Anthony thinks about the time that Victor used to humiliate him for failing the bar exam repeatedly. Victor put Anthony under pressure until he ultimately passed the bar exam and became part of the company’s legal team. Anthony then said that no one should ever find out about what he had done to Victor.
Calvin’s court order was released and he was taken to the mental institution to receive his treatment. He was supposed to get better so that he could ultimately face his trial. Olivia was distraught after Calvin was taken away but Matilda told her that it was better to see him at the hospital than in prison.
Enzo didn’t take the situation well either and hence resulted to skipping class and drinking.
Obet went to see Arthur and told him the news that Raquel and Anthony had broken up. Arthur was glad to hear it but Obet said that he wasn’t that happy because Raquel was hurt. He also thought that it would be hard for Raquel to get over Anthony because they worked together. Arthur therefore said that they had to get rid of Anthony so that he couldn’t see Raquel anymore.
Joseph met up with Anthony and they talked about his break up with Raquel. Anthony said he hoped nothing would change between them. Joseph said he considered Anthony his second father so their relationship would not change.
Ernesto talked to Raquel at the office and asked her to go with Anthony to close the deal since she had better experience dealing with farmers. Raquel however declined and said that she had to stay to take care of the Franchise business. Ernesto also asked her if Anthony could be capable of stealing the company’s money but Raquel said that it would not be right for them to suspect Anthony.
Olivia met up with Dado to talk about Calvin’s case. Dado told Olivia that Calvin had never poisoned Victor. He explained that he had been watching Calvin that evening and saw him add poison to a glass but he was able to stop him by ‘accidentally’ spilling the drink. Olivia told him that he had to tell the police to get Calvin acquitted but Dado was a fugitive so he wouldn’t do it. He added that the police would not believe him and would think that he was trying to cover up for Calvin. He therefore told Olivia that they had to get the real murderer caught.
Olivia visited Calvin at the hospital and he asked her to tell Justine to visit her. Olivia said she would do it if it would make Calvin happy and decided to add her name to the list of people that were allowed to see him. She also asked Calvin to tell her what happened during the night of Victor’s death so that they could prove that he didn’t kill Victor. Calvin remembered everything, even the Dado spilling on of the drinks. He was however not able to keep track of the glass he had poisoned and it ultimately got to Victor when the waiters took it away.
After talking to Calvin, Olivia went to the police station to talk to Romeo and Alfonso. She told them that she was willing to cooperate with them in order to solve Victor’s case. She therefore asked them to look further into it even if Calvin had confessed to having poisoned Victor. She added that Calvin only had a little poison with him and it would not have been enough to kill Victor.
Joseph was at the station when he overheard Olivia talking to the police.
He decided to go visit Calvin at the hospital but the nurse told him that he was not on the list authorized to visit Calvin so he could not see him. She asked that he get authorization from Olivia.
Joseph went to the market to help out Matias and told him what happened. Matias told him that there was nothing they could do for Calvin now and asked that he let the authorities handle it.
Alfonso decided that Olivia was right and they decided to look into the evidence they had already gathered. They went to the company to review the CCTV footage of the day Victor died where they saw Anthony arguing with Victor. The video had no audio so they decided to go see Anthony and ask him what the argument was about. We ended as they arrived at his office.
