Jhanak On Starlife Wednesday 17th June 2026 Update, Jhanak tells the journalists that Aniruddh is her father and that her mother, Nutan, revealed this truth before she died. She says Aniruddh refused to accept her as his daughter because he is afraid of losing his reputation and his current family. According to Jhanak, Nutan was an honest woman, but Aniruddh betrayed her. She explains that she is living in Kolkata to study at a medical college, but Aniruddh wants her to leave the city.

Jhanak says she is ready to undergo a DNA test to prove she is telling the truth. She adds that if the test proves her wrong, she will leave the city without any argument.
A journalist asks whether she understands the consequences of making such a serious accusation. Rishi steps forward and says that Jhanak is telling the truth and that he fully supports her. The journalist then asks about Rishi’s forced marriage to Jhanak.
Rishi explains that he had gone to Simulboni for work when the villagers forced him to marry Jhanak because of a misunderstanding. He says that Aniruddh later forced both of them to get divorced. Rishi adds that Jhanak only wants justice, and he will continue supporting her.
When a journalist asks whether there is still something between him and Jhanak, Rishi replies that it is a personal matter. Another journalist questions why he is involving himself in this issue. Rishi says he is standing by Jhanak as a friend.
The journalist points out that Aniruddh’s daughter, Aditi, is Rishi’s wife. Rishi responds that he is fighting for the truth and that this battle has nothing to do with Aditi. When asked whether she would accept Aniruddh’s wealth if he acknowledged her, Jhanak firmly says she does not want his name or money. She is only fighting for justice for her mother.
Later, at the police station, Aditi asks Rishi if he is trying to prove that Aniruddh attempted to kill Jhanak. Rishi replies that an investigation is underway and that he is not part of the investigation team. They then go inside.
The police inspector informs everyone that he has received a report from the investigation team and needs to question them. Aniruddh asks why he is being investigated in such a manner. Arshi also questions why they are being interrogated over a matter involving a maid from the Chatterjee family.
The inspector asks Jhanak to explain what happened. Jhanak says she went to the kitchen because a member of the catering team told her to keep some food there. She recalls smelling something strange before the kitchen suddenly caught fire. She screamed and then fainted.
The inspector then asks Rishi what he witnessed. Rishi reveals that the kitchen door had been locked from the outside. When asked who hired the caterers, Aniruddh confirms that he hired the catering team himself.
A constable brings the catering team leader to the station. The inspector asks him why one of his workers sent Jhanak into the kitchen. The team leader insists that they did nothing wrong and only carried out their duties.
The inspector sarcastically asks whether sending Jhanak into the kitchen and setting it on fire was part of their job. Aniruddh questions whether the inspector is trying to suggest that someone deliberately attempted to kill Jhanak and whether he is planning to file an attempted murder case against him simply because he hired the catering team.
The inspector replies that he will do so if the evidence points in that direction.
Rishi asks Aditi if she still intends to defend Aniruddh. Furious, Aniruddh tells him to keep quiet. Rishi says that his suspicions are becoming stronger and that Aniruddh already knows Jhanak is his daughter.
Aniruddh dismisses the claim as nonsense. The inspector warns the catering team leader that he will be sent to jail if he continues hiding the truth. He says he believes the team leader is only a pawn and wants to know who the real mastermind is.
The catering team leader maintains his innocence. He explains that Jhanak was sent to the kitchen simply because she was nearby and says that even some of his own workers were about to enter the kitchen. He asks why anyone would intentionally destroy their own business.
The inspector announces that the matter will now go to court. Aniruddh says he will hire a lawyer and is confident that nobody will be able to prove him guilty because he is innocent. The inspector tells him to speak the truth in court and reminds Rishi to remain unbiased throughout the case. Rishi assures him that he will not disappoint him.
Afterward, Jhanak tells Rishi that he is suffering because of her. She says everyone will blame her and accuse her of destroying his marriage with Aditi.
Rishi disagrees. He says Aditi is supporting the wrong side, so there is no reason for him to support her. He then admits that he loves Jhanak.
Jhanak immediately asks him not to say such things. Rishi asks if she does not love him. Jhanak quietly says she does not know. Rishi insists that he knows she loves him.
He encourages her not to give up and assures her that the truth will eventually come out. He says Aniruddh cannot stop it forever.
Jhanak tells him that she came to Kolkata to study, but now she has to spend her time going to court. She also says she cannot continue living in Rishi’s house because his family does not want her there.
Rishi asks her not to be upset. Jhanak thanks him for everything he has done. Rishi says he helped her because it made him happy to see her happy. He encourages her to focus on her studies and reveals that he had many dreams for her future.
Jhanak admits that she also had a dream. Curious, Rishi asks her what it was. Jhanak reveals that she dreamed of spending her life with him. However, she says she will never do anything to force that dream to become reality.
Rishi tells her that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her.
Jhanak asks what happened to his love for Aditi. Rishi admits that he once loved Aditi, but he believes she has changed. Jhanak says that not every wish in life comes true. Tears fill her eyes as she speaks.
Rishi gently holds her hand and asks her never to let go of it. Jhanak nods and holds his hand in return.
