Pakhi and Paritosh then question Anupama, asking why she always brings shame to the family. Anupama defends herself against their accusations. Meanwhile, Shruti thinks that Rahi will face problems because of Anupama. She taunts Anupama for replacing Anuj with Digvijay and argues that Indian society does not accept a man and a woman living together. Shruti adds that nobody in the United States questioned why Anuj stayed with her. Anupama proudly says that she is an Indian daughter and asks Shruti not to drag Anuj into the matter.
Anupama then reveals that Anuj had already met Digvijay in the United States and invested in Saavi’s café. She explains that she is only trying to fulfil Anuj’s dream. However, Rahi refuses to let Anupama hide behind Anuj and decides to confront Digvijay. She asks him why he is using Anupama for his café, while Anupama tries to defend him. Meanwhile, Vasundhara tells Gautam that Rahi is just like her mother, but she likes her more when she turns against Anupama.
Rahi insults Anupama, prompting Digvijay to warn her that she cannot disrespect her own mother. He then reveals that Shruti has been telling the wrong story about her relationship with Anuj. Digvijay explains that Anuj never gave Shruti false hope and never replaced Anupama with another woman. Shruti is left shocked by his revelation.
Disgusted by the family’s shallow thinking, Digvijay questions their attitude. Leela asks him why he wants to open his café near their house if he considers them all to be bad people. Prem then accuses Anupama of being jealous of him. He claims that she cannot stand seeing him succeed, which is why she cancelled his licence and is now opening a café to prove that she is better than him. Anupama reminds Prem that she has already explained that the decision was not hers alone, as two other men were also present during the inspection.
