Ananya comes to her parent’s room. Sunanda opens the door. Ananya asks about Kamal as she wants to talk to him. Sunanda says he is asleep. Kamal comes from behind and tells Sunanda to go and sleep. He poses to be angry and takes Ananya outside to speak to her. Ananya laughs, Kamal also responds with a smile.

Ananya tells Kamal that Ketki doesn’t love Shiv. Kamal says its good, there is no fear of heartbreak. She must now fight for her love, as he did. He was Brahman and her mother wasn’t from the caste, but they still married. He assures his support at each step of her struggle. Ananya hugs Kamal. Sunanda watches this. Ananya wishes Good Night to Kamal and goes upstairs. Sunanda thinks she must fix Kamal, and get Ananya on the right path as well; she only belongs to Mann and not Shiv.
Dai Maa prays at home for Shiv. She wish Shiv comes close to Mansi, overcomes his Satan and gets his love of life.
Ananya comes to Shiv’s room. She drags him inside and says she won’t let him marry Ketki. He will have to confess his love before their wedding rounds. She will fight anyone who comes between their loves. Shiv brings a jug full of water and bathes Ananya. Shiv says his mother taught her to bathe an angry man’s head with cool water. He poured this water so that Ananya can decide with a cool mind. Ananya replies the decision has been made, and soon Shiv will express his love with her. She believes Mahadev will make him express this love.
The next morning, Ketki argues the tailor as her dress wasn’t ready. Ketki was shocked to see Ananya preparing for the Haldi and asks how she can be helping with the arrangements of the wedding. She poses to be innocent. Ketki leaves to get her earrings. Ananya mix a powder in the turmeric. Kamal comes to Ananya and tells her not to forget that Ketki and Shiv don’t love each other. Ananya says she has worked really hard for the turmeric and Shiv will have strange sensations after applying it.
Sunanda watches this, and comes to the room. She pulls out a doll and looks into a test tube inside its neck. The tube was empty. Sunanda says her medicine has ended, she must do something else. She comes upstairs to knock at the bath’s door. Mishra ji comes out immediately. Sunanda says Ananya wants to break Ketki’s marriage. She won’t be able to stop Ananya, as she might mind and Kamal was also not ready. Mishra ji says Ananya won’t be able to stop the wedding at any cost. He forcefully shakes Sunanda’s hand, who toss it away and leaves.
Mishra ji comes downstairs and finds Amma ji sorting her jewellry. Radha stood with her. Mishra ji says he and his daughter will take ownership of all these jewels. Mishra ji gets Amma ji’s feet and shows her the chain he had gifted her on his wedding. He wished to keep it with him till his last breath but now he will have to use it on his daughter’s wedding. Radha offers her own bangles to Mishra ji, and her earrings as well. Amma ji scolds them as she is alive and will take care of everything.
At the Haldi ritual, Shiv was seated as the groom. Ananya walks downstairs with the turmeric. Dadi asks why she brought two bowls. Ananya says one is for Ketki, which is mixed with rose water, scent and some herbs. Kamal stood behind Ananya. Ananya says she couldn’t apply the girlish turmeric to Shiv. Kamal whispers what she is upto. Ananya says sometimes pain also brings heart closer, and one need to impart pain on other as well.
Shiv takes his shirt off for the Haldi ritual. Ananya sits around to apply the turmeric on his face, his arms and rest of his body. She asks if its hurtful. Shiv replies nothing hurts with her hands.
Ananya applies the turmeric on Shiv’s face and body, he straightens up at once, then stares at Ananya with tears filling his eyes. Ananya asks Shiv if he has some problem. Shiv replies he can never get pain from her hand.
Mishra ji and Sunanda watch them together. Mishra ji wonders why Ananya is repeatedly asking if he has some problem. Sunanda says they will have to taste the turmeric to know if she mixed something. Mishra ji agrees on Sunanda’s call. He comes to Shiv, then brings some of the turmeric to the kitchen. He tastes the turmeric, and feels burning of spice on his tongue. Sunanda pours him a glass of water, and deliberately miss and drop it. She cheers thinking Mishra ji is fond of touching her.
Shiv leaves his seat and runs upstairs. Ananya follows. Sunanda sends Mishra ji behind them. He comes out and takes Rekha aside. Mishra ji sends Rekha upstairs to see what’s happening. Ananya stood outside the bath with ice water while Shiv watches the burning turmeric. Ananya says she never wanted to use the trick, but Shiv didn’t agree to her conditions. She was upset why Shiv was hurting himself and cleans his body with the towel. Rekha comes to drag Ananya away from Shiv, she calls Amma ji, Kamal and everyone from the house upstairs. She didn’t want to hear anything from Ananya.
She blames that Ananya is selfish, she is flirting with Shiv. If she liked Shiv for her Ketki, who is unable to control himself and stay loyal to her Ketki. She turns around and was slapped by Sunanda. Sunanda says she never wanted to hold a hand over her, but she blamed her daughter today and crossed her limits. No one has the right to blame her daughter for anything. She speaks to Shiv that he will soon marry Ketki, and will have to leave this house; its better he leaves this house right away because he will continue bringing disgrace to her daughter Ananya. She joins her hands to Shiv, and leaves with a wink for Mishra ji.
Shiv comes downstairs with his bags packed. He stops by Ananya then turns to walk outside. Kamal stops Shiv. Sunanda was shocked. Kamal says he needs to remove the misunderstanding of everyone. Have they seen the marks on Shiv’s body? He is a confectioner and realizes Shiv is allergic to turmeric. Ananya was only helping Shiv. He scolds Rekha for blaming Ananya pointlessly, she is the daughter of the house and was insulted badly. He speaks to Shiv that he needn’t leave the house at all, he wasn’t mistaken. He is the son-in-law of the house and like a son to him; Shiv can stay in this house as long as he wish. He hugs Shiv. Sunanda straightens her spine. Kamal silently nods at Ananya.
In the room, Sunanda comes inside furiously and shuts the door loudly. Kamal asks if Sunanda is angry. She rolls a newspaper on the table, rolls it and beats Kamal with it. She asks why he was being so lenient to Shiv against her wish. Kamal shouts that it’s enough. Sunanda sits upset, as no one in the house understands her. She can’t bear Ananya being blamed. Kamal asks why Sunanda didn’t favor Shiv or Ananya; and instead wanted Shiv to leave the house. Sunanda says she doesn’t want Ananya to come between Ketki and Shiv. Kamal clarifies to Sunanda he will support his daughter at any cost, no matter what. He leaves the room. Sunanda thinks she must grip over Kamal soon, else she won’t be able to do anything.
Ananya and Ketki come across each other. Ketki held a list, Ananya reads the whole list of demands including designer clothes, foreign vacations etc. Ketki says Shiv has government job and is the lone son of his parents. Ananya asks Ketki if she is marrying Shiv for money. Shiv himself commutes through a motor bike. Ketki tells Ananya not to underestimate her abilities.
Ananya comes to speak to Shiv in his room. He didn’t want to speak to Ananya. Ananya says it’s really important for her to speak to him, and will sleep right here otherwise. Shiv turns the lights of room off and get in bed. Ananya sits at his room door. She feels cold but falls asleep besides the door. At night, Shiv wakes up and finds the water jug empty. He hears Ananya’s cough outside and recalls she had said she would sleep here. He opens the door. Ananya’s head falls to rest on Shiv’s leg. Shiv intently watches Ananya, then straightens her up. He carries her in his arms and into his room and on the couch. He drapes her with the blanket and turns to leave. Ananya holds his hand from behind.
