Anupama breaks down as she remembers Rahi’s accusations. She looks at Anuj’s picture and asks if he heard what Rahi said to her. Thinking about Rahi’s harsh words, Anupama becomes emotional. She says she does not regret slapping Rahi this time because her daughter has misbehaved with her many times before. Anupama recalls that Rahi behaved badly in the past too, but she chose to forgive her. However, this time, Rahi crossed the limit by speaking so badly about her.

Anupama begs Anuj to return and hold her hand in front of the world, telling everyone not to trouble her. She asks him to come back, warning that she might otherwise begin to believe he never loved her. Anuj appears in her imagination and comforts her, but Anupama is shocked when he suddenly disappears. She thanks him for always being her shadow and helping her believe in herself again.
Anupama admits that she cannot break down in front of other people because they will judge her. She believes that Anuj is the only person who truly understands her tears. She then promises to fulfil his dream.
Meanwhile, Anil asks Vasundhara if she stayed awake all night and urges her to put an end to the matter. However, Vasundhara says she cannot forget the insult she suffered at the hands of the Shahs and blames Anupama for everything. Gautam questions Anupama’s character, but Prem makes it clear that although he is angry with her, nobody has the right to question her character. He firmly shuts Gautam down.
Khyati also supports Anupama, which makes Vasundhara question whether she is blindly following her. Khyati reminds Vasundhara of how she allowed Parag to meet his friends in London. She also points out that Shruti, who was in a live-in relationship with Anuj, was welcomed into their home. Khyati asks why Vasundhara keeps taunting only her and Anupama.
Rahi tells them not to mention Anupama’s name because it disgusts her. Khyati warns Rahi not to lose her peace of mind because someone is encouraging her anger. She also tells Rahi that she might eventually lose her mother because of her behaviour.
Meanwhile, Digvijay decides to leave. Anupama encourages him to stay, explaining that if he leaves, people might believe he had bad intentions. She makes it clear that she will fulfil Saavi and Anuj’s dream with or without his support. Anupama insists that nothing will distract her from her mission and that she is ready to move forward on her own if necessary. She tells Digvijay that the decision to stay or leave is entirely his.
Shruti later speaks to Khyati and assures her that as long as she is around, Rahi will never lose her mother. Shruti explains that she lived with Anuj because she hoped they would eventually get married. She then suggests that Anupama living with Digvijay could mean one of two things: either their relationship is about to begin, or it has already started. Khyati is shocked by Shruti’s words.
Back at the Shah house, Kinjal, Mahi, Ansh and Ishani stop Hasmuk from cleaning. Hasmuk explains that he can clean the dirt in the house but cannot clean the dirty minds of the people around him. Pakhi and Paritosh complain that Anupama never does anything for them, yet Hasmuk continues to support her. Their words make Hasmuk angry.
Leela asks Hasmuk to speak to Digvijay and convince him to return to where he came from. However, Hasmuk refuses, saying he will not stop either Anupama or Digvijay from making their own decisions.
Meanwhile, both Anupama and Rahi struggle with their emotions. Digvijay tries to comfort Anupama, while Rahi tells Prem that she can never be Anupama’s priority.
Digvijay suggests that Rahi might be hurt because Anupama slapped her in front of the Kotharis and Prem. Anupama admits that she lost control after hearing Rahi’s accusations. She cannot understand how a daughter could speak so badly about her own mother, especially when that mother loves her so deeply.
