In an interview September last year, Pooja Banerjee of kumkum Bhagya / twist Of Fate fame reveals his pregnancy and on Saturday 12th March 2022, Pooja’s brother, Neil Banerjee told Times Of India, “We are in Nagpur right now, and we are extremely thrilled with this new addition to our family. Everyone in our family is in celebratory mode. Baby’s father and grandmother are by Pooja’s side in the hospital. We too can’t wait to see the baby and shall visit her soon.” Neil said that the baby was a girl and was born on Saturday morning in Mumbai.
Last month speaking with Time Of India, Pooja had said, “We have decided that after I deliver our baby, we will travel to Delhi to be with our extended family. I think having so many people around would be a blessing. Everyone will shower the baby with love. I have been brought up in a nuclear family so this would be really exciting.” She had added that she will resume work after that.

Pooja Banerjee was born on 8 November 1991 in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh to Neil Banerjee and Poornima Banerjee. She has a brother, Akash Banerjee. Though she belongs to a Bengali Hindu family, she has primarily spent her childhood in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
Banerjee completed her schooling from Centre point school and college from Hislop College, Nagpur. She pursued her graduation in Bachelor of Commerce and completed her post graduation in Masters in English literature. She has also represented Maharashtra at the national level swimming tournaments. She swam the 5 km sea race in the Arabian Sea and 14 km river race in river Hooghly. Banerjee has also played a swimmer, Rewa Mathur, in Swim Team.
