiles, lost in admiration. (Perhaps regretting what he lost—how foolish to let her go!) Kumud turns and meets his gaze. They share an intense eye-lock. (Just hug him already, Kumud!)
But their moment is interrupted by Kumud’s mother-in-law. (Was she really needed here?) She praises Kumud’s singing and asks Saras to take Aarti and prasad before finally leaving. (Thankfully, she didn’t linger!) Now alone, Saras extends his hands for prasad. (He looks so adorable!) However, instead of giving it to him, Kumud asks Murakh Das to do so. She then walks away. (That must have stung, Saras!) Saras silently takes the Aarti from Murakh Das.
Later, in the kitchen, Kumud struggles to recall everyone’s food preferences. Murakh Das helps her but admits he doesn’t know what the guest, Naveen Chandra, likes. Once he leaves, Kumud murmurs, I know Saras better than anyone.
At breakfast, Budhidhan invites Saras to join them. As Saras is about to eat, he glances at Kumud. Budhidhan asks Kumud to sit and eat with them. She hesitantly takes a seat beside Saras. Then, Budhidhan asks Saras to taste what Kumud has cooked. Before Saras can respond, Kumud quickly interjects, He can’t eat it—it’s spicy. Everyone stares at her in surprise. She covers up, making an excuse. Budhidhan insists Saras should at least try it.
Saras, realizing that Kumud still cares for him, thinks, She still loves me… please forgive me.
