Kumari reflects on Ghuman’s earlier words encouraging her to fight for her love and run away to get married. Feeling tense, she calls Umesh, asking him to bring her father to the temple as she plans to marry him that day. Yash’s mother interrupts Kumari, urging her to get ready for Kumud’s engagement. Ghuman overhears Kumari’s conversation and praises her courage, subtly manipulating her emotions and encouraging her decision to marry Umesh. However, Ghuman secretly plots to create chaos through Kumari’s actions.
Kumud is getting ready for her engagement with help from Chandrika and Kusum. Kumari, distracted by her own plans, joins them hurriedly. Saras calls Kumud, teasing her about skipping the engagement and marrying him directly. Kumud insists on following the proper steps. Ghuman, trying to assert control, offers Kumud a saree to wear, but Kumud opts for the one Saras gifted her. Ghuman, clearly upset, gives the saree to Kumari instead, who accepts it despite Kusum’s disapproval.
Saras, on the other hand, is preparing for the engagement. Danny and Sunny tease him about his transformation, noting how love has changed him. They gift him a perfume, joking about its effect on Kumud. Saras, blushing, shoos them out of the room and applies the perfume, thinking about Kumud.
Guniyal and Badimaa share a heartfelt moment as they prepare for the engagement. Guniyal grows emotional, thinking about Kumud’s upcoming marriage and departure from the house. Badimaa encourages her to stay strong for Kumud, emphasizing the importance of not letting her emotions hold Kumud back.
The engagement festivities begin with guests arriving. Kumari, dressed in a saree, looks tense. Ghuman continues her subtle manipulation, wishing Kumari luck for her secret plans. Danny notices Kumari’s nervousness but gets distracted by the ongoing preparations.
Saras eagerly waits for Kumud, messaging her to meet him before the engagement. Kumud, busy with Chandrika, reads his messages but insists they meet during the ceremony. Their playful banter continues through texts, with Saras trying to convince her for a quick meeting. Kumud finally agrees to meet him for a minute, leaving both of them smiling at the thought of their reunion.
Saras waits near the pool for Kumud, lost in thoughts. Soon, he hears the sound of her payal and turns to see her, wearing the saree he had gifted her. The melody of Kuch Na Kahe plays as he gazes at her, mesmerized. Overwhelmed, he turns away, bowing his head. Kumud questions him, “You called me here, and now you’re not even looking at me. Why?” Saras replies, “I’m afraid of myself. If I see you, I won’t be able to let you go.”
He notices their shadows reflected on the ground. “Come closer, Kumud,” he says softly. Picking up a diya, he blows it out. When Kumud asks why, he responds, “Because even the moon is staring at you.” He guides her to look up, directing her to move closer as he admires her shadow. He reaches out to touch her shadow, and Kumud closes her eyes, feeling the depth of his emotions.
Kumud smiles, interrupting the moment. “Enough now. Don’t say anything more. If you do, I won’t be able to stay away from you. When I see myself through your eyes, I feel even more beautiful.” She urges him to look at her and complete the moment. Saras turns to face her, and their eyes meet as Mann Ke Dor plays in the background. She asks him, “Am I more beautiful, or is my shadow?” Saras replies, “Your shadow was mesmerizing, but I didn’t want to break it. I only wanted to admire it.”
He takes her hand and leads her to the moon’s reflection in the water. “Kumud, let’s take a vow,” he says. They sit together and touch the reflection. Saras promises, “As the moon stays constant in the sky, I promise to be with you always.” Moved to tears, Kumud replies, “I promise to love you until my last breath.” They exchange a passionate look, sealing their vows with silent understanding.
The guests begin arriving at the engagement ceremony. Badimaa and Guniyal welcome them warmly. Vidyachatur asks Guniyal to bring Kumud. When Kumud enters, dressed in her saree, everyone is captivated by her beauty. Saras can’t take his eyes off her. Vidyachatur remarks, “It feels like I’m seeing you for the first time.” Laxminandan adds proudly, “You’re not just seeing Kumud, you’re seeing my bahu. She’s truly one in a million.”
Kumud seeks blessings from everyone, including Laxminandan, who warmly says, “Be happy and come home soon to light up our lives.” Danny teases Ghuman, saying, “Mom doesn’t like anyone touching her feet. She prefers hugs.” Ghuman reluctantly hugs Kumud, struggling to hide her displeasure. Laxminandan announces the start of the engagement rituals.
Saras turns to Kumud and asks, “Miss Kumud, will you marry me?” She smiles and replies, “We’ve already promised to be together, haven’t we?” Laxminandan hands Saras the ring, and he gently slides it onto Kumud’s finger. The guests erupt in applause, and Kusum teases Kumud. Danny announces the engagement officially, and everyone celebrates. Ghuman, however, discreetly signals Kumari to leave, and Kumari sneaks out.
Outside, Danny steps out to find the band for the engagement but notices Kumari heading somewhere. Suspicious, he follows her. Meanwhile, Saras receives a call, and his expression changes to shock. He quickly leaves, with Kumud noticing his sudden departure.
Kumari arrives at the temple, meeting her father. “Am I doing the right thing?” she asks nervously. Her father assures her, “If you were wrong, I wouldn’t be here to bless you.” Kumari expresses her wish for Badimaa’s presence, and her father promises to take her to Badimaa after the marriage. The ceremony begins, with the priest reciting mantras as Umesh prepares to tie the mangalsutra.
Just then, Saras arrives with Danny and stops the wedding. Kumari is stunned. Saras steps forward and declares, “Kumari, what are you doing?” Her father intervenes, asking, “Who are you?” Saras replies firmly, “I’m her brother.” Her father retorts, “I am her real father.” Tension fills the air as Saras tries to protect Kumari while confronting her father.
