Adam received a call about a CCTV footage from 8 years ago. He had been investigating how they were able to acquire Michael. The video captured their former employee bringing Michael to his house. Adam left the house at 2 am and when Lucy woke up, he was not there. Lucy found out that Adam left in the night and assumed that he went to Kai’s house.
Lucy got Kai’s new address from Dana. She went there to look for Adam but both Jia and Kai told her that Adam was not there. Kai said that she had stopped looking for Adam’s attention and he was probably cheating on Lucy with another woman. Adam called Kai at that time and Kai told him to communicate with his wife because she was harassing them. Lucy tried to call Adam after he got off he phone with Kai but he rejected her call.
Lucy was on her way to work when she received a call from Carol. Adam had called her to ask about the incident and Carol confirmed everything. When Lucy walked into her office, she found Adam waiting there. He already knew that it was true Lucy had paid Harry in exchange for Jia’s child.
He was mad that Lucy could trade his grandson like a cheap doll. He therefore said that everything between them was over and she was going to lose everything including the company. Dana arrived during the argument and claimed that she did not know anything.
Gab listened in on the argument and recorded everything. She gave it to Amanda, who decided it was time to introduce her son to Adam.
Lucy drank at the office and called Carol to blame her for everything. Carol said that Lucy was at fault for because she was the one who decided to buy Michael. Lucy got furious and said that their friendship was over. Dana brought Lucy home because she was drank and they were both shocked to find out that Adam had gotten his things from the house.
Lucy was worried that Adam meant what he said about ending things with her. Manny told her not to worry because Adam would reconsider things once his anger subsided.
Amanda went to see Adam to tell him that Gab was his son. Adam was shocked but agreed to take a DNA test. Amanda brought Gab to him and they had samples taken for the test. Gab was worried but Amanda told her that things would go as planned.
Jia helped David and Patrick with a project and they asked her to work with them. Jia refused the offer and continued to apply for jobs in other companies. She got rejected numerous times until she began to suspect that someone was blocking her employment. She received a call and a former classmate offered her a job because Jia had helped her when they were in college. She also told Jia that an email from Dragon Empire was circulating in the industry, hence why she could not find work.
