Between You And Me on zee one Monday 31st July 2023 update, Akhilesh and Ira are on their way home. Bhajans are playing in the car. Akhilesh smiles. Diwali is so different. Bhajans are aarti’s play everywhere all the time. This is so peaceful. The car breaks down. He notices the flat tyre. Ira steps down as well. Akhilesh sits down to change the tyre. She asks him if he will be able to do it. Do you need my help? He says you always help me. Please see if you can find a bottle of water from somewhere. She thinks Akhilesh feels she has helped him always. Truth is, I have always caused him harm. Akhilesh changes the tyre.

Ira buys a water bottle. She is worried thinking about Akhilesh’s first operation. He had held my throat back then. I wonder what he will do to me if I tell him about this operation. Akhilesh hears a Bollywood song and starts dancing. He teases the ladies passing from there. He thinks to change asap as his clothes are too dull.
Ira decides to tell the truth to Akhilesh. He must know everything. I don’t mind the consequences. The shopkeeper thinks her to be mad (seeing her talking to herself). Akhilesh isn’t near the car by the time Ira returns to that spot. Is he back in that flirty mode again? She starts looking for him. He asks her what happened. He has changed his clothes and eats a paan as he looks at her from top to toe. Who are you looking for? Is someone lost? She asks him what he is wearing. Where did you find them? He asks her if he isn’t looking handsome. She calls him fool but he praises himself. Have you lost your husband? She tells him that I am your wife. He kisses on her hand. Ira meets the same Baba yet again who says I told you that your life will change. She says I don’t need it. Give some antidote. He shakes his head. No one can save him now. Now he will explode! Even Bajrang Bali cannot help him now. Akhilesh returns to his normal avatar hearing Bajrang Bali’s name. Baba walks away. Akhilesh asks Ira what she has made him wear. I sent you to get water and you made me wear this? I look so stupid. He coughs. I am also eating paan? Where are my clothes? She tells him not to roam alone. It can be dangerous. She follows him.
A guy asks Ira why her car is parked in the middle of the car. She shifts it.
Akhilesh is on call with Ira. I am only going for a walk. Why do you have a problem with that? He ends the call. What has happened to her? She thinks as if I will eat everyone outside! His behaviour changes the moment he notices a young girl in a short dress. He flirts with her. He tries to get close and kisses her on her cheek on the pretext of forecasting her future. He takes her to a corner. They both dance on Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast song. A guy is passing by from there. His ringtone is Hanuman Chalisa. Akhilesh gets back to his senses. He pushes the lady aside. What were you doing? She says it was you who was doing it. He says I have a wife and two kids at home. I don’t do anything like this. Don’t come after me. He leaves.
Ira finds Akhilesh. Are you fine? Did someone slap you? He denies. I felt like slapping her though! What kind of women are in this city? She wasn’t willing to leave me! I think it is because of my roadside clothes. Let’s go home. I want to change. They both sit in the car.
Akhilesh was about to step on the rangoli but stops himself. What is happening to me on Diwali? Why isn’t a diya lit here? It is because of these clothes. What will people think about me? Your choice is like this. It does not suit a father to wear such clothes. He goes to change. Ira thinks that she will be scolded for his mistakes now. I must find a solution to this problem. Pushpa goes to get something special for Rita. Mishri thinks who has locked Akhilesh inside. She unlocks the door. He asks did you lock the door. She says don’t know. He says maybe Ira did this, she is making me weird clothes and locked me, what happened to her. She asks him to come and meet her class teacher Rita. Pushpa asks Rita to have ghee laddoos. Rita says no, it will put on weight. Devina says you can get exotic vegs for her. Pushpa asks what. Devina says I will teach you. Mishri introduces Akhilesh. He asks how are you, please sit.
Rita says I m fine. He says Mishri said you wanted to talk about children’s day. Rita says yes, its a surprise for kids. Akhilesh asks Mishri to see what Pushpa is doing. He asks what’s the surprise. Rita says we planned to make children’s parents perform this time. Her saree pallu flies off. Akhilesh gets shocked and stares at her. Apne deewane ka….plays…. He gets flirting. He says I can dance on your fingers if you say, do you want to test my talent. She asks what can you do. He says lets go upstairs, I will show a demo. He stares at her back. Tune maari entriyaan….plays… He dances. He takes her to room. She asks him to say what can he do. He locks the door and says I can do anything. He flirts again. He holds her close. Ira says Bajrangi is useless, how long will I lock Akhilesh like this. Mishri says I was looking for you. Ira says I went out to shop, what happened. Pushpa says Mishri’s school teacher has come. Ira asks did she come home, where is she. Pushpa says she was sitting here, where did she go. Mishri says maybe she went to talk. Ira thinks oh no, Akhilesh may be…. Akhilesh says I will take you to ride in heaven. He falls down on bed. Remote button plays some bhajan. Rita scolds him and goes. She sees Ira and says your husband is such a cheap man. Akhilesh gets normal and thinks how did I come here. Rita asks how can he do this with his daughter’s teacher, what will children learn, say something. Pushpa asks what are you saying, what did Akhilesh do.
Rita says Akhilesh took me to room and then he ….. She tells everything. Pushpa, Devina and Ira get shocked. Pushpa covers Mishri’s ears. She laughs and says why are you making us aprils fool. Devina says Akhilesh is so good valued that he can’t do this with his wife too. Rita says why don’t you believe me, he touched me and talked cheap things. Akhilesh comes and asks what are you saying, are you not ashamed, my wife, daughter and family are here. Rita asks am I lying, you have no talent than talking such cheap things. Ira also scolds Rita and takes her to the room. Pushpa asks what happened. Akhilesh asks why will I do this. Ira says please Akhilesh doesn’t know his medical condition, don’t create a scene, just leave. Rita says fine. Ira says sorry. She scolds Rita for blaming such a decent man, he is like Ram ji, get out. Rita says disgusting and goes.
Akhilesh asks Mishri does such teachers teach you, I will stop her and we will clear the matter, she is blaming me.
