Zee One is an English-Bollywood channel in South Africa showcasing bollywood content dubbed in English.
Zee One channel is dedicated to showcasing a wide selection of family-friendly programming such as award-winning series, lifestyle/food, reality, and highly acclaimed movies, which are dubbed in English.
Zee One Africa is a South African digital satellite television channel that showcases family dramas, celebrity dance shows, and movies from Star’s library of Bollywood movies adapted into English for African audiences.
Launched on 1st November 2021, the channel has proven to be one of the perfect competitors for Glow Tv & Openview’s very own eExtra.
HISTORY & FACTS
Zee One was a general entertainment channel in Germany, which was launched on July 28, 2016 in Germany. The station was a commercial free-to-air TV station with regular programming being interrupted by commercial breaks.
The channel ceased broadcast on May 31, 2020. Then a year after it closer, the channel was re launched in Africa with same name but different logo colour.
Zee One is considered a spin-off channel for Zee world since the channel is known for broadcasting series already shown on zee world.
