Raja stops the car saying her hostel arrived. She get off then turns to see her dupatta stuck with car seat. She tries to remove it, Raja finally helps with it. It gets torn. Raja calls her it luck that she got a chance to sit in his car.

The next morning, Bari Rani Maa asks for breakfast. She was getting late for meeting, these days Raja’s have to be in time. Jeewan comes there calling her BRM, time stays for his father even today. He boasts about Kaal, he will be victorious even if he doesn’t participate in votes. He takes money from Kaal. Amrita brings the breakfast, Kaal asks about Raaj. Bindu cheers watching Raaj as he enters, she inquires why he is upset, is everything fine? Kaal says either thieves or owls stay outside, who he is. Raja says even moon stay outside, he could have said so. Kaal says moon has nothing of his own, it takes its light from moon as well. Bari Rani Maa stops Kaal from hitting him with a stick. Bindu demands where he had been all night long, Raja says he was at the incarceration point, he dreamt Kaal had died and went there but… Kaal throw a glass at Raja that he holds.
In the college canteen the waiter serves Raja with tea. Raja’s friend say whenever he is upset he drinks such hot tea. Bindu was worried about what happened to him too. Rani walks in the café, Raja recognizes her foot steps and slaps the saucer on the table. One of Raja’s friend taunt over Rani’s attitude, Sir went to help this girl yesterday night and she has been staring at him. Bindu complains if he went to help the girl who slapped him and got him out of the college almost. She goes to Rani and throw each chair she tries to get over. Bindu asks Rani if college people wear shows in the neck and tie in foot how they would appear to be, everything should be at their place.
She must remember that people like her have no place in this canteen specially when Raja is here, she must stay away from Raja. If she dares come near to him, she will have to lose her shadow as well. She points at a bench at the corner and asks her to go there, join her gang. Rani leaves without responding. Meenu stops Rani in the corridor and offers her Sudha’s hand made Parathas. Bindu had reached there too, Raja’s friend snatch all lunch boxes there. They taunt over them to be hungry forever. They call them all to Sir who is calling Facha – Fresher plus Bacha. Meenu holds Rani behind. They all get together, Bindu announces that everyone would sing a song in favor of Sir. Raja was sitting on a chair above the table.
A boy sings for Raja in an unmusical sound, Raja recalls listening to the same song in the car with Rani. He stops the boy, his friend kicks him. Bindu gives the turn to Rani, Raja asks her to let go of her, else she will again cry and go with a complain to VP. They will kidnap her again and he once again would have to save her. Rani accepts the challenge. The VP arrive there. Rani reads the curt disgusting poetry. VP laugh. Rani openly challenges Raja to fight against him. Raja comes down the chair, Jeewan drops his bag of chips. He says he never thought it would have so much chili. Raja jumps down the table to confront Rani, and says she know cheap poetry as well. Rani says poetry is according to the subject. Bindu demands what people like them can even do, Rani qualifies they can work hard and support others as well. The question is, what they all are good for.
She is emotional and gets teary when a boy goes to school for first time, when an old man is working in scorching heat because she has a heart. She reached here on her own, while they are only here because of their families. She turns to leave, Raja claps appreciating her lecture. He repeats, she worn the scholarship, came here with her hard work, went to forest; if he is here because of his family she is also studying over the money of his family. If she has such self-respect, she must pay the 1000 rupees of scholarship and win this seat. He leaves with his gang.
Jeewan comes to Rani, she promises Rani to help her take a revenge from Raaj. An enemy’s enemy is also a friend. Rani says that Sir isn’t her enemy, she is poor and spend everything carefully including time as well. She leaves. Jeewan thinks if she pumps Rani abit more, she will bring tears into Raaj’s eyes.
Meenu and Rani speak about a camp, Rani tells Meenu she has no money to pay for registration. The VP meet them and assures Rani her expenses will be held by the college. Raja calls from behind that Rani is a beggar. He narrates his friend from London wrote him the beggars there got really sophisticated. Now he can also write the same. Bindu insults Rani too. Rani replies she won this scholarship and has worked hard for it, she isn’t like the one who spent three years in the same class. She assures she will pay her registration by herself. Raja taunts she doesn’t have enough blood to get Rs. 10. Rani tells him one needs determination not blood to do something. She accepts his challenge to pay her fees in next week.
In the palace, Bari Rani Maa tell the ministers she realizes one of the royals must be elected to lead the poor people, who are just like cattle. She nominates someone young to lead Amirkot, she announces Rajveer’s name. Kaal seconds Bari Rani Maa calling Raja as worthy of it. Bari Rani Maa thinks this is now time to enjoy the fruits of what she sew for years.
Rani searches her bag. Meenu comes there narrating a story that there was a boy in her class Sattu. Sattu always promised to bring her moons and stars and when one day she demanded her for a bulb for her room he had no money. She advises Rani not to be that Sattu. Where she would bring money for fees. Rani recalls Raaj Mata handing her some money while she left. It was enough to pay for registration.
Kaal offers Raja a drink, he tell Raja that Bari Rani Maa nominated him for the next election. Raja asks why he didn’t nominate Jeewan. Kaal tells him he is his elder son, Raja calls himself a legitimate son. Raja demands five thousand rupees.
Kaal hands him a bundle, he heads to leave. Kaal stops him, Raja complains had he stopped him ten years ago it would have been fruitful, now he has moved away from him. He will not participate for this election. Kaal beats Raja with his stick, Raja stands still while the stick finally breaks. Raja sadly says the stick that could be his strength in old age has been broken now. Kaal goes to sip his drink, while Bari Rani Maa comes to Raja. Raja leaves the palace not wanting to speak to Kaal.
Rani comes to café with Meenu, a waiter breaks another cup but the owner takes his apron suspending him. The owner then cry how he would take care of the whole canteen. Rani asks the owner to work here. The owner tells Rani that students can’t work, it effects their studies. Rani insists on him, she will do the cleaning in the morning and after the off time, and in the break time she will take orders. The owner offers her 35 rupees per day. Rani calculates it won’t be enough for her. Raja and friends come to canteen, Raja boasts about the bundle of 5000. He boasts in front of his friends that he fulfilled the responsibility of a son today, but hurting his father. He announces a treat for everyone in the canteen and calls the waiter. The owner sends Rani.
Raja cheers watching Rani as waiter and demands for a plate of self-respect. He narrates crumbled eggs with bread. Rani serves the menu. Jeewan comes to the canteen determined to break the records and have 9 samosas. He watches interestingly as Raja orders Rani to put the egg inside the bread then sprinkle black pepper. She sprinkles some, Raja asks her to keep on going, then orders to stop at a point. She turns to leave. Raja asks her to taste it now and tell him how it is. Rani apologizes she isn’t allowed to taste guest’s food.
Raja forces Rani to eat it else he may complain the manager and she will have to pay for it. She was about to take a bite, Jeewan comes to stop Rani. He demands Raja what is his problem that he is troubling this girl. Raja demands why he is being out of character, if he wants to be a hero. Jeewan calls him and his mentality as third class, Raja stands to his confrontation and asks him to focus on his samosas. Jeewan says this girl is talking legitimate.
Raja demands when an illegitimate began to speak about legitimacy. They wrestle with each other. Rani tries to intervene. Raja reminds Jeewan this is college not home, here his father won’t save him. Next time his bones would get broken, does he remember the pain of a broken arm? The manager accuses Rani for being responsible, Rani demands what is her mistake in all this. The manager suspend her from job. Rani open the knot of her dupatta.
At night, Meena urges Rani to hurry up. They are getting late for camp. Rani asks her to go, Meenu says alright she won’t go as well. She takes Rani outside to see the stars without telescope. Raja sets the telescope for the girls. Meenu and Rani come to window, Rani tells Meenu she is afraid of dark but her Dadu says the darker the night is, the more the stars are here.
She miss her Dadu a lot, she has no one other than her Dadu. Meenu was sure Rani will fulfil all her Dadu’s dreams. Rani sings a song. Jeewan and Raja stop at once at the voice. Rani notices Jeewan in the window, who hides himself. Meenu insists on Rani to continue with her song. Raja takes hold of the telescope, Bindu demands what happens to him when he hears music. Raja smiles he recalls his childhood at this voice. Rani wanders in the corridor while singing. Raja comes following the voice, enjoys the fragrance of flowers nearby enjoying. He watches Rani standing ahead, with her face veiled. He slips in the corridor and loses her, looks around in every room across the corridor. Rani comes to the window of hall when Jeewan comes to place a hand on her shoulder, she appreciates her voice. He asks Rani if she needs to win her scholarship money. There is a singing competition that Raja wins for last three years, if she participate and win it the prize money is Rs. 1200.
The next morning, Raja auditions the college girls for singing like last night. Bindu comes there demanding what is this, Raja wonders if she is someone from them. Bindu demands why he has been looking for that singer so desperately. Raja remembers Rani’s lips and eyes that were visible to him last night and leaves saying she won’t understands.
Rani speaks to Hema and was worried for Raaj Mata’s health. Hema tells Rani that it’s a 150 expense, she will take her to doctor when it’s the first. Rani promises she would help Hema with it, thinking about Jeewan’s words. She was sure she will soon send her a money order.
In the class, the VP makes an announcement about talent competition. Raaj insults him by calling him Chilgoza. The VP announces a prize money of Rs. 1200. One of Raaj’s friend asks the VP to hand the prize money to Raja without a competition. Jeewan awaits Rani, she enters the class. VP demands why she is late in class. Rani promises it will never happen again, she comes ahead and fell down. The class mates mock her for her broken shoe. Raja taunts at her that her dreams and her shoes have broken, she must now get away from this competition. The class is over, Rani wipes her tears as everyone leave.
Rani cries outside the classroom worried for Raaj Mata’s health and her scholarship money. Jeewan comes behind her keeping a hand on her shoulder. He sits beside her, he questions if that Raj always insults her how she would focus on her studies. She must participate in the competition and should win it, this way that Raja’s mouth would be shut forever. Rani wonders how he can be sure that she will win, she never went on a stage. Jeewan suggests Rani to take first step, the rest will be done itself.
